Hi, I have HTC Touch HD with an original ROM, OS: Win Moibile 6.1 Pro ENG.
"Start | Settings | Touch Flo | About" says that I have TouchFlo for Pocket PC Version 3.0 (Build 32567). And when I use a lover bar to slide to Settings, then I see under About: TouchFLO 3D 1.3.37395 0_1630 38.
- Which version on Manila (= TouchFLO, isn't it?) do I have? 2.0, 2.1, 2.5 ???
- Shall I use unofficial ROM in order to get some enhancements in the TouchFLO interface, i.e. install newer Manila version? Is it an only way?
- Are any CABs available to get better / additional components, e.g. new contacts, clock with weather, application launcher from today screen, better calendar, etc?
I have read a hundreds of articles on this site but did not get a clear answer, sorry!
Many thanks!

you dont have either, you have touchflo 1.3 by the looks of it if you want to upgrade your version of TF3D you have to flash a new rom as newer versions of touchflo are so well intigrated into the os they cant be installed as seperate apps
Is it possible to replace the clock in HD2 for a large analogue one like Hero - but WITHOUT changing anything else on the home screen?
Thanks.
Try max manila.
I had a look at this but the MaxTTM does not seem to work with HD2 to add analogue clocks and other bits(or I'm doing something wrong) and Max Manilla has only one analogue clock. Thanks anyway.
Max Manila has more analog clocks, there is an onscreen toggle which allows you to choose between multiple analog clocks and layouts. Download the Max Manila from the 5th post of the thread ("Max Manila 2.519202525 Ultimate - v2.5 (for latest manila 2.5)". Also read that 5th post and you will understand how it works.
However, installing Max Manila won't *just* change the clock. It is a complete package that allows customizations and enhancements from within the Manila interface itself.
Max Manila 2.519202525 Ultimate - v2.5 is not built for the Manila that is available in the ship LEO rom, it is meant for an older version of the Manila interface, and it is therefore a little buggy on the LEO. EDIT: Is not that buggy at all, it works great. Read two posts down to see why it was buggy at first. The Manila that is included on the Leo/HTC HD2 is 2.5.19211619.0. Version 2.6 of Max Manila will support this newest Manila build, and Max Manila 2.6 is not out yet. Soon.
MaxTTM is a tool to further customize Manila, but how it exactly fits into this story I do not know - I just figured all of this out myself this night too
Thank you very much for the detailed info. so all the "components" available for download will not work on Leo, as they need MaxTTM to utilise ? as some good analogue clocks are available only as components... the default analogue with Max Manila is a bit naff.
I believe all the extras/addons/components that you can find for Manila 2.5 (this post has a list of most, if not all, of them - only use the blue ones. Also check this thread, it contains the same list of hacks) require you to have Max Manila installed on top of your Manila. To use some of the clock replacements etc you indeed have to use MaxTTM to put them in your Manila.
On a sidenote, Max Manila won't work well when you have done custom Sense/Manila 2.5 tweaks which can be found on various xda-developers LEO pages. For example you have to remove the "22. Change Your Quicklinks from 9 to 16 Slots" tweak (link) before you install Max Manila. Probably other standalone Manila tweaks won't work well with Max Manila either.
As a matter of fact the current Max Manila 2.5 is not buggy at all on the LEO. I thought it was because I had used some standalone tweaks for Manila, which are not compatible with Max Manila. Remove all of them before installing Max Manila and Max Manila will work great, all or most of those tweaks are built-in Max Manila anyway - so you don't have to loose a thing.
Can't wait for Max Manila 2.6 which is supposed to be even a lot better!!
To complete the story, I have to mention HDWall, it is a tool to create custom wallpapers for Manila, and to change the icons on the tabs. Also there is a thread with a collection of wallpapers. I don't know whether this will work without Max Manila, I think it will.

Thank you again mate, its getting clearer now, I did have individual tweaks like "number of icons" etc installed before installing MaxManila ! One more question..which MaxTTM works with Leo (with latest rom) as I previously installed latest 4.1 and kept crashing just before executing changes. but this may have been todo with me having installed individual tweaks prior like you mentioned?
I don't know about that, I haven't gone so far as to actually use MaxTTM. I got my LEO just a few days ago and I have had all the time in the world the last few days, so I've been busy investigating everything and playing
Ok, seems that MaxTTM definately does not work with HD2, and apart from that app, I cant find another way of installing different clocks/components.
I just saw MaxTTM uses .NET 3.5
Did you install that, and did you do the necessary registry change to use it?
13. Install Compact Net Framework 3.5 to Make Old Apps Work Again
Some apps you may have used on another phone will not work on the Leo unless you install Compact Net Framework to your phone. Download the cab from the following link and install to Device only - not Storage Card and then reset. http://justpctech.com/PPC/NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab Also make sure your phone is using the 3.5 as default and not 2.5. Go here: HKLM/Software/Microsoft/.NETCompactFramework. Change the DWORD data of entry 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0. Next Change the DWORD data of entry 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1 and then reset. This disables 2.0 and enables 3.5.

yes but keep getting Unexpected Error in MaxTTM
I've started another thread along the same lines as this one. Is there a way of installing Rolex, Tag or Omega analog/dual clocks as a standalone cab. I don't want to install MaxManila as I have a number of different reg tweaks that I don't want to uninstall or change. I found this cab that allows me to install a Rolex, but I can't install my 16 Quicklinks app afterwards.
Is there any way I can have both analog clocks and 16 Quicklinks without MaxManila or any other type of software?
Thanks

- icon placing in start menu needs to be done correctly
- playback issue with WMP with large storage cards - seems to be fixed - please confirm
- you still have to do basic things when rom starts (calibration, time zone etc etc)
- Naked rom is almost Naked (it still has Palm's tools and utils)
All minor bugs:
Phone: Channels - pressing Ok does not exit. Windows key does not cause exit either.
Sounds & Notifications: vibrate always not completley showing. (problems with porting new WM builds to sqvga)
Outlook Mobile: 'Menu' icon does not appear. But if you press the space between keyboard and OK icon menu list apears. - is this still active?
Major bug on some devices:
Phone goes to sleep and you can't unlock it and use it... trying to solve this it seems like it is some Palm driver / WM 280xx build issue

Nice work Heechee : thank you !!!
I'll try your ROM as soon as the "automatic connection setup depending on provider" option will be included
it is there and maybe will work for you but it is not the same like on ralph or blackstone
i have to figure this one out...
I am currently using Mattbee's 23089 version which is very good, are there any major differences in this 28008 to make it worth upgrading to ??????
Automatic configuration is working, but database is older one, so there is a good chance that it will work in most countries.
Good job!!
Thanks Acidhax
Everybody was asking for it now nobody wants to download & test it and give suggestions, comments, feedback
I will, tonight or tomorrow

will test it 2day or 2moro, got some Courswork 2do .... but looking forward to it, any ideas on RealVGA bit ?
i want new contact app from 6.5.3 and new notification bit at the top, but i find Start button at the bottom excessively big + the HardKey is just next to it lol, (i guess i will remap it to something else) and i hope RealVGA will make Start Button and other soft key a bit smaller, as it takes a lot of space on Small Treo Screen,
well i will give it a go l8r whan i have time...

Those "new" buttons were made to be used with our fingers, that's why they are "so big". I find them very usefull !!!!
I also like big buttons at the bottom it is the thing I long waited for.
Vladimir, I found the good instruction for RealVGA, and will try to implement it into ROM
Tried it on previous ROM and ended up in chaos on phone good luck is that I made backup before that

ha i was about to download previous version, will wait for these to b uploaded now
problems with tweaking the first welcome screen trying to fix it right now
A lot of changes made from the 1.0 so I hope it will be OK
If everything goes well now it will take a while with my semi-slow ADSL to upload it cca 1 hour
and I think I will not try for a while to implement RealVga because I tried 2x and it keeps ruining the whole ROM... so untill I find a instructions how to cook it ...
edited all first welcome screen settings but still stuck on orange windows screen, perhaps it needs time to install everything I've put into rom, so I'll just leave it,
don't know what to do: upload or not?
I'm going to sleep now I need to get up early and I've spent almost whole day playing with this thing :

Hi all!
I'm just wondering if there in any way (soma CAB maybe) to put some icons-shortcuts (e.g. 3 or 4) to Home Tab in Manila 2.1.19202517?
I have this version of Manila cooked in EnergyROM so I have this big White Clock with weather, Call History and Calendar beneath. When one slide a finger up on the clock it gets minimalized to much smaller one at the top of the screen and there is plenty room under Calendar for e.g. shortcut to camera, browser, notes... whatever!
Is this possible to put some icons there. It would be... fantastic! I'm using HTC Touch Pro with again: Manila 2.1.19202517 cooked in EnergyROM Phoenix 2 (WM6.5).

Thanks man, but I did so many changes to my present software (I have loaded tons of CAB files so far) and personalized TP on my own way that doing it all again with another ROM is a little bit scary
After all You have to HR the phone after installing a new ROM and all Your data and personalization is lost, right?
Maybe simply there is a CAB to do what I want without changing absolutely everything?
Or is there a way to back up all my data and presets... installing a brand new ROM... and then restore my programs, personalization and all?
im looking for the same thing, i couldnt get 2.5 to work with MMS picture mail so i went back to 2.1 and i want the program shortcuts on the home tab also.. is there such a thing for 2.1?
Anyone? Nothing?
Someone is working on it but nothing yet
Seeking suggestions for a new WinMo 6.5 Light Rom for the 6700, I currently have a discussion open on my website ( in my signature ) , specifically for this rom, as well as others I am working on, Beta testing opening shortly. Also working on a few other 6700 projects available there as well. Registration required but free, and for the record this is NOT a shameless plug for my own website, I will be posting the info here as well.
Right now I need suggestions as to what could make this a very streamlined ROM with only the best powertoys for the 6700/WM6.5
Perfect rom for apache?
For me, don´t have a perfec rom for apache. Fact.
Any idea about wpa2 working (with or without a driver) on a xv6700 ?
In all cooked rom (winmo 6.5), I see:
- Low resolution for some icons;
- Don´t have a new cool "touch" keyboard (like mmblanco HTC keyboard) -> Ready for use or how to set a default;
- Camera button: Works only if you mapped with a long press;
- Today plugin Launcher: With a shortcut to "task manager" - icon of task manager in worst resolution;
- Transfer/receive files on bluetooth (obex) don´t works in many cooked roms.
WinMo 6.5.3 is not cool - buttons in bottom is strange... don´t match with a hardware buttons...
WinMo 6.5.1 is better - menu on top.
Compact Framework 3.5 and 2.0 - must have!
Another point...
Many guys reports "it´s ok", "all right!", "stable and fast", "the best rom"...
but...
... did not test thoroughly all the features and resources.
Only after a while realize bugs or not always relate.
Could you understand me?
This is a problem about all cooked roms: feedback wrong or inaccurate for people who barely tested!!
Best regards.
