I am new at XDA-DEV and want to post the following problem:
My TyTn II is a Dutch Orange Branded PDA. I would like to update the WM 6 to a higher level but as Orange does not exist any more in Holland (bought by T-Mobile) and T-Mobile never sold the TyTn II there is no way I get any OS updates from them. Also HTC will not help me as the reffer back to Orange and to T-Mobile.
Can anyone give me som suggestions how to upgrade my OS or maybe even change over to Android on this Kaiser?

There is a guide to hard-spl in sticky this will bypass carrier vendor check and allow flashing custom ROMs.
Then you can flash any Kaiser ROM and find the one that best suites your needs.

Iam very close to buying the TyTn II from Hongkong (only chinese version ava there) can i buy it and flash it with the WWE Rom ported here? will i get the whole country ID error? will it be possible for me to flash it with the WWE Rom.
Please help REALLY want this beauty

If you search the threads you can find locations in Hong Kong that do sell English versions of TyTN II. As I understand it there are of course fewer English versions in Hong Kong, but they are available there. In Taiwan I found that the only way I might be able to get a TyTN II in English is through special arrangement with my cellular provider.............. go figure as HTC is a Taiwanese company.

I have just bought the Wife a new phone, orange SPV E650, i think its a version of the HTC S710 (HTC Vox), the phone is unlocked and i am wanting to know if i could flash the phone to a t-mobile rom? if so, what version of MDA is it and do you know where i can get the rom from?

I do not believe that T-Mobile ever offered this device, thus they would have no ROM for it. None of the MDA-series ROM customizations will work on it either. Stick with one that's been cooked by our chefs.
And yes, the SPV E650 is an HTC S710.

How do I get (WM6.5) for T-Mobile.?
most likely this update s gonna come from tmobile itself not htc. so its the waiting game pretty much, i got the same phone.

As stated above, all official upgrades for branded phones come from the carrier, not HTC, It is up to T-Mobile to decide when or even if they are going to offer a 6.5 upgrade for their phones.
In the meantime go to the Rhodium section and learn how to unlock and flash you phone, then you will be able to upgrade your pone with any official or cooked rom you want.

I have been looking for the best performance on my HTC and reading the Threads around this forum for long time and saw the radio versions for ROM's, so i need some help with this!
My ROM Radio version is the original provided from Vodafone UK (3.44.25.27).
Been looking at this:

Found that PT Vodafone is running on ROM Radio 4.49.25.91
So my question is, what will happen is i upgrade to that radio version?
Will i loose any data and programs that i have instaled?

is there anybody out there, who can explain me how to unbrand my HTC 7 Pro with T-Mobile Rom? Or a HTC 7 Pro with O2 Rom?
Both are german Roms which i would like to have unbranded, because I want to use the original HTC ROM...
For T-Mous the software is:
Bootloader 2.1.22.50.0
Firmware: 2250.21.20101.111
Radio: 5.65.09.25a_22.45.50.21U

Hi. Pls I'd like to debrand my new htc 7 pro too (with german T-mobile) into standard International English edition.
I purchased the phone from a supposedly credible phone vendor from Nigeria, but was dazed to find T-mobile on it. I also feel and believe some limitations exist in the menu and settings alike. I therefore request your expert assistance.
