[Q] Music Strobe Tuner - Droid X Themes and Apps

Hey!
I'm a music major and I just got my new droid x! I have seen a lot of ****ty chromatic tuners, but I was wondering if there was a version of this iphone app for droid... Or a similar tuner... Thanks.
http://www.petersontuners.com/index.cfm?category=150

for my needs, I find the free app, "gStrings" to be quite a nice tuner. There is a nice settings menu with a lot of great settings options to hone in the tuner for whatever you're tuning.
Hope this helped!

I've seen that in the marketplace and it just doesn't seem to be as precise and accurate as I need...

What would you want in a settings app?

I am developing a settings app to give users quick and easy access to settings with minimum clicks and I want XDA members' input. What settings would you want? I have a very user-friendly UI in the works. I like the apps My Settings and Quick Settings and how many features they packed in them. My UI will hopefully be better. So let me know your needs and ideas on UI that would make life easier for you. I know my standard settings will include Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, 3 and 4G, battery stats, memory usage, and a couple other things up my sleeves that no one else has. I want to create something so useful that they wonder how they ever managed without. Thank you!

Using for a little bit and very cool and smooth as well. And apparently it's also open source I think, for themes and such.
EDIT:
Their channel shows that these guys have made/ are working on other cool stuff...: http://www.youtube.com/user/NemusTech#p/
It seems to be great!
Had you tried it?
Thanks!

It is pretty great and has a bunch of useful features as well. Also, so far hasn't done any reloading while going and out of apps which is good. But it lacks landscape mode at present which is unfortunate. I'd like to see an explanation for the permissions (I always have concerns when I see free quality apps like this and unexplained permissions...) and some more widgets and options, but currently this is pretty cool. There's a lot to like about it.
its like like spb with less features need works

Looks very promosing. Just put my dinc through its paces. One nagging thing. How do you get four apps to go abobe the dockbar with the phone and browser in it? Im completly stumped, can only get three apps (market, messages and xda)

Regina is Latin for Queen. The "i" is pronounced as "ee".
Nothing suggestive about it.

I like it very much, and is working great in my Galaxy S, but how can I set my city (Ibiza) as default if it is not in the list?
Edit: Solved, found code through weather.com
Looks terrible on MDPI screens. Please fix, as it seems like it has great potential.
if thats the case.. then this is good for snapdragons only... and HDPI devices...
MDPI needs more graphic juice to run this dawg...
it doesn't look as fast as launcher pro, but it's suggestive. I think I'll try
Looks cool. Just want 24h time and date and celcius on weather.
Works great on my Nexus S, but need a lot more options, and more transitions would be nice, but great start of a good Launcher I hope.

You already have celsius on the weather, open the app up and you will find it in settings.
Found Celcius now thanks. Then it's only 24h mode left.

Looks and feels pretty slick. It couldn't locate my city for the time zone/wx tho :/ It will urk the ish out of me if it said New York up above the time all day. I couldn't get the weather to work either. Although I found out how to find your region.
Go to : http://www.weather.com/
Type in the city and state which you reside in.
Next press find weather.
In the address bar you should see something like this
http://www.weather.com/weather/today/Los+Angeles+CA+USCA0638
The last part USCA0638 I believe is the region code.
Hope that helps!
Thank you I'll give it a shot!

THANKS casual864 RIGHT ON THE MONEY BOSS !
This is very nice !!!!
Thanks for the find boss !
works on motorola xoom
It also works on xoom !
Still prefer the zippyness of adw-ex, but this definatly has some amazing eye candy...ill be keeping my eye on this one.
As with many third party launchers.. would be nice if it would accommodate adjusted dpi settings
Looks pretty cool otherwise
Very pretty!
this is a sweet launcher, kinda buggy/slow now. i noticed quite a bit of lag swiping to different screens, but this will only get better in time and as the dev's keep updating. I'm a sense guy, but i'm keeping my eye on this one.
Yeah, very pretty, and free is the best price anyone could ask for. The added widgets are a nice bonus!
But it's slow to swipe, which is really annoying, and running along side Widgetlocker, it's slow to reload the homescreens.
Also, buggy, I've lost half a page of widgets more than once, which is a little odd that it would keep some but remove others. still playing with it, more options would be nice, coming from LauncherPro with lots of customizable options to this is a little ...naked feeling, lol.
I think we have a winner. Its just like SPB Shell 3d but its free! Eyecandy for users who are design heavy like myself. Good job locating this OP! Imma have fun with this.
If only I knew how to modify framework ........ tisk ...

Imma stay with this bad boy as my daily launcher due to the fact that my fiance had to pick her face off of the ground! And she has never done that and she uses my phone regularly!

[HOW-TO] Make your phone perfect! Updated [8-10-11]

This is a [HOW-TO] guide to making your Droid Charge the perfect smartphone(by that I mean music, movies, texting, calls etc). I'd say the main purpose of the thread is to just let people know of some awesome apps and settings to use if you'd like the perfect phone(well, I can't change the atrocious amount of RAM, sorry). Keep in mind this is going to be quite the read but I can guarantee there is some nice info for even the most learned Charge owners. As always, if you found this post at all helpful just hit the thanks button to show your appreciation.
1) First thing's first, you're going to want to flash Clockwork(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112804) so you can flash tons of other awesome stuff later. If you ever have a question when doing anything root/ROM related you can either follow this guide(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1122657) OR just ask a question below.
2a) Next you're going to want to use CWM to flash your kernel so you can get rooted. You have 3 choices here; PBJ(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104634), PBJ non-voodoo(same link as PBJ just disable Voodoo through the CWM menu), and PBJ OTB edition(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126136). I personally use the OTB kernel because I like to have the option to overclock/undervolt whenever I feel it's necessary but apparently the non-OC kernel gets better battery life. I would never go with the non-voodoo kernel, the lagfix speeds up your phone and there are apps like Voodoo Control that really optimize it. There is only one real problem with Voodoo and that's that you MUST(I can't stress this enough) disable Voodoo if you are going to flash a different kernel. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend the Voodoo kernel.
2b) Now you're going to want to flash the sd-card fix(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118111). This is ABSOLUTELY necessary and not optional, if you choose to not flash this your Charge will only read your SD card as a cd drive, to put it simply it breaks your USB mass storage and you can't transfer files anymore.
3a) After all that is done it's time to choose your ROM(if you want one). Some ROMs allow you to flash through ODIN but most are just CWM specific, .md5 files are ODIN and .zip files are CWM. Currently, I'd highly recommend Eclipse(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144015). Humble(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146103) is in a very close second but I'll have to give it to Nitro, he made a great ROM. It has an awesome TouchWiz4 look and has a bunch of flashable files to modify the ROM to your liking. Humble on the other hand has everything built in, that's the one thing that made me switch to Eclipse. For example Eclipse has an optional Honeycomb theme you can flash but Humble has it built in so you are forced to sit with Honeycomb like it or not. You can also choose certain debloated ROMs but I never really saw the point, if you want to stay on TouchWiz and debloat just download TitaniumBackup and either freeze(recommended) or just uninstall that crapware.
3b) Now this is not necessary but I would highly recommend you flash an AOSP lockscreen over the puzzle one, it's more accurate(you won't ever miss your swipe like you can with the puzzle) and you can see your battery percentage on the lockscreen when charging, great when you're calibrating your battery or just want to know what your battery is at. Eclipse has a flashable .zip and Humble comes with the AOSP lockscreen preinstalled. I would also highly recommend the HTC Sense lockscreen(keep reading, it's posted below under the subtitle "Lockscreen" in step 4).
3c) If you didn't choose Eclipse or Humble(or you're on an older version) I would highly recommend the modified camera.zip(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144885) that causes your power button to act as a shutter when using the stock Camera app. It really makes you forget about the fact that you don't have a dedicated camera button because, well, now you do have one!
4) Now it's time for the fun part, no more flashing we're going to start with the worlds best apps to truly make this phone awesome! Keep in mind this is not necessarily in order of importance they're just the first apps that popped into my head.
Keyboard: SwiftKey X($4), Modded HTC Sense Keyboard Port(free, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416) - SwiftKey X is a great keyboard with very accurate predictions, it can be annoying at times but I've found this keyboard to be incredible. The modded HTC Sense KB Port is very nice, it's pretty much an exact clone and is very easy to install, not to mention free. Give the legendary keyboard a shot! Added picture(s) of SwiftKey X.
Messaging: Handcent SMS(free), GO SMS Pro(free, thanks caesus!) - Handcent SMS is a customizable messaging app to replace the crappy stock messaging. I would say it's best feature over the stock app is the themes, they look awesome! GO SMS Pro is much better than Handcent if you ask me. GO has very cool transitions between pages(check pictures), the themes are much better(and there's a LOT more of them, which brings me to my next point), much better dev support and it just has a cleaner look then Handcent. Aside from all that the features are pretty much exactly the same. Added picture(s) of Handcent SMS and GO SMS Pro.
Handcent:
GO SMS:
Phone: Stock Phone(free, preinstalled) + Caller ID Plus($4), RocketDial($4) - I used RocketDial mainly for the callerID but I found the app itself to be quite buggy at times, for example about 2 weeks ago I received a call and when I went to answer it the phone froze up for about a minute and caused me to miss the call. This might have been due to the fact that I froze the Phone app in Titanium but I don't know. Now I just use the stock Phone app with Caller ID Plus and it's working great. Added picture(s) of Stock Phone with the Caller ID Plus app(blacked out the name, address, zip code and phone number in that order.)
Browser: Dolphin HD(free) - Pretty neat browser, I like the tabs and the gesture feature and currently have no problems with it. You might also want to check out Opera, although I haven't personally used it. Added picture(s) for Dolphin HD.
Music: PowerAMP($5, there's also the option to try it out with a 15 day free trial), Mixzing Basic(free), Stock Music Player(free, preinstalled) - Now keep in mind I'm REALLY into my music, I need a very high quality music player with tons of options and a nice UI. That's what PowerAMP is, if you aren't a huge music person or you don't listen to music primarily on your phone I would recommend a free app, either the stock Music Player or Mixzing Basic. Added picture(s) of PowerAMP.
Weather: Eclipse's built in GS2 widgets(free), MIUI Digital Clock(free) OR Beautiful Widgets($3) - As far as weather goes they all function the same, the weather is always accurate so I'll just put it plain and simple; the Eclipse widgets look incredible, they are animated very well but that's about it. MIUI Digital Clock is fantastic, VERY customizable and a great bang for your buck(yes, I know it's free). Then we have Beautiful Widgets, it's very handy to have all the widgets it comes with but honestly, who the hell needs a clock? All that info is displayed on your lockscreen/notification bar. Half the widgets are pointless, it's a waste of money unless you really like the look of its weather widget. Hands down the winner of this fight is MIUI Digital Clock for its incredible amount of customization. Added picture(s).
Eclipse Widget 1:
Eclipse Widget 2:
MIUI Digital Clock:
Beautiful Widgets:
News: Stock News & Weather widget(free), US Newspapers(free, thanks piizzadude!) - The stock News & Weather widget is quite simple, just a constant feed of news with the occasional picture. US Newspapers lists a bunch of different newspapers & sports sites, it also allows you to add your favorite sites to the app. Added picture(s) of Stock News & Weather and US Newspapers.
Stock News & Weather:
US Newspapers:
Video Player: Stock Video Player(free),MoboPlayer(free, thanks kvswim!) - Stock works fine, it's simple and just shows a list of your videos. MoboPlayer on the other hand has a lot more compatibility, it has a few problems like not detecting all my videos but it's a great video player.
Emulators: Ataroid,Gameboid,GBCoid,Gearoid,Gensoid,N64oid,Nesoid,SNesoid,FPse(not available on the market, must be obtained from Slideme or other such websites. Free for a limited time.) - Not sure about you but I NEED to have emulators with me at all times, whenever I'm bored I whip out the GB emulator and play some Pokemon Red or get the GBA emulator and play some Mystery Dungeon, great for nostalgia or just straight up fun. Added picture(s) of the GBA emulator(Gameboid). Sorry that they're sideways, don't hurt your neck!
Games: Fieldrunners HD($3), Age of Zombies($3),Cut the Rope($1),Plants vs Zombies($4),Impossible Game($1),Doodle Jump($1) - I have about 40 or so actual games on my phone. Instead of listing them all and looking up all their prices I'm taking the lazy route and just giving you my absolute favorite and most addicting games. Unfortunately they all cost money but hey you get what you pay for.
Lockscreen: Agile Lock(has a free & paid version; paid is $1) - I would HIGHLY recommend this lockscreen for anyone who doesn't like the AOSP/Puzzle/Glass or just wants to use the HTC sense lockscreen(you know, the ring that has shortcuts and such). If you do choose this route you would need to follow the Androidcentral guide(http://forums.androidcentral.com/droid-charge-rooting-roms-hacks/88577-remove-lock-screen-charge.html) to remove your current lockscreen because all this app does is add a second lock to your phone, so you would need to unlock your phone twice if you want to get in. Before you do that BE WARNED this removes not only your lockscreen but your power button menu as well(you know, when you hold the power button to restart and boot into recovery). Instead it just powers your phone off, you can always re-enable your lockscreen very easily using the same guide so there's nothing to fear. This app has TONS of customization and is far superior to the zero customization the AOSP/stock locks have. I'd say the only issue this app has is the fact that you can't go to silent/sound like you can with the AOSP. Added picture(s).
Screenshot/Screen Capture: ShootMe(free, thanks blarrick & anoninja118!) - I prefer this over the stock screen capture service(Hold back key, then press home) it's slow at times, doesn't always take the picture and holding the back key causes me to actually go back in many apps(Dolpin HD and Handcent for example). I still do use the stock service but if back is causing problems I use ShootMe. Added picture(s).
Image Viewer/Gallery: QuickPic(free, thanks Jmjohnson1717!) - MUCH better image viewer over the stock app, the stock app is just too cluttered and not organized well. I like the options this one has and I can't thank you enough Jmjohnson1717, seriously... that stock app is horrible. Added picture(s).
Tethering: Barnacle Wifi Tether(free), A WiFi Tether AP Mesh Client(AKA OpenGarden, free), Wireless Tether for Root Users(free, not available on the Android Market. Download from here http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/ ), PdaNet(free), EasyTether($10) - Barnacle, OpenGarden and WT4RUsers are all very simple wireless tethering apps. They are free and just require you to click one button and it will show up as a wireless network named AndroidTether or something similar. PdaNet and EasyTether are both wired tethering apps(in-case you don't have the option to connect to a wireless network). If you are going to choose a wired tethering app go with PdaNet because it's free. Added picture(s) of OpenGarden(all the wireless tethering apps look the same).
Scripts/Mods/.zips: V6 SuperCharger(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276), Loopy Smoothness Tweak(apply SuperCharger before this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1205744), modded camera.apk(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144885), if you're on Eclipse you should flash all the included .zip files you feel are necessary(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144015) - V6 SuperCharger basically gets rid of your hanging home screen(When your home screen shows up blank after clearing RAM or closing an app that consumes high RAM). Loopy Smoothness Tweak basically just eliminates lag and choppiness on plenty of applications. Modded camera.apk just causes your power button to act as a shutter when you have the stock Camera app open, doesn't work for other apps like Fast Burst, just stock unfortunately. Eclipse flashable .zips are basically just apps/mods that Nitro thought some people would want and some people wouldn't, so he gave you the option to either flash or not flash. I chose to flash everything except VVM, stock gps config and puzzle unlock.
Other: Voodoo Control(free & paid version, thanks kvswim!), CPU Spy(free, thanks anoninja118!), FasterFix(free) - Voodoo Control allows you to control Voodoo lagfix/Voodoo Sound to customize your sound settings(among other things). "This(CPU Spy) is a simple app to display the time the CPU spends in each frequency state. This can be a useful tool in diagnosing battery problems or tweaking your over-clock settings." Quoted from the CPU Spy app on the Android Market because I'm too damn lazy to type anything else out :] Fasterfix is a VERY simple but incredibly useful app, it basically makes your GPS lock on much faster, when I'm inside my house GPS locks on in about 2 seconds, just open the app and choose the server closest to you. Added picture(s) of Voodoo Control Plus(paid version) and FasterFix.
Voodoo Control Plus:
FasterFix:
That's pretty much everything I needed to do before this phone was perfect, might not have been the most useful guide but I just wanted to share everything I needed to do with my Charge. Now I'm not saying to do this exactly since everyone has different tastes but just use this as a reference. There are some cool apps you may not have known about and there is some info you may not have known about. Don't click that thanks button unless you actually feel this thread deserves it, peace :]
You forgot Voodoo Control. I line out to my car. I listen to techno, and I like my bass cranked and the volume amped. This is absolutely necessary for anyone who likes their music to go loud and hard. Especially high school teenagers like me Also you can control voodoo lagfix from the app.
Also, I recommend MoboPlayer as a video player, it has a lot more file support than the stock player.
Sent from my Droid Charge running GummyFroyo 1.9.1
I'll have to check that out, I use Freemake Video Converter(possibly the BEST converter of all time) and just convert it to Android format so stock works fine for me, and btw PowerAMP(the music player) allows you to modify your bass and, well, pretty much everything. I like a lot of bass too and PowerAMP does just that
Voodoo Control modifies the audio hardware directly.
Sent from my Droid Charge running GummyFroyo 1.9.1
Yea I have Voodoo Control Plus :] I'll be sure to add it to the list, I just prefer poweramp, it gives you a nice UI like you're in a recording studio. It also allows you to save your presets and assign them to certain songs and all this crap. I love both apps
edit: Do you know why Mobo isn't recognizing all my videos? I direct it to the folder and after it hits a certain video it will just stock scanning and only show a few videos. Not sure what the problem is but that's the only thing annoying me about this app, everything else seems great.
If you do a lot of "newspaper" reading I would suggest that you give US Newspapers a try. it is a free app and it lists something like 30 newspapers and sports sites. You can also add your favorite sites as well.
Is their an app to turn my charge into a sgs2? Now that would be a perfect phone!
How bout how to do this on a mac? I know you can use heimdall but as far as step by step I'm lost.

Wondering about 2b.. the SD card fix. I've yet to have to flash this to have my mass storage work properly. I'm running the latest PBJ Voodoo kernel, and am on the debloated rom with a few minor tweaks of my own. I just double checked and I can read from and write to my SD card when connected to my PC just fine. Is it only necessary when running certain roms?
Edit: I suppose it is possible that I flashed the fix way back when I rooted my DC, but I really don't remember doing that. I do have the fix on my SD card though, so I guess it is a possibility that I did flash it and don't remember doing it.

See the thing is it doesn't always happen, if you didn't flash it I would still recommend it. If it breaks later you will have to go out and buy a usb reader for your sd card to fix it
Beamed from my Droid Charge using the XDA premium app
This is a great idea for the newer Android users. The only thing I would add is that a custom launcher is very important (ADW/Go Launcher Ex/LauncherPro Plus)>
Also, I think GoSMS has surpassed Handcent in the SMS category.
Mass storage break
This is crazy! I never even heard about this SD card break before you mentioned it. Are the dev's working on implementing this into their roms?

Haven't heard any talk about it. Not really sure what causes it but the guide I followed to rooting this phone told me to flash the SD card fix. I see plenty of threads on this forum about how their phone is only reading as a disk drive and it's always because they didn't flash it.
edit: Just a side note, if anyone could suggest a better picture viewer/gallery over the stock one I would add it to the main post & give you credit, currently I can't stand the crappy stock Gallery :] Thanks.
I've begun adding pictures to the thread. I'm still in the process of getting pictures for all the apps, just sit back
Also, if you have any apps you think should be added to the main thread just drop a reply with the name and the reason why, I'll be sure to give you credit :]

sweet lol and CPU Spy and Terminal Emulator should be added as well, both free... perhaps LTE Switch too, its not a toggle but takes you directly to the option to switch between 4G LTE and 3G/1X only CDMA (for those too lazy to navigate through menus like myself lol)

Added CPU Spy because it seems like a pretty useful app, didn't add Terminal because I honestly can't see a real use for it. I think you can type su in it to check if you have root but aside from that I don't see the point
I won't add LTE Switch because there were a lot of complaints that the app can break your LTE and force a factory reset to fix it, I never bothered downloading it after seeing all the complaints. Sorry!

What would you like to see implemented in CM10?

So, now that CM9 is stable, and CM10 is under development, what are you hoping the developers merge?
Personally, I have a few changes I'd like to see.
One, I'd like Apollo to be replaced, or repaired. No landscape support, a white-holo theme that doesn't fit with the black-holo stock ICS/JB look, and downloading album art from a data connection rather than using the embedded album art...all in all, I hate Apollo music, and I think many would agree that it is an inferior music player. At the very least, allow a setting to use the embedded art, and give it a black, rather than white, UI.
I'd like the lockscreen on phones to be enabled for landscape, and for tablet lockscreens to be enabled for portrait, and to either respond to the orientation settings, or the auto-rotate setting. So far, the lockscreen orientation is not well implemented. I know it is capable of using landscape, because in CM9, I disabled auto-rotate with the notification bar toggle, while in landscape, and was able to use a landscape lockscreen, so it's there. It just needs to be enabled.
Better unity between the Cyanogen tweaks and stock android. For example, the power toggles in the notification tray, and the power widget. The backlight setting is a good example - in the notification tray, it's dim, 25, 50, 75, 100, auto. In the widget, it's dim, 40, 100, auto. I'd like to see the widget either use 50 as the midpoint, or the notification tray to use increments of 20, rather than 25, so that it has 40 as a midpoint. Or better yet, make both the widget and pulldown toggles exactly the same - make the widget use 25% increments, or the notification bar use the stock settings. The backlight is only one example, but I think there are a few easy tweaks that would make it feel more "unified." Even the wallpaper menus - if you look at the menu for choosing the Cyanogenmod wallpapers, it has a slightly different UI than the menu for stock wallpapers. If you add the static menu button to the navigation bar, it is visually different from the "normal" menu button that shows when apps need it, even though it serves the same purpose. I'd like to see CM integrate cleanly with what remains of stock Android.
I'm not completely sure if this one is possible, because I don't think the GPU uses a governor like the CPU, but rather a set clock-rate, but if possible, I'd like to see the ability to set the GPU in the performance settings.
Ringtones. So far, to enable a song as a ringtone, you need to use Apollo. So, for people who removed it for another music player, or kangs that don't have it, they can't set a song as a ringtone. Also, once you pick a song as a ringtone, it stays in your ringtones menu, so after a while, it gets cluttered. I think a cleaner implementation of ringtones is in order. Rather than implementing the song as a ringtone, once you choose a song, it should gray out the default ringtones, and use the song. Something like "enable custom ringtone" checkbox, and once checked, it gives you a file browser to pick a song, and grays out the stock ringtones, or something along those lines. This would allow people who don't use Apollo to set a song as a ringtone, and would prevent clutter in the ringtone list.
The Galaxy S3 has a feature that allows the phone to stay awake while you are using it. Rather than timing out if it detects no input, it will use the front camera with face detection to see if you are still looking at the phone, and if you are, stay awake. This would be nice to put into the settings.
And lastly...a file browser. CM7 had one, so I don't get why they would take a step back and remove it from CM9. It's not hard to get one, but it would be nice to see integrated.
And yes, I know Steve Kondik won't read this. But, where CM is a community ROM and anyone can submit code, I think this would be a good place for users to submit ideas and feedback, while being exposed to developers. I'm willing to bet if the community submits ideas that the developers like, it can greatly increase the quality of Cyanogenmod, which is already the best out there, making it perfect.

The lock screen portrait for tablets and vice verse is weird an uncomfortable. For music, god get Google play music or a new Apollo theme its not so hard. The only GPU all that does good is chain fire 3d, which is incompatible with jellybean. Ringtones can be implemented without Apollo. The stocky feeling is still there. The Ui can't be completely the same as stock. And for a file browser, devs are already including oi file explorer in jellybean and if not, DOWNLOAD IT. DON'T BE LAZY. And suggest these to your phone devs, not here. As I am already running a non alpha stable release of jellybean on my phone, there are many things you can do to fix these yourself.

You don't need to use a music player to set ring tones, I have custom ring tones for phone, messaging, all three of my Email accounts. All set without using a music player.

i would like to have two diefferent volume controls for media
one for the normal phone speaker(s)
and one control for headsets, etc.
another feature i would like to have is:
app folders in the app drawer of trebuchet (not only on home screen) (couldn´t find an option to enable it yet, if there is one)

For the speaker stuff, why? Its useless. But the app folders in the drawers seem like a good idea.

i know there is a control to set the volume down if the volume is very loud and you switch to your headset to take care of your ears
but it doesn´t turn the volume down before switching to the headset so the music could be loud for 1 or a half second
and it is good if you want to hear music with another volume on phone speakers then headset
the feature is not to important but i hope that they could fix it, that the volume changes after switching
Hi if these can happen in cm10 it would be fantastic..
1. Sounds of call and music can be played through different speakers ie headset, Bluetooth or speakers separately.
2. Two or more media players able to play on different speakers.
3. We can mix call and music so the person other side of call can here music also..
4. We can record audio from different source like Mic,call,FM or music separatly at same time
5. There should be a mixture interface from which inputs and output can be controlled independently..

good ideas, but do your really want to hear music while calling someone
and i don´t know if this is realizable (don´t you need more than one sound card to do this or something like that?)
good 8mp camera please
more elaborate volume controls
more governors and io schedulers and a touch recovery would also be great

Most jellybean ROMs are getting those cherry picked So they are already there for most phones.

Music during call mean low volume background music. Although it is possible to play MP3 on poweramp and videos on Mx during call but the other side party only hear Mic input..

How about separate volume controls per program? Using A2DP with the cars stock stereo works amazingly well for almost everything. Phone calls and music are fine, but navigation is almost impossible to hear and alerts are deafening. It would nice to be able to adjust the volume of just Google maps versus the rest of the programs, for example.
I actually like Apollo, just wish it rotated.
As for a complete longshot: Maybe a better car dock? I don't know how many people use car docks, but they're almost all terrible and completely unintegrated with the programs. The dock's I've tried just launch the music, podcast or maps program...I could do that with the stock launcher. Also, with the phone in dock mode it's hard to hit the buttons. The touch interface is expecting a decisive press or swipe, but that's difficult when the phone is at a fixed point (on the windshield, for example) and you're finger is hovering around it...hitting bumps and whatnot.
Better gesture actions. Some very cool stuff is offered out of the box by the Samsung SIII and incorporating that into CM10 would be great.
Selfishly, I'd love to see support for popular older phones (Droid Inc) but I see why they are dropping support for older phones - you have to keep the new shiny phones working before you bother with the old ones....
a few thoughts

This one I especially would like to see, too. Its the one and only feature I miss from stock Samsung, and the replacement apps available in play store are, well, not perfect to say the least. Despite this, face awake is certainly a feature that should be included in the ROM (assuming of course it is wanted - but as you point out, its a wish thread :fingers-crossed.
Regarding Apollo, my two cents are that it should probably be split off from CM development entirely. Not sure what the rest is thinking, but personally I don't use it anyway, and giving it to a dedicated team might help getting some load off CM development after all its "only" a music player. Again, just my personal view from a complete naive outside point of view.
File Browser - I'm actually undecided. Personally, for example, I use a replacement anyway. But on the other hand its a basic component of Android OS, so it also has some logic to keep a rather simple one as fallback option in case of problems.
I disagree a bit with the performance tweaks. For sake of release stability I'd actually keep them out completely, since users really knowing what they do in these advanced options can easily use community build kernels optimized for this. Same argument as above: keep CM focused (and avoid unnecessary bug reports, too) and leave the luxury-addons to dedicated teams. Use the strength of the community :highfive:
And, last not least, also my thanks to all people involved in CM development. It is outstanding work, providing us with a competitive alternative and a great example of community-driven development Keep going! :good:
The pop up text that CM recently implanted in source I think, for every cm10 rom
this right here......is my.. pretty boy swag!
I'd love to see more integration with JB UI, list mode rather than this tiles in 'artist section' - i think all of those should look the same. Also music controls on lockscreen - I'd really love to have that sony's solution - when u see lockscreen you just swipe clock for music controls, swipe back to see clock - it's lighter, more elegant and u don't always unlock your phone to change music, the current look is a shame. I hope apollo won't be forgotten cuz currently it stands out comparing to rest of the software : C
