Are there any apps that let me set the proxy? Like in school, I wanna use the wifi, and I know the SSID and pass, and I connect, but I can't do anything...I have 2 options for proxy, either manual config (proxy:8002) or the automatic proxy.pac file...
Maybe u can use Firefox mobile and the plugin Proxy mobile(from guardianproject.info). U can set a proxyserver as usual in the desktopversion.
HavenĀ“t tried it yet.

Hi Shobbow
I noticed this too, since i was trying to run all my traffic through a secure tunnel to my home computer.
I believe you need to use something like this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=447230
hopefully the route application should be able to route all traffic?
Let me know how you get on since this would be interesting if you can do it

Finally an application for Proxy Setting
check the market or check
http://www.parso.co.uk/proxysetting
Please tell me that I overlooked some obvious settings...
I have a home wireless network I use for my laptops. I configured the same network on my Fuze. It says connected, IP looks ok, I set DNS to OpenDNS, but I still cannot use IE, Opera, Skype or any other Internet application.
Now, Fuze is my first WM phone and I am not familiar with all the settings. Did I miss something?
Try disabling the proxy.
Start File explorer and go to Windows
Click on "Disable Proxy"
Then try it.
to turn proxy back on
click on "Restore Proxy"
(With the proxy off, you cannot use the AT&T links and apps)
I have not found these files. I use EnergyROM.
Nevermind, I just updated router firmware and the problem is gone.
There are static ip, gateway, mask in advanced wifi setting, but there isn't proxy setting. I'm on CM7 #41. Can anyone help on this? Thanks much!
CM is still Alpha, which means not all features implemented yet.
Have you tried searching the Market for a proxy app? I saw this one just now, along with many others: http://www.appbrain.com/app/http-proxy-settings/org.credil.proxysettings
I've never tried them, but couldn't hurt for you to.
I was also wondering about the wi fi proxy settings, i tried the http proxy settings application, it doesnt work for me, plus it doesnt have the option for a usename and password....
anyone else got an ideas?
I would like to know if it's possible to setup an HTTP Proxy for Wifi networks.
I managed to setup the proxy (calling the "com.android.settings.ProxySelector" activity by code or using an app like Any Cut) but when I'm connected to the Wifi it seems that the proxy settings are ignored (I'm trying with multiple "default" apps like browser, maps, ...).
Sometimes it seems that the settings is read correctly by the browser and the proxy works without problems, but it seems more like a bug on the app (because is really hard to reproduce it). Anyone here that have clear ideas about this topic?
Hello,
I need to setup proxy for my Sensation, but nothing is working.
I've tryed many apps like ProxyDroid, Auto Proxy, etc.
When I'm setting proxy and trying to open browser (for ex. google.com) it's says 'site is unavailable' = no one app is working when proxy is set
Also tryed proxy options in wifi settings (Wifi is working then without proxy...)
Phone is rooted.
I don't have any ideas anymore, please help.
*bump* .
Sorry, but I don't believe that nobody know anything about this case...
