[Q] [urgent] Best Android phone in market? - General Topics

Hi guys,
This is Rishab Harjai from India and this is my first post/thread in this forum
First of all, I am really sorry for creating a topic like this ; but I am really very confused!!
I am planning to buy a new cell phone for a price range of less than 650$ [ Rs. 30000 INR ].
Basically, I want an Android phone.
I am looking for a cell-phone on which :-
1] Sound output is great
2] I can play some nice games, [I had a corby pro b5310 and I am tired of java games :X]
3] I can have some really nice apps, [sure android has it! ]
4] I can watch movies,
I personally liked Samsung Galaxy S, but I want to know if there are some better options!!

Sound Ouput, Games, and Movies sound like Galaxy S to me.

Nice to hear that
Waiting for other users advice.
EDIT: Also I wanted to ask hows the battery life of Samsung galaxy s i9000 ?
I read in a couple of blogs that it's extremely crappy and lasts only for 7 hrs or something, is it true? :O

Thank you guys. I will search about your suggestions. I'll hit thanks one by one for you guys.
Im with them S2 or Note
do you mean 6,000 pesos?..hmmmm samsung galaxy y is best for your budget.. you can also try acer...i forgot the model just search it on internet... it's cheaper than samsung galaxy y
I would definately choose for the SGS2!
It has a great developement section, so you can always upgrade using ROMs!
I think it is above your budget, but it gives you the highest price/quality ratio.
It has an 8 MP camera with LED flash.
Even after 7pm today, the new Galaxy is being shown, the SGS3 so the price of the SGS2 will fall by the appearing of his new brother
People expect the SGS3 will be in stores in approx. 7 days, so I should then watch the price of the SGS2!

i wish that s2 may have another brother like s4, 5, 6 and 7. So that SGS2 would go down to Php 6000 haha. Coz i want it.
Being on a tight budget, I would even recommend that you go for the Samsung Galaxy S Plus.
As I've had it for some time, I can assure you that it performs really well with the right ROM and tweaks.
Also, it currently has almost fully-working builds of CM7 and CM9, and you can expect a lot of other custom ROMs, although there were some issues in development.
sgs2 it's so popular and supported
I don't think you'll get a Galaxy Note or a Samsung Galaxy S2 for under 6000 Philippine pesos.

Xperia U or Galaxy S Advance ?

Hi
I got some questilom as Iphone user I dont know anything about android. Started to learn something 2 days ago
Going to buy a new phone but cant decide.
I hate big screens and stuffs like that so my decision is down to :
Xperia U
Galaxy S Advance
Ace2 ( cant cause still waiting to hit italy market )
On this forum they spoke very good of Xperia U vs Ace2.
Anyway, the list of question is long :-D
1 ) A friend of mine told me that every phone that isnt from google sucks cause of lack of fast support and upgrades of android that takes months while google its out asap.
Those 2 phones are okay ?
2 ) What u would suggest between xperia U and Galaxy S Advance, and reasons. Its worth 140 euro more cost the Galaxy S Advance ?
3 ) Both can be upgrade easily to Android 4.0 or I need to be skilled in that ?
4 ) About hacking stuffs etc those phones are good and supported by comunity ? Cause cant find any forum for them and makes me scared
thanks a lot for your time, i hope to be an active part of this comunity soon
any feeedback pls ? gotta buy 1 soon
Galaxy S Advance over Xperia U:
• 768 MB RAM
• Slimmer
• Support SD card
• 4" TFT Super AMOLED
• Bluetooth v3.0
• Gorilla Glass display
Xperia U over Galaxy S Advance:
• Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine
• Sony 3D surround sound audio technology
• USB On-the-go support
Better Samsung Galaxy S Advance.
thanks a lot for the reply, but those points I got them also from reviews online.
I'm more interested in other questions .

1. I think those 2 phone are okay.
2. Sony planned upgrade to v4.0 for Xperia U. No info about Galaxy S Advance, but you should wait for custom ROM.
3. I think Galaxy S Advance will soon supported by comunity. Not sure about Xperia U.
ouch so if I buy it tomorrow I have a phone with gingerbread still on , till a future upgrade -.-
Take a look at xperia Sola and P too. Those are similar in price to Advance (I'm not sure, we don't have Advance in market yet) and are better spec-wise than Xperia U. And none of them are huge, Xperia P is 4" like Advance, more RAM, better camera but worse display (I think, Advance is Super AMOLED while P is TFT, but I'm not sure how noticeable it actually is in person. Some people say P is actually better.), Advance has better replaceable battery and SD card slot.
I have no idea how the support from moders will look. I'm thinking about Advance too, but it's not top of the line phone, merely an upgrade to Galaxy S and as such it might not get any custom ROMs whatsoever. Or it might.
well i gone to the mall and saw they havent xperia U but advanced galaxy S its at 339 while Samsung nexus galaxy its at 399
I think gonna take the nexus then, seems so much better
Yes, for this price, you should get the nexus i guess.

New phone or Tab-Suggest me NON biased means!

Hi everyone..
Been with smartphones pretty long and lasty Im using Galaxy S2.
For several reasons I want to change it or possibly upgrade. First is My eye has an issue followed up that my tears do not generate fast to refresh the eyes, so i gotta leave my work on pc for long , and for that alternatives are mobile for internet etc. and 2ndly im a big tired of the galaxy series for deisgn and everything else.
What I need it to be uses is:
Cool Music Support, since im a pro musician
Internet support
Often camera usage
Few vdo
Few gaming
and good speed
modding aspects
Moderate battery probable is full 1 day.
I was checking on the recent phones, I was always with ericsson before...and I found:
xperia s,Acro S,Xperia SL and the new upcoming T, also the ION.
ION and Xperia SL seems to be very low moding aspects?
Also the HTC one x and x+ but they seem to have battery issues?
And The Lg optimus 4x hd
I was also taking a look for tabs, specially the samsung tab 2 both 7 and 10 inches, but the processors seem to be a low ?
My budget is about 550 usd...
Please give me your valauable suggestions in general i have been chking all of them about 1 month gotta decide and get one by tomorrow.
Thanks all!

[Q] Thinking of buying Samsung Galaxy S Duos tommorrow. Should I or not?

Dear members,
I am new to android world.(never used an android handset so far) I am thinking of buying Samsung Galaxy S duos. My budget is 17-19k. Looking for an ICS device with WVGA resolution and best possible connectivity. Samsung Galaxy S advance is the other handset in my mind. But S duos looks fresh. I use mobile for facebook, little email and music. I dont play games on mobile phones (neither on PC ) S duos is available at 16.5k & SGS advance at 19.5 k in my city (Mangalore). Which one should I buy?
Let me add one more thing, I dont need dual sim function. But S duos is a new model & an affordable ICS offering from Samsung. So going for S duos. Ur thoughts pls.
You should just get the Galaxy Pocket, Cheaper and much better.

[Q] New phone: S3 or Lumia 920 ?

Hi, i am new in this forum and i have a question, i want to buy a new smartphone. I have a galaxy core right now, so should i make the change to windows phone ? Or should i keep using android ? Thanks ! Also i want the phone for games and i want fluidity !
Gs3 for games as the market has a lot more than the windows app store. Both will be smooth. It just depends on which is you like go in and play with both phones at a phone retailer and see which one you like.
