Hi all,
Is there any facebook widget which loads one single user updates etc.. So each time I click on it it views the chosen facebook user updates? Also notify if there is any new updates
Just use the RSS feed for that contact (builtin FB function, look for that) in any RSS reader.
Where is the "ME" Profile stored and how is it linked?
On gingerbread, I ended up having a contact slot filled by myself with all my information that helped fill out my GCHAT contact info and was linked to my G+ account.. ICS now adds a "ME" contact that acts as my personal profile. This contact doesnt seem to link to G+ and doesnt transfer back to google contacts. So my question is where is this stored and how can i get it to link back to G+?
bueller ... bueller
lol
go to contacts and at the top of the screen there will be an option to set up your "me" profile...
they are asking where the info is pulled from. Is it synched from somewhere..

Any new noticie about this?
I´m trying to understand this issue. If I create a new contact with my google+ email "me contact" sync with the new data but don`t erase old data...
This 'ME' account is very annoying.
It doesn't sync with anything.
It isn't attached in any way to the google account the phone is registered to!
You can't join it to your actual active contact with your accounts, and you can't delete it!
You can't avoid using it if you want an avatar for yourself in your SMS messages I want that to come from my google or FB accounts on sync!

Fixed, installed Google+ it syncs everything from that immediately.
Removed the other contact with my name.
Sorry for resurrect this very old thread but I have a question, I really hate this "Me" contact, because I cannot join it with other accounts such as Last.fm or Whatsapp, I did try to delete it and create a new contact for myself but it didn't link it to my G+ stuff, Is there any way to join this "me" contact with other services accounts?
I'm trying to solve this for weeks now and there is no information about it.

It's purely linked to your G+ if you sign out or disable of G+ on your mobile, your Me details will vanish apart from the items you manually input.
Utterly useless and very annoying.
To clarify, I've had a contact in my gmail account for years with all of my personal information, but this is entirely separate from the info in G+ profile and therefore cannot be linked to the "ME" contact? The ME contact only syncs with the G+ account? So if I put my personal information in Google+ as opposed to having a gmail contact, if I am not logged in or synced with G+ my personal information won't be on the phone?
I looked in accounts and there seems to be a distinction between google (gmail) contacts and google+ contacts.
Thanks.
Hey guys, I recently came up with an idea for a new app I will call "Socialize" and I wanted some feedback on it. I am currently working on it and will have a preview of my progress up within a few weeks. It won't have that many features, as my first priority is Twitter support, and the first preview will probably only have the ability to login and post a tweet.
What is Socialize?
Socialize is a new way to manage all your social 'stuff' from one place. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+ will be the first supported networks. Chat support will probably be added in later.
Isn't there already and app that does the same thing/has the same name?
No. I spent about an hour a week ago searching for such an app and didn't find one. There is also no app with the name "Socialize."
So yeah guys, leave your thoughts below, if you have any recommendations, leave a reply! No stealing my idea either, I have a copyright.

I thought google+ was only supported through the offical app. And how did you copyright the idea of a social media all-in-one app?
sounds cool! i'd use it if the design follows the ics design standard
dont really like the official facebook app

Well of course
I like the idea, but it isn't the first. Socialscope does the same thing for Instagarm, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare. Hootsuite does it for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Foursquare.

I'll have to see if I can think of any features that are unique then.
Let me start off by saying I do not do social media at all, including Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. I know there is a way to automatically backup photos to a Google+ account but I do not want that. I want to be able to automatically upload pictures from my Nexus 5 to my Picasa account. Is this possible? If so, could someone tell me how?
Thanks!

Picasa and Google+ Photos are now merged.

So would I have to have a Google+ profile in order to do this? I really don't want to do that.
Yes, but if you're currently using Picasa Web Albums you've given Google all the information they need for a G+ profile. All you need is a name and e-mail address, you don't need to put any other information on there and the profile defaults to everything being private.
Just keep in mind that Picasa Web Albums is really just a legacy way to access it and everything is being stored through Google+ now. If you're not happy about Google+ I would recommend switching to a different storage option like MyShoebox, Adobe Revel, Flickr, etc...
I WAS using LiveMail for a while until Android Oreo came out and Livemail just outright refused to work. I'm dying for an update on the app but it doesn't seem like it'll be getting one anytime soon it seems as the developers won't comment on the request for an update on the multiple reviews making note of the fact it doesn't work on Android 8.0 yet. Usually, when someone makes such a comment in their reviews developers will respond to it but they won't it seems.
So I'm looking hard for a new email app to replace LiveMail that works like Gmail or even Inbox if possible but for other email services like Yahoo, AOL, Yandex, etc. an email app that automatically categorizes your emails based on the content. Now I know you might say "Gmail can do that for your third-party email services" and while that's technically true it requires you to link them to your Gmail accounts, of which I only have a few, I can't randomly create new Gmail accounts just to categorize my other emails inboxes. If INBOX had support for third-party emails and without the need to link said emails to a Gmail account I'd be all for it. but sadly it doesn't.
Does anyone have a recommendation? even if it's an app that must be bought I'll take a look at it.
