one.click.root.exploitv2.3.0.zip is this a JoeyKrim exploit and if so where can i find out the method to root without the JoeyKrim and/or remove it
i dont mind helping out, but this is all over the place if you search it. to get root without joeykrim exploit you need to flash a rooted kernel (kernel root is true root) through clockwork.
you can manually remove this root but the one click thread even has a one click uninstaller at the bottom of the OP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=770388 just below the change log.

How can I know my phoone is root or unroot? After I root my phone, what should I do next? I am newbie to Android. Please help me.
GET RID OF BLOAT IF YOU HAVE ANY! DID U GET SUPERUSER PERMISSION WHEN YOU ROOTED? TRY SOME ROOT APPS IN THE MARKET . WHAT KIND OF PHONE IS IT?
Yes.My phone is sony x 8 and I root with superoneclick but I can't see superuser
in menu.How can I do?
i blve there is a app in the market that will check for root but im not sure of the name! i use superoneclick also and it showed up in the app drawer after reboot
download terminal emulator.
then open the app and type: SU
if u get asked for root permission, allow it.
then u should have a # instead of a $ in the terminal, if thats all the case, u are rooted, if not, the root failed
You can download root checker from the market, it will tell you if you're rooted and if busybox is installed. Superuser should be in your app drawer if you are rooted.
But why would you root if you don't know what it does, the benefits of rooting, and what you hope to get from rooting?
Educate yourself. Read the forums and anything you can find before making any system changes. Then, when you're comfortable, flash a rom.
I use Z4Root on mine. Allows perm root as well as temporary root if needed.

Hi,
I have my Transformer on 3.2, and it's rooted.
I'm trying to get Netflix patched, and it looks like I should use Clockworkmod to install that patch from my micro-SD card.
I've found a way to update CWM on a different forum.
How do I get it installed initially?
I tried using Rom Update, but it doesn't list the Transformer as an option.
Is there another way to flash zip files on 3.2?
Thanks!
Which method did you use to root the TF with? Usually an option to push CWM to the tablet after the rooting procedure.
If you're rooted, another option is to use Root Explorer or any file manager that have root access.
You can move the patch to /system/lib/
I used Brk's Rootkit Script.
It had the option to root, Install SU, and install Busybox.
Now that I know the correct path is /system/lib, I'll do it manually. Thanks!
I see that you use the Prime mod. It sounds like that might be more feature rich... maybe I'll look into it.

It doesn't sound like your root method was successful. If you were successful it looks like it would install their version of SU for you. http://www.kingoapp.com/faq.htm I'm not a fan of "one click root" (No one here is) I would suggest that you learn ADB to get proper root access. I would be concerned that you have now gained root access (which makes your device vulnerable) and are having to install their version of SU. That seems way too risky to me.
I get temp-root with Kingroot(locked bootlader). In some devices you can then install BusyBox, not my case because I don't have write permissions in /system.
If I install it in custom paths I've tried, it isn't detected.
Any ideas?

You cant install busybox without system write permissions and writting in any other location ( example. system/bin or system/xbin ) also requires write access
try magisk for rooting and what is temporary root, kingroot dont give temporary roots although it sometimes gives bootloops:silly::laugh:

The thing is that I would want to do that with locked bootloader (I know it's possible in some devices).
I don't know exactly what Kingroot does, but it allows me to give root permissions to the apps that request it and everything seems to work except writting in system partition. When I reboot, that "root" disappear, that´s what I thought was called temporary-root.
However, I can write in directories like "/","/storage", but if I install BusyBox there, apps that require it seem unable to detect it.
Unlocked bootloader. Installed twrp successfully. Flashed majisk successfully yet busybox will not install and root checker reports root not obtained... Huh?
Is this because root checker and busybox look for supersu to be in a certain place and when they can't find it they report no root?
If majisk is essentially root then why does it fail the checks? I am able to install and use apps that require root... What gives? (Sorry for being dumb)

IDK about the root situation, but the way I usually install busybox on the pixel is goto the play store and search busybox and pick the one by meefik. Then open it and change the install location from system/xbin to just system/bin (so remove the x)

This is the best BusyBox installer in my opinion.
From this thread. Works for system or systemless installations.
Flash in TWRP.
