looking for a good cal widget. Love the htc sense one but im using launcher pro. so cant use it anymore, like the LP cal widget but a little big.
tried smooth calendar. its ok, but looking for other options
any other suggestions.
Pure Grid calendar widget
very customizable, size, tons of themes, and when you click it, it takes you too your google calender ect.. i use it.
its only like $2 in the market, make sure its the grid one, not just the one that says calender.
wow awesome app just what I needed looks amazing

calendarpad.... for the win
Jorte works great for me.
I just use Android Agenda Widget or CalWidget. But those are agendas, not calendars. :/
Pure Grid Calendar here too, can't beat a transparent background over your custom wallpapers. (Using their messenger with transparency too). It's great using LauncherProPlus & set columns & rows to 7x7 with the calendar widget set to 4x3 with 4 weeks display and resized to share the same screen with more widgets as well.
cheers

Android agenda widget. I think I've tried everything else but keep coming back to this. Very easy on the eyes and free!
I use the Pure Calendar Widget and Jorte itself for scheduling appointments. They both have great customization.

This is what android should have had in the first place.
Using Pure Grid as well. Looks great in Launcher Pro.
For a 1x4 agenda view widget that show your next 3 calendar events use Smooth Calendar widget. Free in Market.
It also shows today's date as the main icon (like iCal on Mac)

Here are 2 apps that I love on my Nexus that also work on the Evo. Just install with an app like Astro from the SD card.
Download the Genie Widget here
Download the Launcher2 here
Launcher2 is already built into the EVO at launch.
so what is the genie widget?
The Genie Widget is the News & Weather application/widget that's originally for the nexus one. I really like it.

Or search google and find out how to disable sense UI then when you hit home it asks you which you'd like to use. But I'll point out that if he is pulling Launcher 2 from CM then it may do the 5 wide plus it had some fixes.
I too like the genie widget but is there ANY way to configure the way the widget looks? I'd really just like to make the background solid black and all the text white. Is this possible? Or make the background transparent and the text black. Either would be great.
My evo didn't come with genie widget. It did come with that news/rss reader that is very similar though. But I like the weather in genie widget a lot more because you are really only one click away from radar and can actually see details about the forecast from within the app. The one that comes with the clock kind of sucks. Just tells the highs and lows but with the genie widget weather you can see what time its going to start raining and stuff like that.

Do you still have this. i have a version of Launcher2 but it's the cube app drawer type and the ADW looking home screen dock. I prefer the older style and i'm wondering if this is indeed what im looking for.
Thanks
Having an HD2, I simply loved what Cookie has down with the look and feel of the UI, my only problem is the phone just sucked, lol. Ok, that was too much, my bad you HD2 owners browsing, but I really like how Cookie made a smaller version of the clock/weather widget for the homescreen. Here is a pic, outlined in red of course lol.

Also, another cool touch was the clock would flip to a new time, here is a video

I even notice some guy with an iPhone hacked Sense UI with a working flip clock, lol:

I think Home++ does this, not for sure, anyway to extract just the time/weather widget from it?
Here is some pics of Home++ clock/widget
Please does anybody know how to get these 2 working on Android?
Unsure of the name of that program , but you can test out :
I find it almost like the HTC Clock only smaller.
YR.no Widget

Thanks.
Tried it, ran very slow on my Evo, it was a nightmare so I deleted it.
:/

Fancy doesn't have a smaller clock, just the large one.
Beautiful Widgets has the smaller home.
beautifual widgets does the job for me
beautiful widgets doesnt have the white flipclock like HTC , only a dark one that doesnt look veyr good
Fancy Widget looks amazing, just liek the real deal, but I have a problem where the time sometimes gets stuck and you have to refresh it manually
Thanks, I will try it out

I doubt it since minimalistic text won't let you move things around and there is no divider
simi clock? Or make your clock widget?

I want to say minimalistic text. And there's a screenshot on the market that does have a divider in it.
And the app added option to add fonts

No, here is why..minimastic text won't let you move things around i.e hours, minutes, months..etc just like "Make Your Own Clock" widget..I have already tried making my clock to look just like that using minimastic text and i cant seem to manage to get it just like that
hi, You can use Ultimate Custom Clock which is superb in my opinion
I thought that looked really cool so did some searching. Perhaps Advanced Clock widget?
i vote for minimalistic text
It's a really nice widget!
I'd like to get ahold of that myself.
What's the verdict on what it is?
You can make that with Make your clock widget.
Here's a little gallery, you can finde more templates online from within the app.
It's Make Your Clock Widget app.
This is my screen:
I got that clock widget, its name is One More Clock, you can download from the market

Which app is your favorite weather app?
I'm always using either 1Weather or AccuWeather for Android, just wondering if I'm missing another good one.
Weather Underground is fantastic. Market Link
I have butiful Widgets, weather and I love this. By far the best $$ well spent.
Sent from my DROID
I'll have to check both of those out thanks. Do you see any impact with the widget on your battery?
GoWeather. It's accurate and has 2 nice themes, lucid pro and htc style.
My favorite is 1 weather
Mostly been using Beautiful Widgets, because anything that requires spending more than a few seconds to get the weather is wasting my time. Wish it were easier to get it to refresh, though.
I prefer the htc weather. It gives me vie best weather dates and is looking most beautiful...
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Switched for Palmary Weather to BeWeather (can get it from getjar for free). Nicest looking widget. Great animations, very accurate.
Beweather here, you can use beautiful widgets with it as well. Has multiple widgets. Free at getjar.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Currently I'm using 1Weather
Weather Channel's app gets the job done for me.
1Weather. Simple and nice.

...Weather Bug Elite...
Snowstorm.
Easily the most accurate I've used. Tried Palmary, Beautiful Widgets, BeWeather and others - all cone up short re forecasts/temperature.
Beauyiful Widgets never got within 7 degrees....
used to use beautiful widgets until go weather came out. much nicer looking. check it out

+1 next to goweather this is the nicest looking widget ive seen so far. is that a live background?
Third-party Android app provider GetJar has offering the venerable widget suite for free under their Gold list of apps. Beautiful Widgets, for those of you unfamiliar, is a spectacularly customizable set of widgets available on the Android Market for $2.75. For those afraid of not supporting the developer through the free download, developer actually gets paid per download, so it’s a win-win all around.

BW Super Clock is the best Android clock/weather widget.
I'm trying to make as sharp as possible HD Xperia clockskin.
Let me know what you guys think about it.

Fancy Widget is nice but i like BW more because geolocation for weather is very accurate.
BW is hands down the best weather widget for Android at the moment. Thanks for the promotion info.
As for the skin, the background is great, but you might consider changing the numbers to fit the lockscreen clock or the SE widget from the rom. Cheers!

Yes I think i will make 3 versions with different numbers.
preview ver.2 with the same numbers like stock SE Digital Clock Widget
Just thought to contribute
I made a weather pack from the default SE Weather Widget, and it looks pretty good.
Enjoy, cheers!
