Apps you're dying to have?

I was wondering what upcoming announced (and a bit unannounced) apps you guys are looking forward to have?
For me all I care about right now is:
Trillian for Android
WhatsApp for Android
and hopefully a real Windows Live Messenger app. One that allow file transfers like on WinMo/BB and I can atleast change my avatar.

MyBackup Pro does that, I think.

A real WLM app would be godlike.
Trillian.
Skype usable on Wifi and 3G on any network.
Some more games.

Is it too much to ask for a proper port for angry birds on the Android? Doodle Jump's port was hilariously bad.

i would like an app. that will cut off my data usage @ 1.5gb...and yet let me to use as much as i want, im sick of watching that i dont go over 2gb,,att really is part of the nwo...meaning data sent to att is 1 or 1.5 gb,,but never goes over 2gb,,,i guess i want to screw them like they screw allllll new smartphone owners

Patapon -like Game in Android ?

I dont have a PSP but way back this is one of the reasons I so wanted to buy a PSP..
Its sorta' rythm game where you must immitate the sound by tapping corresponding keys- when you do it successfully it makes your little characters do something to move on in the level you are in.. (err sorry for my very vague explanation)..
but im sure the official patapon website or even youtube would help explain it better..
I think the developers of Patapon is Sony themselves, right? si i dont think theres any chance to have Patapon to Android- but at least something similar?

Id enjoy this too.. Wondering if they will officially try to get these games ported over. It would work out fine I think.

Btw unrelated.. but thought I should point it out case they take it off soon... PSN has Patapon 1, 2, and 3 bundle for 15$ right now on sale. All 3 and best part.. it works on PS Vita now.

it seem like it would be possible ... they have emulators for almost everything else... why cant droids dual boot or run iphone os?

It should be possible but there is not enough interest. If we compare with WINE and VMWARE there is an interest because many business applications require Windows, it is not really the same here. If you find like 10-30 skilled programmers with great knowledge of ARM architecture it might be possible, remember that some people managed to emulate PPC on a X86 like 5 years ago so crazier things has happened in the past.

well someone should do it asap.. there is some iphone apps i want that android does not have.

Heh, i think it's easier to make the apps then a freakin' emulator. You can start with contacting the devs of the apps you would like to have, and see if they're planing to release them on Android.

here are my toughts about the next nexus device
isn't it weird google is naming there store play and there where some rumors that Android 5.0 will be gaming optimized.
so i think the next nexus device is a Playstation i have seen a pattern in the realeses of Playstations and if the will hold the pattern this year there will be a new release
Playstation:1994
Playstation 2 : 2000
playstation 3 :2006
Playstation Nexus ; 2012?!
but if it isn't going to be a nexus it still is a nice idea the google tv experience with the gaming of a playstation. PSN is crashing to much and what if the make it and say all the games you buy for the Playstation you will automaticly get a mobile version of the game for on the go.
it is even logic;
Microsoft has a desktop, gaming and mobile os
Apple has a Desktop Tv and mobile os
Google can get desktop gaming mobile and tv os

Dood ...... no offence but did you use your own crystal ball to work all this out, or did you just go direct to the font of all knowledge and channel Steve Jobs and ask his opinion. (jking)
I believe HTC went for the channelling option when then need advice specing the new range of handsets ....... so you would have company on the astral plane.
Do you have any actual evidence ........ even spurious or circumstantial to support this idea??

no fanboy or something maybe my idea's are a bit crazy but think about the idea it would be the best device ever and the pattern every 6 years a new playstation. and i think HTC again for a nexus device let LG/Sony/Motorola once time make it ... ( and maybe i am just stoned)

Sony just released a new psp, I doubt this would ever happen. There is a chance we will see a new playstation console soon but that has nothing to do with android.

You can pretty much guarantee that it won't be a Playstation branded device. Nexus devices are always about the pure-Android ICS: no branding, no themeing, no crap-ware.

No, nothing that can "emulate" Android but, a Windows Mobile loader is in the works for Wp7...(you could run WM 6.1+ apps/games on WP7)

Dont get me wrong, if we could run Android games on our phones as an emulator, I would not mind it at all. There are a few titles on there that I was thinking about grabbing a used Android device just to play a few games (a year old model that COULD run ICS after rooting, I can get under $100).
There are a great selection of games for WM6 and if they can run at full speed, it could be impressive.
So I am fine with both....
