is it possible to play new hd games from gameloft on android 1.6
i have an archos 5 it and nfs shift worcking very well

Well, it is possible.
You can! But you only a few of them are running on 1.6! Look for the "Xperia X10" versions, they do also work on our Archos devices. As an Example you can play Lets Golf and Dungeon Defenders,Hero of Sparta ... But NOT the games that need Multi-Touch (2.1+) Modern Combat, Gangstar...
Why don't you upgrade from 1.6? :S

Hey Guys.
Im gonna buy a Optimus 3D and my girlfriend a Galaxy S2.
My question is. Can i play (lets say dungeon hunter 2) in 3D while my girlfriend plays the normal HD Version(together in multiplyer) on her S2?
Or do i have to download the HD version?
Or can she install the 3D version(of course without using 3D)

Since its GameLoft, sorry to say, you need to get the Optimus3D version for your Optimus3D and she'll have to get the GalaxyS2 version for her GalaxyS2.
You can get the HD or 3D version, won't matter. I believe the converter can convert the HD to 3D, but don't hold me to that because I haven't tried it.
Anyway, even if you bought the 3D version, it wouldn't work if you install it onto the S2.
Its just some stuff Gameloft does to "ensure" compatibility.
So, we cannot play together?
Im wondering how many people are there to play online with? If there are different verions for different mobiles?
If its a mmo then you two can play together without any problems. The different versions shouldn't affect any of that.
I was only saying that you two can't install the same version on two different devices.

That really sucks. I dont think that there is a same version of any game for the S2 and the 3D(without 3D)
What I meant is, if its an mmo then that usually means the game is played on their servers. If that's the case, then you and your gf can play together without any problems. Differnet versions of the game still leads to the same game on that server.
If you are playing a one player game meant to be played on the phone only, then its impossible to play with her together. Closest thing is to sit next to her and play at the same time and... pretend you're going through everything together.
I don't know what game you two have in mind since I don't touch Gameloft games, but you can do a quick google to see if multiplayer is available for that game.

you can play asphalt 6 on both devices but you have to buy them seperately thats because both use different CPU and GPU so both phones have different apk's of the game.
Its not about running both devices. I want to play multiplayer with my GF. As many peope say, you have to have the same version to play together.
So, lets say version 1.0 of Dungeon Hunter 2 supports the Galaxy S2 and the version 1.2 Supports the Optimus 3D. That means we cannot play together?
Havent tried but as long as the versions are the same I dont see why not. By versions I dont mean 3D and HD. I mean the game in general.
So the question is, has anyone played and noticed other players in multiplayer who dont have the 3D version?

What HD games are compatible with the Desire S? Currently playing GTA and Backstab, and they're great!

If you can download/buy them in you phone Market then they are compatible. You will not see the incompatible at all.
darn GTA... I've bought it on the release day, works so so (it helps a lot to delete whole audio folder) now I cannot redownload it anymore, as it is not available for D.S...
anyway... try shadowgun, dead space or modern combat 3. pure awesomeness...
Asphalt6, NFS Hot pursuit are good too.
Let's golf 2 HD, AirAttac HD, Gt Racing HD, Real football 2011 HD, Spider-Man HD, Splintercell Conviction HD,
GTA, Shadow Gun, 9mm HD, backstab. Nova2. PeS 11. Spiderman.

You just need a Custum Kernel and Owerlock you CPU ><

Some wont appear on the market though, as they are unsupported applications.

I'm loving GTA. Had to find a way around to play it, and running ICS on my handset made it a potential nightmare. But, even though it's a bit slow, it's no worse than when I installed it 10 years ago on a minimum spec PC. So it brings back twice as many memories!

I can't get tintin or assassins creed working, it just force closes, and tintin just closes down without fc,
however asphalt adrenaline hd work with modern combat 3, gta 3 and need for speed shift, 9mm hd
It's ICS, some of them aren't compatible. NOVA 2 won't work, and even though it works Asphalt6 has random red lines during play.
for the random red lines to dissapear you need to use the updated apk file, so the red lines are gone for me
except now fast five has red lines everywhere, polygons or something i assume
brothers in Army II also FC after playing several minutes each time on my XE with sense3.6.,but modern combat 3 and 9mm hd running so good!

NFS hot pursuit = bad cars sound (skipped)
game faults, not ICS....
using chainfire 3d for some and they work
nova 2 not working for me
For me latest asphalt works fine.
MC3 not works.
GTA3 works fine

i'm on elegancia and tintin, asfalt , modern combat 2 works for me .... i bought them on android market ....
Dont know about ics but the recent mc3 update screwd it up completely.. runs like a snail on acid

Yes, issues with Spider Man Total Mayhem, Shrek Kart and the free racing one who's name evades me right now.
Running DXLP7 on SGS2, same results rooted and un rooted.
I even wiped everything including /sdcard re-flashed and still the same.
C'mon gameloft get some updates out, my son will love you!

Having emailed them, Gameloft have admitted issues with certain games and ICS. Apparently they are working on updates...? Meanwhile results same on XWLP3.
Spiderman version 1.0.0 works a little better than 1.0.2 but still hangs/crashes

exactly! version 1.1.1 is totally messed up! i had to revert back to 1.0.1
any update on this issue? nova 2hd loads up for me then just shuts down after the intro vid and assasins creed shuts down after the first tutorial level after i pickpocket the key for the gate.. ics 4.0.3

Hi all!
Which is a really problem with HD gameplay on ICS? Multi Touchscreen driver?? because All the time FC. and i look that if i pressing 2 place on my screen after i have FC if i playing just one fingers after good but this not good.
So i just want ask. Is there any ICS builds which we can play HD games? If solution the oldered build than ok just pls says that which is.
I think lot of people needed good game and this is a one thing that lot of people not upgrade hd2 to the latest ics!!!
For example installed to my friend and he love the "new" phone just Hd games doesnt work after he said that flashing back Cm7 or mokee os.
