I've been working on this theme for a while and it's far from done, but so far I've gotten through most of the widgets without issue and most of the communication apps (Gmail, Messaging, Google Voice, Google Talk). I plan on more deeply theming apps like I with those four, as time permits and as apps are requested.
NOTE:Themed apks are pushed to /sdcard/BlackOut for easy installation through "Files" File Manager via one click. Update.zip style packages for all three keyboards can be found there as well.
Any and all donations go to testing devices so that I don't have to rely on external testers and can guarantee a quality theme for everybody in a more timely fashion. Currently, I only have a DX to test on and the other builds have been holding up release for a couple of days each time.
This is my first work for Android so let me know what you think. All themed elements were created from scratch except for the wallpaper, which I found at deviantART. I need to get the link...
I would appreciate it if you could give me a heads up and ask my permission before any modifications are made to the theme and published. Again, please always include a link back to the original post. If you do end up creating a port of this theme, please create a separate thread with a link back to the original. The reason I ask this is that I don't want to confuse people who are installing the original with posts related to ports, etc that might not affect them at all.
I should note that the theme at this point is pretty much constantly changing and expanding and is far from a final product.
I also take no responsibility for anything that may happen to your phone. If you follow the directions carefully, all releases have been tested ahead of time, and you should be fine.

As well, Gmail and Google Voice have been themed throughout making them black, with more to come similarly. As well, as of Preview 3.1, now there are some flash-able patches that you can apply over the theme to customize it. These can be applied by following the same directions to apply the theme, only selecting the respective file that you want to flash instead of "DX_BlackOut_Preview.zip".
As of Preview 5, DX_BlackOut_framework_10percent.zip and DX_BlackOut_framework.zip are no longer pushed to /sdcard/BlackOut. Instead, simply pick your flavor when you download the theme originally. DX_Swype is now being pushed to /sdcard/BlackOut along with the rest of the keyboards. ESPNScoreCenter has been updated to include the latest market updates.
Coming Soon:
More UI elements themed
More apps themed

Fission Related / Black Out Unrelated:
I posted up a hotfix on FRM that'll fix overclocking on the DX in Fission. As I said, it's available on FRM, but here's a link to the download as well: http://www.4shared.com/dir/hDK37Odo/DX_Jrummy_OC.html

Just a suggestion...
Maybe you could make the background color for both the Facebook and Twitter apps all black? Otherwise, the widgets are great.
Also, how about implementing those dark, transparent lock sliders that Joe used in his X_1.1.4 theme since this is a black out theme?
Great work!
P.S. Funny that you would theme the MyVerizon app...such a ****ty app now that they don't support WiFi

LauncherPro Plus' Twitter Widget
Maybe it's just me, but the Twitter widget for LauncherPro Plus doesn't show anything - just a big, empty, black box. This could be due to the fact I'm using the paid, unlocked version of LauncherPro, however its Facebook widget syncs just fine.
On the other hand, the widget for the themed Twitter app that you included on the SDcard works just fine, so go figure

Thanks for the compliments on the widgets. It took a bit of work to get them all looking and acting the same. I do intend on making Facebook, Twitter, and a bunch of other apps blacked out as well. I just started with the widgets and the email/IM clients.

I'll definitely keep this in mind. Going forward, there's still a lot of UI elements I still want to get to. That's why this is just a preview

The LauncherPro Twitter widget should work fine. I'll have to look into it in the next couple days and issue an update if something's wrong. I actually only really use the LauncherPro Calendar widget of all of them.

Yeah I had a feeling it was just my LauncherPro Twitter widget at fault. I'm pretty sure I just need to reinstall LauncherPro again.
One last thing I wanted to bring up - can you make the tab font color more readable for certain apps like 'Contacts' and 'Phone'? You can't read the selected tab writing because its the same color as the background.
Ok I'm done griping. Thanks for the quick reply

Don't worry about it! Continue griping, I appreciate the constructive criticism.

First of all, man I love this theme. No theme lasted on my DX as long as it did (yes i.e. > 1 day lol). Anyways apart from facebook and twitter themeing, I would love to see a colored outline on popups (like those "working" and "success" screens ) like green outline in revoultion themes. I guess it'll make it look much better. Or you can vignette the popups. Just some ideas.

Blacked Out Swype Keyboard
I think this Vanilla Android Swype keyboard (labeled Vanilla, but actually black) goes perfectly with this theme (credit to phimuskaspi).
Screenshot:

[Attached below]
The way I installed it was first renaming the current Swype.apk in \system\app to Swype.bak using Root Explorer.
Then I copied this Swype.apk to the same directory and changed the permissions to match what the old one was.
Then reboot.

At some point I'll definitely be getting around to theming the keyboards provided on the phone as well, but in the meantime that definitely does seem to fit the theme fairly nicely.

I just did some quick testing and the Twitter widget in LauncherPro Plus is working fine for me. I'm not really sure what else to tell you. Maybe try re-authenticating your account via Menu > Preferences > LP Widget Settings?

That was my mistake. When I uninstalled the previous version of LauncherPro, I failed to manually delete the backup I had made on my sdcard. After deleting it this time, the Twitter widget works just fine. Sorry for the confusion.

A keeper !!!
Thank You !!
(DX 2.0.9.4)

I'm glad you like it! Just as a note, I believe AngDroid has cautioned against applying current themes for 2.0 - 2.0.2 against the 2.0.9.x beta builds as there's some expected incompatibilities. BUT, if it's working and you're happy, that's great. I just can't promise support for any possible issues that might come up, but I'll definitely try my best to help out if anything comes up
Keep a lookout for an update in the next week or so with the changes mentioned in "Coming Soon"

2.0.9.4!?
Where did you find the download link for the beta may I ask

You can find that on IRC.. #teamdefuse on irc.freenode.net I believe. The theme has not been updated to play nicely with 2.0.9.x though, so unexpected issues might come up when applying this to any of the beta builds. The beta builds change so often, that I'm waiting for an official release to "upgrade" the theme.

Just a little bug in google voice app. In "to" field when you start typing the name of person you want to send the message, it gives prediction of the names and comes as dropdown list. In that drop down list the text is white on white background. Cant see the predictions?

anyway you can remake this for 2.1 rc2??

I actually was already aware of this I've been having trouble locating the proper properties, etc to modify to get that to work, but I'm definitely working on this. It bothers the hell out of me.

I will definitely be upgrading this to 2.1 when the time comes. I can look into upgrading for the RC's, but it's no simple process and if packages / things are going to be changing a lot from now until 2.1 final, I'd rather just wait than have to update the theme over and over again. I'll see what I can do though. You're fast btw! RC2 was just posted today as far as I know.

Original Thread @ nexus-nation
How do we go about flashing this?
Just flash on top like with Dream/Magic ROMs?
This is for nexus only.
same question. Just bought, rooted, flash with new 1.3 add ons so far so good. still having some issues with blank black screens, tried debugging mode, still nothing, yet sometimes it works..
anyways, how do we go about adding this?
Well if you have unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone also have a recovery put it on your s.d and go into recovery.
How to get into recovery:
You need to turn the phone off and turn it back on holding the track ball down, now hit the power button to go into bootloader mode. Once you do that you will see recovery hit the power button to get into recovery then your ready to flash.
I know it's for Nexus, I was just wondering if it was simply the same process we all followed with our G1's and Magic's. Thank you for response.
Hey Manup, just some feedback my good man. Seems like you're using enomther's script to flash the theme. The problem with this is, it deletes everything in /system/app and readds it. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, except some of us are pushing the corporate calendar there, so then when we flash the theme it gets removed. Would it be possible to either 1) edit the script so that it don't mess with the /system/app folder, 2) input the individual files to be deleted and readded as opposed to a *, or 3) add the MotoCAL.apk to your theme build?
Thanks for the great theme!

The template *could* be updated to be very specific in what it deletes ...
But would have to call the delete command like (I dunno) 80 somethin times.
But instead of adding it exclusively to the theme ... the templates could be updated ....
I just hate seeing "Deleting Files ..." in recovery like 80 times LOL

Couldn't you just set the script to remove all of the odex files and then all of the APK's in that folder would be overwritten by yours? Just wondering if the APKs even need to be deleted first. Just thinking of options.

Yup! That's essentially what I'm suggesting ... and there's like 80 somethin .odex files to be deleted.
If that included apk's ... the number woulda been more like 150 somethin.
The update script doesn't except wildcards in the delete commands, that's the real kicker, so no "delete *.odex".

On 2nd thought ... it might be scriptable via the runcommand (or something like that) in recovery. Similar to how cyan backs up the gapps on his g1/mt3g mod.
I'll take a look at it. As that would be a much better solution than randomly including apps in themes and/or nuking the entire app and framework directories.
If I can swing it ... I'll update the templates.
~enom~
Looking great so far...
what is the name of the weather widget being used in the OP screen shot?
Beutiful widget is the clock I am using and I will be adding theme to all the apps in the app folder so thats why I did not remove ill just add the stuff in framework that supports moto apps thats the prob it wont remove apps by installing a theme if not all your apps would be gone.

probably have already tried this and not sure if this would help, or even work in that environment, but maybe a workaround? Still uses wildcard but not directly as it would replace the variable with the resulting stdout of the executed command:
for x in `ls /path/*odex`; do rm $x; done
or if everything in a dir but no wildcard:
for x in `ls /path/`; do rm $x; done
looks good, can see that some items on the notification bar are low-res, cant wait to see where you take this!
Thanks guys glad you like it I was updating my eclair rom and I am working on a new custom set of notification icons so I am working for sure on this.

Me and 3 others would love this. Or at least a second version that inludes MotoCAL.apk

[ROM] New! Aloysius 2.1.2 (6-29) | New Color & Clear Taskbar!! - OC/JIT - Snow Theme
UPDATE - ALOYSIUS 2.1.2 - You Do Not Need To Wipe Coming From Aloysius 2.0.9! - YOU MIGHT SEE A SLIGHT INCREASE IN SIZE, BUT THAT IS THE CONSTANT COLORIZATION UPGRADING OF THE ROM...IT HAS BEEN OPTIMIZED TO THE FULLEST
This is my version of Aloysius 2.1 and I hope you all like it. For the most part I was waiting for the ability to OverClock, and thanks to Jus10o...this has come to pass With overclocking, and taking advantage of this amazing kernel Toast has bestowed upon us all....you can choose to run it as is.....with it being set to default at 710, or you can download "free" from the market Overclock Widget and place the kernel at the settings of your choice. You can also download SetCPU here.....thank you coolbho3000

Screenies courtousy of Elvesofdarkness - Thanks!
I am not done with Aloysius....I'm currently still working on more color menus and turning the HERO into some good sweet eye candy! I have also made a WHITE version of A2.1 - I am calling it Aloysius Snow
**IMPORTANT** - For those who use alarms regularly, the "worldclock" app that comes with the ROM will not shutoff on the vanilla lockscreen. If you would like a working alarm....download this DeskClock.apk and push it to your phone. Adding DeskClock.apk broke FriendStream widget, and also the weather/clock widget on my homescreen. If anyone has any suggestions of apps out there that are great alarms, I'll be happy to put the best ones up here on the front page

UPDATES (06-29-10): This update is not a full ROM...it is a "FLASHABLE UPDATE"!!! Not too much has been updated other than the taskbar. The taskbar has received an amazing update after several members have told me their dislikes of the old taskbar...like the inverted signal indicator and such. After many days and countless hours of searching and in fact creating my own....I have come up with some newer, updated, more classy icons for our taskbar. I hope you like it! The next major update will be when a stable version of Froyo is presented to the Hero and I will be themeing that Aloysius style as well (if there is a menu you would like to see in color for the next update, PM me and I'll do my best to get it in )

Here we go guys!!!!! ALOYSIUS ROM 2.1 (pronounced "as always" aloe-wish-ous). This is a custom built ROM, based from our latest and greatest ROM from Damageless. In the past month, I have received quite a few requests to do a 2.1 version of A1.0, and recently a number of requests for the Rosie I just mod'ed. So, I am pleased to announce the rebirth of my very first mishmash. It's A1.0 with a facelift, a tummy tuck, nose job, and totally new parents...lol. ALOYSIUS 2.1
It is a complete, "tweaked and Mod'ed to fit my needs" version of Damage Control. I am presenting Aloysius with my fellow peers in the mere chance that there are others who share my needs and wants, in a Mod'ed ROM.
My "must have" fade in/out screen transitions are included in this ROM....just go into Menu > Settings > Sound & Display >
> Animation > and check, All Animation!!!
It sports "add ons" Darch's AOSP Email Client "pop-server email" as well as Gmail.
I put together a custom Rosie I am calling KoniRosie. I also put together a Themed Taskbar and Themed Power Control Widget!
...and there is 100% no haptic feedback in the custom "raised button" dialer included! Facebook syncs wonderfully!!!
Thanks to thank:
Damageless (for such a great base and finding out how to get things to work)
Treve (for assisting D in everyway possible to put out a first class product)
Flipz (for the color slider on the mail app)
coolbho3000 (for letting XDA'ers have access to your amazing work)
Toast (for the OC GoDmOdE Kernel)
Jus10o (for making the kernel accessable)
JsChiSurf (for finding out how to take out haptic feedback when we dial!)
Avalaunchmods + TrevE (for the audio fix)
mssmision (for sharing "LWP & Sense" with the world!)
Spencer_Moore (for porting this ROM over to the Eris forum for others to enjoy!!!!)
networx2002, DanWalker, and stricklerjosh (for helping me test drive this ROM)
Special thanks to regaw_leinad for helping a brother out, and getting us all VVM working on this ROM.......along with optimizing the heck out of it
...and to anyone else I may have forgotten, please PM me and I'll definitely give credit where credit is due!
I've done nothing but put a slew of goodness into one flashable package.
Aloysius 2.0 started out merely as what "I" want in a ROM...and has sinced turned into so much more than that!!! If you would like to use this Mod'ed ROM as well, and perhaps report back on possible issues....that would be awesome. Any help in finding fixes would be greatly appreciated.
Here is what I have done to it:
1) Live Wallpaper Fix Included
2) Color Icons in DeskClock + All Over Phone by Konikub
3) Raised Button Dialer by Konikub
4) Themed Task Bar
5) Killer Nexus Boot Screen (Zenulator)

21) Color Menu by Konikub
22) Color AOSP Dialer
23) Helix Launcher Included
24) AWD Launcher
25) Over Clocking and JIT Enabled
26) White Version
You MUST wipe before flashing if coming from another ROM!!!!!!!!
This will take a long time to load.....just wait and be patient, there are a few fixes that are being implimented. Go off and do something and be back in ten mins or so It will sit on the black HTC screen for about 6 mins, then go to the boot animation for another 5 mins....then you'll see the set up wizard!
To get the fastest possible ROM…..set Auto Killer to Moderate or Aggressive, and set SpareParts “window animations” and “transitions animations” to FAST. - FOR YOU OC'ing USERS....Do not use AutoKiller, as it will cause conficts!
I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do

SIMPLE "HOW TO" PUSH VIA ADB
Below are pushable apk's you may be looking for. I've gotten a few questions on how to push these to your phone via adb....here is a quick run down of the procedure, and if anyone has anything to add to this "PM" me and I'll add it.
1) Choose the client apk you wish to push to your phone, and download it.
2) Move that file to your C:\android-sdk-windows\tools folder
3) Plug your phone into your computer via USB cable and set to "Charge Only"
4) Press the "Start" button on your computer, and in the search box type cmd - then hit enter (a little black box should pop up).
5) Copy and paste this as your first command cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools - hit enter.
6) Then this command next adb remount - then hit enter.
7) Then this command adb push xxxxx.apk /system/app/ - then hit enter.
8) Then this command exit
Obviously xxxx is going to be replaced with what ever .apk you are looking to push
Sometimes you may need to reboot to see the effect take place, as it is with a lockscreen, but not all. Keep in mind, a reboot is any devices best friend
SIMPLE "HOW TO" REMOVE VIA ADB
1) Plug your phone into your computer via USB cable and set to "Charge Only"
2) Press the "Start" button on your computer, and in the search box type cmd - then hit enter (a little black box should pop up).
3) Copy and paste this as your first command cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools - hit enter.
4) Then this command next adb remount - then hit enter.
5) Then this command adb shell (you will see a # pop up in the next line)
6) Then this command rm /system/app/xxxx.apk - then hit enter.
8) Then this command exit
Obviously xxxx is going to be replaced with what ever .apk you are looking to remove

I haven't tried Gvoice....I'm sure it would work on this, as it's the same sprint build that most others are running. As for the AOSP dialer, I have gotten it to work, just when you hit the phone button in the rosie it goes directly to contacts....then you have to hit the dialer 'tab' above. But for some odd reason when you go into your app drawer and hit the phone app...it goes straight to the dialer.
I will look further into this as it is my FAVE dialer too!

Woww 10+ on the reversing Nexus boot screen- sick as hell
Can you share the lock screen?
I wiped and flashed, got through the boot screen then HTC white screen comes up, then superuser permission comes up I select allow always and it goes back to the HTC white screen and has been there for 5 minutes. It is strange because when the lock screen shows I can see the top taskbar and I was able to hold down the red power off button and was able to power down. I turned back on and the same thing is happening, just sits at the HTC screen

last noob question since i am new to the rooted world, is this based off of a 2.0 update or a 2.1? im guessing 2.0 since it says "Aloysius 2.0?"

Minimalist_Lockscreen_Icons - http://bit.ly/dVj33T
Updated 02-09-2011 to contain custom application icon on rotary lockscreen.
Install Instructions: PLEASE READ!!!
1. Set MetaMorph delay to around 1000 (My exact number is 1054) then press Close
2. Press Unzip/Extract new theme
3. Navigate to where you have Minimalist_Lockscreen_Icons.zip located
4. Select the file
5. Press close on the on the pop up that appears
6. Press Apply all!
7. It WILL force close com.android.phone when it applies the Phone.apk, I do not know of any way around this.
8. While the force close pop up is on the screen, another pop up menu will appear behind the force close pop up and the buttons will say either Continue? or Stop; you must quickly press Force close on the force close pop up, then press Continue? on the other pop up menu; it will then start applying the framework-res.apk
9. The device may freeze up at this point, if it does freeze up (mine did), then wait about 30 seconds, then pull the battery and boot your phone
10. Everything should be applied now
Animations by rover.prince - http://bit.ly/iejwtm
I take no credit whatsoever for these animations.
I have taken them from rover.prince's theme at the request of some users.
Here is the thread where I got the animations.
Apply this with MetaMorph.
awesome, will give this a go in a few days
You may want to consider changing the compatibility to #14, since #15's phone doesnt work.
On another note, this theme looks GREAT. I appreciate the hard work for us over here in the incredible forums =)
Updated to cm_inc_full-16.zip.
Using the minimalist theme....love it......it would be awesome if it came in a red or orange to compliment GB...or even all plain white rather than blue.....but all looks great....cheers!

Updated to cm_inc_full-17.zip. Fixed the "&" problem with the keyboard, also fixed the letters not showing on the popup when you hold a letter.

I've had all white in the status bar since May last year when I first started on what has become this theme, so I needed something new. Also, since GB has the "fully" images that are normally green, I went with the blue to match everywhere else.
If you want to make the blue images white (would require least amount of work), then download the source from the OP, open it up, take out SystemUI from /system/app/ and framework-res from /system/framework/ and place them somewhere easy for you to work from. Then, go to SystemUI/res/drawable-hdpi/ open up all the white images that have blue counterparts, then use save as to save the white images as the blue ones as well. Next go to framework-res/res/drawable-hdpi/ and do the same there as with SystemUI. Next hook your phone up to your laptop/computer via usb and run the following commands:
Code:
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk .
adb pull /system/app/SystemUI.apk .
(the . will place in your working directory, so if you don't want it to go there then type the desired location)
Open up SystemUI.apk with 7-zip (or similar program), go into the res folder, then go into the drawable-hdpi folder, drag and drop your newly saved images from SystemUI/res/drawable-hdpi into it, finally close the window (if it asks you if you want to update then click yes).
Open up framework-res.apk with 7-zip (or similar program), go into the res folder, then go into the drawable-hdpi folder, drag and drop your newly saved images from framework-res/res/drawable-hdpi into it, finally close the window (if it asks you if you want to update then click yes).
Finally you need to run the following set of commands
1. Reboot your phone to recovery.
2. Make a nandroid (I only say this to cover my arse, normally I wouldn't for myself).
3. Over adb do the following commands
Code:
adb remount
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app/SystemUI.apk
adb shell reboot
minimalist or incognito? cant really tell the difference..either way, i dig it! thanks.
OH and i almost forgot..can u supply a flashable zip to the font that was used in the theme?

There are a few reasons its hard to tell the difference...
The first being the bulk of that theme is my work. Sadly, whenever bgill55 is confronted he likes to gets rid of any evidence of its existence. (that was the second theme of mine he had taken without any credit, the first being the first theme for the Nexus One)
The earliest I was able to find a reference to Incognito was here
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/koush/76595-theme-black-minimalist-incognito-cm6-final.html - 09-01-2010.
Here is when I first put out the base for that theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=668559 around the end of April beginning of May.
Then there is this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734046
where I put out the rest of that theme. Initially released 07-24-2010.
My themes aren't the only ones he's passed off as his own, I know BlackIce for the Nexus One (by Amac25).
The really annoying thing wasn't so much the lack of credit as it was his asking of donations for it.
More fun facts, look at the 7th screen shot in this thread http://www.droidforums.net/forum/bgill55/106516-screen-shots-linear.html and compare it to the dialer screen shot in either this thread or the thread for Minimal. Also, look at components of the search widget in the 5th screen shot and compare it to the 2nd screen shot in the Minimal thread. Then look at the who he credits with making that theme. Of course he and that other guy made every part of it that is themed.
Sorry for the rant of a post, but that is really about the only thing that has aggravated me with theme-ing, which is why there is a "special disclaimer" about not wanting to credit and a donation link.
Good to know I apologize for my lack of knowledge ...really appreciate all your hard work.

I haven't used Sense since it was a new thing on my G1, so no. Also, while a good chunk of it would port easily enough, I think would be quite a few things that would have to be redone or redesigned to work with Sense.

HOLY CRAP did this clear up so much.
ive heard so much here and on df.com about the ( let me rephrase that ), "borrowing of the idea" but never really new the complete scoop of it all.
Is there any chance that this theme would work with CM6.1? I have only installed a Few ROMs and only one theme, not sure if I am willing to make the jump to Nighties just yet but I like this theme a lot.
Is there a release of this theme for CM6.1 that I just cant find?
Any way to get this to work with the latest nightly - #20?
Flashing 17 bootloops - as figured.
Can't wait to try this when I get home and finally move from CM 6.1 stable to the CM 7 nightly builds.
Great job on the theme, keep it up!
Updated to cm_inc_full-20.zip.

No, there isn't a version of this theme for froyo, sorry.
The more I use this the more I love it. Makes me not want to load a new nightly until this theme is ready for it

-The dev team over at http://uot.dakra.lt/ for making this theme possible! Make your own by visiting their site!
-Adam2010, for his themed Keyboard[Other colors can be found here] Visit his site.
Known Issues:
-Transition animations may not work on builds not produced by CyanogenMod Team[default left unchanged].
-May not work with builds not produced by the CyanogenMod Team.
-Problems often emerge when used with "typhoon" builds, none that are serious have been reported, however parts of the theme have not been applied.
-For some users, using Rom Manager's "Fix Permissions" may solve issues involving FC's or "invisible windows" (none have been reported)
Notes:
-Lockscreen is not CM lockscreen it is Widgetlocker[$]
-Typhoon can have minor issues with this theme, such as part of the theme not being applied. I recommend using another rom with this theme.
Instructions:
1)BACKUP!
Theme Installation:
2)Flash just like any other zip.(No wipe needed however it is recommended that cache and dalvik-cache be wiped, just in case)
3)Upon restart go "App Drawer=>Theme Chooser" then pick "HoneygenMod UOT"
(it commonly says that the images are to small, ignore that. Phone users[rather than tablet] shouldn't be able to tell the difference.)
4)Enjoy the fruits of my and others labor.
Boot Animation Installation:
[tip: use R/W permissions in your file explorer]
2)Use a root-file-explorer(I use "Root Explorer" but something like "ES File Explorer" will be fine) to go to "/system/media/" and rename "bootanimation.zip" to "oldbootanimation.zip"
3)Copy "bootanimtion.zip" from where ever you downloaded it to(likely the folder "download" on SD Card) to "/system/media/"
4)Reboot phone to make sure it worked.
Screen Transition Installation:
2)Copy "fold_MM.zip" to folder "AndroidThemes" on SD Card.
3)Go "App Drawer=>MetaMorph"
4)Select "Unzip/Extract new theme"
5)Select "Fold_MM.zip" and apply the theme and RESTART; if it gives you an error keep reading these instructions.
6)If gives it gives you an error(common), reopen MetaMorph and Select "Pick existing theme"
7)Go "Flip_MM=>Flip.xml"
8)Apply theme and RESTART
If Updating:
1)it is not required, but to avoid issues, select an alternate theme for your phone and uninstall your current version of HoneygenMod.apk
2)no wipe required however it is always a good idea to wipe cache and dalvik-cache just in case.
3)flash package as normal
4)Upon restart go "App Drawer=>Theme Chooser" then pick "HoneygenMod UOT"
(it commonly says that the images are to small, ignore that. Phone users[rather than tablet] shouldn't be able to tell the difference.)
5)Enjoy the fruits of my and others labor.

*Custom Transition Animations(Flipping)

Working on SavagedZen-RC4 here.
I did end up with one problem, though. Followed the instructions perfectly, and the theme is working. Looks GREAT, btw. I liked it so much I took a chance on trying it out even though I'm not running CM7.
The only issue that popped up is that now that I'm running it, the ThemeChooser FC's constantly. At random times. I've since uninstalled it, but...just thought I'd bring it to your attention. I'm not going to be using it anytime soon because I just love the look and feel of this theme and extras.

when ever you want to go to another theme you will have to reflash your current version your rom(no-wipe), if that doesnt stop the FC's, then go "settings=>applications=>manage applications=>all apps" then find theme chooser.... look for something that says clear data and press it. and then if that doesnt work you will have to reflash your rom AND wipe...
have fun =D

I'm creating this thread to invite anyone that have interest in using Android launcher app to get some user experience feedback and post it here for me. Please also test if it has some bugs, the phone manufacturer/model and which ROM you're running are all needed very much for me to fix them.
Sorry, for now is English only, soon I'll put back the other languages.
People always need to use smart phone with one hand while driving, working, drinking coffee or eating something, and the large screen smart-phone made you very difficult to use at that time.
OF Launcher used newly design with longitudinal slide, one finger will touch things easily. Users can slide to open multiply drawer with customized wallpapers which will get an unprecedented visual experience.
OF Launcher shows your apps at the bottom where you can touch them easily, without icons and widgets cluttered your beautiful desktop. Then, an amazing thing will happen. You can set your own pictures or even stars’ posters as app folders’ wallpapers, which will be shown on your phone screen totally, and these personalized wallpapers will make your phone stylish.
Rather than spending a long time in other old launchers with all your 10 fingers, just swipe and slide to manage your Android with one finger will be a better choice. It's an awesome concept for a launcher...I know it's in early stage but still I would say it need a lot more refinement.I am running it on a Redmi Note 3 with official MIUI Dev ROM version 6.12.15.
Some suggestions from me
1. Please add icon pack support for the launcher
2. Support for system animations
3. Try not to use in-built music player, make it as a controller for the player that's running.
4. Make the side menu on both sides work by edge swipe. Feels better
5. Option for custom app groups
6. You may provide widgets in the wallpaper area which are related to the current app menu/app group eg. On home group it may show weather and time or something (news feeds maybe) in the same way music shows music control social may show social feed (I guess you get it now )
7. If the above request is done, the menu on the right will be free for your awesome imagination.
8. Provide option for live wallpapers in even though it's in the area where wallpaper is, as KLWP+OF launcher will do wonders.
considering bots? like google asistant
Consider not using Google for only download. Till then I cannot use willingly

APK update.
Hi
Here is OF Launcher APK shared on my google drive.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9ysdhkEPKVKU1pPTXNZdmdmSUE
Sony M2 Aqua - EagleXperience (based on 5.1.1) with locked bootloader & xposed
So far I LOVE this! It's perfect in terms of being customizable but not overwhelming. (I often waste lot of time planning out a homescreen only to tell myself I'll get to finishing it eventually.)
I pretty much agree with the above comment (icon packs would be cool; more widgets, though I like the way they look on the hidden side menu, etc.)
1. I like the wallpaper that shows up when the launcher first starts up, the black/orange space one, but can't find it in the folder wallpaper picker. Can you make that one available?
2. Other than the home folder, the app drawer isn't functional. I tap on any app and it says "unknown" (screenshot won't attach). They do open from the home folder, though. (Also can you make the "trending" and pandora box fully hideable?)
3. It takes a while for newly-downloaded apps to show up in the launcher.
4. Allow non-google engines in the search widget. Connect the music widget to the media player app.
5. It seems to use a lot of space, especially for how simple it is, but I haven't scrutinized every other launcher to compare, so maybe it's normal.
I'm not on Facebook, so I can't join the group. But I'm happy to continue giving feedback/usage statistics to help you out.

4.I will.
5.I will improve the whole code.
A last beta version, official version will be released this month
Hi all,
Here is a last beta APK you can download
http://www.oflauncher.com/oflauncher.apk
What we need you help to test this time before official version launch:
1. Is there any other problems when you are updating?
2.Will it make your phone crash or slow?
Let me know the problems’ details, so that I can check it and improve OF Launcher in the next 10 work days. I will focus on solving this kind of problems. Thank you in advance.
no longer can find app in google play. Am I missing the updates? Also is it possible to maybe group apps in a small folder that could be placed on picture area on top of each app folder. An if so can it be an optional to show same said mini folders on top of all main folder pic rather than have to make same mini folder for on pic on each main folder. Also maybe instead of making it compatible with icon packs. You could just make an option to change Icon picture to a personal gallery pic you can resize.Love your launcher. Willing to pay up to 20$ just to keep add free. Also not sure if it's been mentioned. But on samsung s7 edge you can't put same app in different folders.Automatically removes from previous folder once added to a new one.I think you may of fixed this but also notice when switching from hd,to fhd,or wqhd apps start disappearing.Once said resolution switched and kept on for a day said appsdo eventually return.Thank you again for hard work. Sould be top ten launcher 2017.
Good job!

Hey, I've update a new version. Please have a try and give me some feedback.
Launcher settings backup ?
Would you be able to add backup option for launcher settings. Whenever the app crashes, i ll have to redo all the settings. Instead it would be easier to restore from backup
Thanks

Just installed. I must say it's a very fluid launcher. Keeping a clean home screen with the draws sliding out is real nice. Great job! Looking forward to the future updates.
