I haven't had any problems but only when I just installed 2.1 and it lagged but now it is alright...

loving launcherpro .....would like to have endless scrolling on it
i.e. - moving from home screen 5 to 1 in a endless loop.
cant figure out how to do it though....Is this possible in launcherpro?
I'm not having the problems the op started this thread about, paid version and silky smooth!
I have hidden my status bar, is the only way to get it to reappear other than making it visable again by pressing menu or linking it to the home button?

I just got the ADW.Launcher and it has been the best home replacement app so far.
You have the nexus one like app drawer and shortcut dock, and you can adjust the speed the pages flick, page bounce back (like the iphone) and set the number of pages you want to have.
Fully supports all widgets, and really fast (no lag at all like open home or a home)
the best thing is i've used my x10 for 5 hours straight and its only gone down to 95% battery left.
give it a try!
Am using it. Love the Sense Preview, although it could be less choppy (but they fixed most of that in the latest version). Also like the dock bar, and applications drawer.
it great, however, before on one of main screen I had option to turn wifi, bluetooth, phone and gps on the fly by tapping on it. Now after I installed ADW, it is gone, does anybody know how to get it back or something alternative?

Yeah, it should be a widget. I believe it is called quick settings.
Easily the best homescreen replacements. Tried a few Home++ for example and this one is a keeper... havent tried GDE yet....maybe in a while but for now ill stick with this

Yesterday I installed launcherpro plus on my Sensation. I love the 4x6 grid and smoothness.
Naturally I've selected launcherpro as default when pressing home. However, after a while (possibly after approximately 20 home clicks) it pops up the selection screen for sense and launcherpro. The setting for the default launcher has been lost. I reselect launcherpro as default and it's fine again for a while.
I've tried go launcher, and the same is happening. Sense is not playing along?

That's odd. I have been using LauncherPro for a couple of weeks and it has never forgotten my default launcher.
Try backing up LauncherPro data (in LP Preferences) and then clearing the defaults for the homescreen settings (in the Application Settings) then clearing the data for both Sense's launcher and LauncherPro No idea if it'll work, but it's worth a try...
Did you check make this the default action when it asks which browser? If an operation has more than one option ie Sense and LP android will keep asking until one is set as default.
Thanks for the options, but I still have this problem. Of course I select 'set as default', the issue is that after a while (it seems completely random) it pops up the question what launcher I's like to use. It doesn't remember my setting for Launcherpro.
I've cleared all data for both Sense (2 processes/apps with the name HTC Sense) and Launcherpro. No luck. Annoying. Running 1.28.401.1

I used it and was able to switch/reset however removed it later because I thought it might interfere. Didn't help.

I'm having the same exact problem too since yesterday. Can't remember if i've updated any app that might have caused this. Mine is more frequent, after selecting go launcher as the default launcher, it pops up again after a few seconds.. Plz help anyone... I'm using Sensation XE with Android Rev 4.1.13 rom with go launcher..
Are you using backed up settings that include the Calendar? I tried bringing my settings over from CM7 to Virtuous Inquisition and it was the calendar causing LP to bomb out - I found this out by starting afresh (deleted app data through app manager) and adding widgets one at a time.
Shame, cos I prefer LP's calendar over the stock one. Bit annoying that LP doesn't get any updates anymore (woulnd't mind seeing some new transition effects).
okay i found out what was wrong... i uninstalled all my recent updated apps using titanium backup, reinstalled them one by one and found out that its was one of my updated app called 'football kaki' that was causing the problem.. i reinstalled an earlier version of that app + data and everything went smooth.
i think the newer version of that app had some disagreements with go launcher..
well guess i hav to settle for the lesser then, at least i dun hav the annoying default launcher pop ups...
mine also happen to suffer this problem...Go launcher btw.
any more idea on how to find the culprit is?
There's a chance launcherpro is crashing, it gives you the option to use sense if it ctashes

I'm using Android Revolution and ADW EX launcher. Now I can't edit the icons anymore on adw ex. I hold down on the icon and nothing happens. Anyway to fix this?

Tapping it starts up the apps.....
ive just tried and mine works fine ?? im running everything the same as you.
1. Could do with a restart maybe?
2. Try removing the battery and see if that helps? Sometimes my screen doesnt respond to long presses.?

There's an option in ADW to lock or unlock the desktop. Sounds like it's locked right now. Locking prevents things like having your dock icons slip out every time you flip up the hidden dockbar but makes it so you can't do any alterations.

ughh forgot about that. I just uninstall and reinstalled it and its working now.
Glad it's working now! For all the options I tweaked with ADW, locking the desktop was the last thing I discovered.

I need help getting the stock moto launcher back on SCV5. I cant use it as a default period. I dont like downloading launchers and to be honest I actually like the moto launcher. Any help is appreciated. I tried setting the default launcher but the moto launcher cannot be set as default UNLESS I delete go launcher from my system/app folder but then it just messes my phone up....lol

I'm not sure any of that works with a custom ROM. Isn't Moto Homescreen frozen? What does the "Setup" app in SCv5 do? Does that set all the stock Moto stuff free?

Set up basically sets up you're phone like the stock ROM BUT as soon as you hit the home button you're in go launcher permanently. No home switcher will set motto home as default...:!

Try adding another launcher like ADW or Launcher Pro THEN clear Go Launcher as default in application settings THEN try hitting the home button and choosing Moto as default launcher. No need for a home switcher app if you have more than one launcher installed.

Moto doesnt show up in the list whrn I hit the home button, only the market launchers show up...

Right now im on rebel ROM so havent actually tried it BUT in theory it should free up moto home on here too if its not deleted right?
Edit: just tried moto home fix on rebelrom and it showed 3 launchers, default, set up and sony home...
Default = not a motoblur device
Set up = force closes
Sony = launcher on rebel rom

Sorry I thought I remembered Moto Home Launcher showing up. "Setup" however does show up. I don't know what that does. I'm familiar enough with Moto Launcher to know what I like and I prefer ADW Launcher so I'm not even going to attempt to see what "Setup" does. I assume you've tried it. What does it do?
Set up basically lets you set up your phone like first setting up a stock ROM, then it takes you to the stock moto launcher, but after you hit the home button its gone. Lol. I figured it out tho. I moved my blurhome.apk to system/app and then cleared my launcher default and chose home as default and bam, I have an ics themed moto home. Its awesome

Have you tried running "Setup" from the applications screen instead of the home launcher pop-up? Maybe running that will enable the launcher to be executed properly in the pop-up. Does that make sense?

OK so one of the features Verizon went out of their way to promote with the new ICS update was the "launch bar". Obviously I know where that is on the phone ICS interface, down there at the bottom. Where is it on the tablet? That would be awesome to be able to keep certain apps and shortcuts accessible on every homescreen. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to do it on the tablet though! Anyone able to help?

I think what verizon was talking about is the recent apps list where you can quick change to another app you have recently had opened. Do not confuse that with a launch bar that you may see on a windows PC. However, if that is what you would like to have then check out EOS 2.0 rom. It has this feature of putting apps down at the bottom next to the soft keys. And it uses stock launcher. In fact its what I like to call "enhanced stock experience". Great stable rom, awesome features.
I thought that too except they specifically said drag apps and shortcuts to the launch bar for easy access from any home screen, plus the multitasking button isn't new in ICS. Honeycomb had it too.
Honestly I think it was a marketing faux pas on their side because as far as I can see, the launch bar exists phone only.
