Hy guys, I'm new on XDA and I'm from Italy...I'd like you to know this rom for 32b (maybe ther's a port for 32a but I'm not sure) from Spain...I'll report here the topic on HTC Mania (htcmania.com). Here is it:
Recomiendo hacer las particiones es decir swap64mb ext512 y el resto como fat32 tambien recomiendo encarecida mente u obligatoriamente formatear la targeta de memoria o en su caso borrar las carpetas de android de la misma, haer todos los wipes, la Rom tarda unos pocos minitos en hacer el primer arranque ya que esta instalando todos los extras el primer arranque tarda entre 3 y 5 minutos, una vez este echo este arranque y realizada las configuraciones previas es de obligacion hacer un reinicio para la total funcionalidad del telefeno

y eligen las opciones "a" si tienen swap+fat o "b" si tienen swap+fat+ext3/4
luego les pide el swappines q yo lo tengo en 40 y funciona perfecto
a la tercera opcion si no tienen mucha idea ponganle q no con la "n"

Hacemos un Nandroid por lo que pueda pasar
Copiamos archivos de seguridad al pc desde la tarjeta de memoria
Formateamos tarjeta de memoria (desde recovery haciendo las particiones swap64 ext3 512 resto fat32)
Conectamos el tlf al pc en transferencia de datos(recovery amon-ra 1.7.0 opcion 2)
Copiamos la rom y loa kernell deseados en la tarjeta memoria
Flasheamos la rom e iniciamos el tlf normalmente, hacemos la configuracion previa instalamos las app y demas, reiniciamos el tlf una vez termiando para que asiente la rom
Este paso es opcinal es la instalacaion de los kernell a mas velocidad tenemos que entrar en el tlf en recovery y flashear el kernel deseado como una rom y ya esta todo funcionando

there's the italian translation only in the previous rom, not in the 2.2.1 ota based (only english and spanish)....i use it and it's very smoots and it doesn't have any FC....

ROM is working fine. Smooth, no FCs, little small on /data partition but can be handled with Firerat's patches.
Too much ringtones. Remove and few MBs are back.
Fits in 92 MB system partition (for those who use MTD hack).
Battery life is acceptable.
Generally - solid daily driver.

Its helped me avoid problems while others have complained of issues in various threads.
Up to your discretion though if you do it or not.
Here's a major downside, albeit I am using a 1400 mAh battery.
The battery consumption is high... may work for some but this is a major issue for me.
Going back to the Rom on my signature once I fully charge my battery again.
Seeing this Rom is based on CM Nightly as well, performance is there but I MUST have a reasonable battery life.
My occupation doesn't give me time to charge my battery throughout the day or night, once per day is a must for me.
Great Rom though, apps2ext working well, many settings to tweak.
Did notice the wi-fi didnt work and the built in browser has issues.

Is this the white or black version?, I like the black version better than the white one...
OK, so this ROM is extra fast and stable, I would love to use it.
BUT PLEASE, remove this awful theming! Man, with all respect, this theme is... ugly. Please make a vanilla version and this will be one of best Froyos out there, your work is really great!

Les cuento lo que hice: seguí el tuto para hacer el puerto usando la rom de quarx del dia 120308, CM9-NIGHTLY-120308-Defy(hwa) y la version v4 2.3.16 de esta pagina: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1383721. Ademas tuve que flashear el parche de bateria hecho por Auris en el post de cm9. Para la banda base de Defy instale un zip via clockworkmod.
todavia estoy testeando.
Que funciona?:
- Camara: fotos y videos (la primera vez no me anduvo, despues sin problemas)
- wifi
- Datos mobiles
- Youtube
- Almacenamiento USB
Que no funciona?:
- Sensor de proximidad.
- Sensor de acelerometro.
Acabo de termiar de subirlo por si quieren probarlo. El tema del acelerometro es bastante molesto. Espero que podamos encontrar una solucion. Menciono que despues de varias horas, casi 20, se puso un poco lento pero tras reiniciar se normalizo. Cualquier pregunta o sugerencia, soy todo oidos... u ojos. Saludos

Regarding the sensors you put these two files in etc \ permision?
android.hardware.sensor.proximity.xml
android.hardware.sensor.light.xml
: D
To see if it will be that.
If the orientation is going a step further.
Ideally, do it with the 2.3.23 and the 19/03/2012

I didn't do that. I already download 2.3.23 to upgrade and will try what you suggest. Theres no way that the 120319 works for me. Had to flash sbf so many time after flash that from. Thanks
No puse esos archivos. Ya baje la 2.3.23 para actualizar, y voy a probar lo que sugieres. No hay forma de que la 190312 me funcionara. Tuve que flash ear varias veces el sbf de froyo tras instalar mesa rom. Gracias
EDIT: I'm watching those files and both (base rom/ported rom) have the same.

Anyway we track and I think if we all contribute a little early we will have a cover for the DEFY miuiv4 at least as advanced as this CM9

I use almost all of the cm9 relesed roms, and the only one that give me problems was the 19/03/12. I'm using the 08/03/12 because works everything, and works very well in my defy. I'm still don't use any GB kernel rom for this port. Maby in other moment. If we could give a solution to the sensors, my rom will be very usefull. I'm using it for the las 24 hours. Battery drain a little more than cm9, but not to much. Depends of the use, right?
He usado la mayoria de las roms de cm9 liberadas, y la unica que me provoco problemas fue la 19/03/12. Estoy usando para este port la 8/03/12 porque funciona todo y anda muy bien en mi defy. Todavia no he intentado hacer este trabajo con las roms de kernel gb. Talvez en otro momento. Si le podemos dar una solucion a los sensores, mi rom sería muy usable. Yo ya llevo con ella mas de 24 horas. La bateria se consume un poco mas rapido que con cm9, pero no mucho, Depende del uso, no?

He usado la mayoria de las roms de cm9 liberadas, y la unica que me provoco problemas fue la 19/03/12. Estoy usando para este port la 8/03/12 porque funciona todo y anda muy bien en mi defy. Todavia no he intentado hacer este trabajo con las roms de kernel gb. Talvez en otro momento. Si le podemos dar una solucion a los sensores, mi rom sería muy usable. Yo ya llevo con ella mas de 24 horas. La bateria se consume un poco mas rapido que con cm9, pero no mucho, Depende del uso, no?

the most hardest work i did was find a V4 rom that could make 3g work on defy. I try so many. Two of them give me mobile data and this one is the most stable. The rest was just follow the proxuser's post about porting V4. And thanks to mentions the app "display orientator". i didn't know about that and work great.

First and foremost I must say that I do not know much english and non-ce write it. What I am doing is translating from Spanish to English and when I read in the forum so i translate to Spanish to be able to understand.
Well i've been reading to see if i see something of the problem i have with my Infuse and i'm trying to Flash my Infuse, but when it came to Rom Manager and then Flash ClockWorkMOD Recovery i get a phone list, but the my does not appear i chose Galaxys Samsung i9000 and i get Successfully downloaded ClockWorkMOD recovery,but alleged mind has to leave a yellow bar and do not see at any time the yellow bar.Then I went to Quick Boot and i got no reboot system now then i would like to reinstall Packages and i get error (E:Failed to verify whole-File) (E: Singnature verification failed(Installation aborted) created by what I have read here the problem is that the Android System is Recvery< 3e> and you have to be in < 2e> to enter the Clockworkmod.
Any help that I can provide is grateful in the soul.

Ok!!! lo primero que le hice fue el Infuse Root Unlock y lo verique con el Root Check Basic para saber si estaba bien echo el Root, todo bien. Luego consegui el Rom Manager y el Quick Boot, pero cuando entro a Rom Manager
y luego a Flash ClockWorkMOD Recovery me sale una lista de telefono, y el mio no aparesio y escogí Samsung GalaxyS i9000 y me sale Successfully downloaded ClockworkMod recovery,pero supuesta mente tiene que salir una barra amarilla y no veo en ningún momento la barra amarilla. Luego fui a Quick Boot y no me salio reboot system now luego le doy a Reinstall Packages y me sale error (E:Failed to verify whole-File) (E: Singnature verification Failed)(Intallation aborted) Despue de todo esto segui buscando en internet y me encontre con un video de How to Install Clockworkmod Recovery on the Samsung Infuse 4G que lo iso nuetro conpañero qbking77,pero me confundi cuando estaba poniendole al Recovery el .orig y lo enimine despues entre a Quict Boot y luego ledi a
Reinstall Packages y me salio el erro que dije antes y como no tenia otra opcion

ok first lets download a fresh one click, here is the one click to stock click me
ok once we have this file it is a exe file, just double click it and get it a second or two to open:
while that is going put the phone into download mode: DOWNLOAD mode: turn off phone.... open back cover, Remove battery. Press and hold both volume buttons. Plug in USB cable and then insert battery.
1. Put your phone into Download Mode. that is what we did up above.
2. If you have not used Heimdall, you will need to set up the driver for device recognition.
3. Once your device is connected, the DEVICE STATUS should show: CONNECTED. The long FLASH bar will also turn on for flashing.
4. Click on the FLASH button. (In my opinion: I recommend that you do this in a safe environment. Do not disturb your phone will flashing this firmware. Turn off Antivirus. Do not run any other programs, upload/download/youtube/burning DVD etc)
5. Once it has completed, your phone will reboot. You will hopefully see the ATT logo and reboot into STOCK UCLB3.
6. If it did not work, you will have to put it back into DOWNLOAD mode and reflash a second time, with the FLASH BOOTLOADER box checked. This is more likely if you never had proper Gingerbread bootloaders on your phone, if you are coming from FROYO or if you never had Odin a Gingerbread leak to get your bootloaders.
then once it boots...let it sit for few min....And if your gonna flash a rom I would put it on the sd card at this point...
Then now if you want put CWM on to flash a ROM,
Download this file to put CWM on it is a one click also: click me
>Put your phone back into DOWNLOAD mode after your phone has booted up.
Flash this package. It is Entropy512's DD kernel. same way you did the one click to stock....It will boot your phone completely.

and below is when you want to flash a rom...but lets get the above going...
Once the phone has booted into stock ROM, use the three fingers technique to get into recovery.
Recovery Mode: Power off, hold both volume buttons and the power button at the same time. Samsung logo should come on. Let go only the power button, Keep holding the volumes buttons for 12-15 seconds and let go.
When in CWM:
I recommend the following to get the cleanest flash that has not failed me.
1. Wipe data/factory reset.
2. Wipe Cache.
3. Go to Advance: wipe dalvik cache.
4 Go back and into Mount and Storage: format system, format data, format cache.
5. Go back to main and flash your ROM.

Like at bigjoe says stay away from those roms, in my opinion star with vagabond, then you can try emancipation, and another else.... remember first to all you need to READ READ READ and then READ over and over, that's the only way to learn, and please from time to time splash some thanks....

Todo me salio bien aun que cuando el el teléfono reinicio la pantalla se puso de muchos colore (Toda Distorsionada),pero hasta ahora esta bien por que no he podido jugar un poco con el, pero me gustaría instalar la Rom que dije arriva.

Ok javomarlin, fijate esos colores que salen al principio se debe a que tu tlf no tiene lo bootloaders de Gingerbread, eso se soluciona muy facil, vuelve a colocar el tlf en download mode y repite todo lo que hiciste con la salvedad de que ahora una vez se reinicie el tlf lo desconectas de la pc y sin cerrar el programa marcas la casilla que dice bootloaders, espera que el tlf se reinicie, le sacas la bateria y lo vuelves a colocar en download mode, le das a flashear y voila.... ya tienes los GB bootloaders, ya con eso puedes flashear la rom que quieres inclusive esa que quieres miui.....
Yo la verdad no te la recomiendo, vas a perder ciertas funciones de tu tlf como el Bluetooh etc etc etc, esas roms no estan hechas para estos modelos y tienen muchos bugs, pero en fin tu decides cual colocar, suerte y cuentanos como te fue....

Gracias por la aclaración. Es que tenia un poco de dudas cuando lo estaba flasheando por que la guia que me dio bigjoe2675 yo las tengo que traducir y aveces no son muy es pacificas, pero se entiende bastante, lo voy a volver hacer y luego te dejo saber como me fue.

Volví a flashear el Tlf y cuando reinicio lo desconecte de la PC, pero me volvió a salir la pantalla distorsionada con muchos colores y cuando marque la casita Flash Bootloaders me salio este mensaje:

Is there any way to solve this? it is the only problem I've seen in the ROM (Besides the already known as the recording in 720p, HDMI output and panoramic photography) and if not perhaps be resolved by changing the app, I know it's an app that comes with the system but not if it can change (and try changing the clock frequencies of the cpu but has not worked). :silly:

Con respecto a tu pregunta final el kernel de esta rom no permite overclok solo underclock y undervolt asi que por los momentos te recomiendo dejar eso sin cambios, el problema que tienes con las llamadas se soluciona de una sola forma, y es que a la gente aca les cuesta entender, en fin, vuelve a stock con heimdall one click o con odin, el que mejor trabajes, luego flashea el kernel que ics que empaqueto Qkster, combo 3 dedos para entrar al recovery y (OJO con esto)
1. format data/factory reset.
2. Wipe cache
3. Wipe dalvik cache.
4. Format system.
Luego install from sd card y instalar esta rom, esperar que se reinicie en recovery de nuevo, volver a instalar luego de eso instalar las gapps reboot y voila....
Seguro eso solucionara tu problema con las llamadas, saludos desde Vzla.

I could not find the factory rom, so I created a backup from mine, but the system.img was corrupted but I got other one from a similiar rom and i edited some files. Sorry by my english, I speak spanish, so if you speak spanish you can ask in spanish.

- I deleted some apks not important, I just put pure android apk
- I unocked the boot.img
- I unlocked the recovery.img and change it by cwm recovery.
- Adb debugeable on boot and recovery, you dont need turn on your phone just plug to usb and you can use adb.
- I rooted the phone
- I deleted the launcher replacing by holo launcher, because this phone has very low ram.
- The unique problem is the WIFI, if you turn off the screen the wifi turn off, even if you put NEVER turn off in the advance settings, I solve this installing the "Wake Lock" from google market and use it with PARTIAL WAKE LOCK.

Use this rom only if you phone is briked, dont use it if your phone works fine, because do it with wrong fdl1.bin or fdl2.bin you will briked, of course you can unbricked but you need your factory rom to do it.

in my rom the boot.img its unlocked, but to do with other boot.img you need unpack thet boot.img and then change the file default.prop, changing ro.secure=0, to can unpack you need a tools http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2319018

No creo que vaya a funcionar y no lo recomiendo ya que tu cel es de 4 pulgadas, tienes que ser exactamente igual ya que estos chinos son muy diferentes internamente unos con otros, sobre el consumo de bateria comunmente es por el wifi y pues estos vienen con una bateria muy pobre, casi todos los chnos vienen asi, hay una opcion en el wif que se apague cuando se apague la pantalla lo malo que esta forma no permitira recibir ninguna señal y no recibiras ninguna conexion asi que si necesitas usar el wifi pues solo puedes atenuar la pantalla y dejar el wifi siempre prendido pero si no lo necesitas es mejor mantenerlo apagado siemrpe.

yes, after installing a custom rom, with that file it returns the signal of the device, it DOES NOT work if you made a bad installation with spflashtoool of your stock rom,

Hola estimado como está, a su criterio que rom me recomiendas para este terminal, el mio es moto c 4g y lei en las respuestas de resurrection remix que el modo avion gasta la bateria y pues suelo usar seguido esa opción... que rom es la más estable espero me puedas ayudar ya que con la stock me dura arto la bateria pero me gustaria tener las opciones extras que siempre traen las custom. Saludos desde Perú
