Is there an APK for the advanced power control used in CM ROMs?
I really want to add this to my current ROM and can't find this anywhere.

Does anyone know if theres anyway to add features to the quick settings on honeycomb (the lower right button thing). I remember stock there was the option to control the volume on there, but now that im running tiamat theres none now. I really liked having the volume control there so i dont wear out the volume buttons. Is there anyway to add that back on?
I have used Xoom with stock Android 3.0.1, 3.1, 3.2, 3.2.1 and i have never seen a volume control there.
Only slider there is for display brightness control.
REALLY???
This is bad guys this is bad...i must be remembering things that weren't there...
You can change the volume by hitting one of the volume buttons. Then drag the volume slider that pops up.

Im pretty sure you would have to modify framework. Is it possible? I dont know. Widgets i think are more possible and are in use on Moray Rom I think (I havent flashed to it)
Hi, i'm using a GB custom rom and i want the aokp feature which when you press volume key, it shows an option to expand the volume settings and change the volume for other things. For example when in homescreen i press volume to change ringtone, i want to be able to change media volume from homescreen, or an office app...
Please help me make a mod that do this!! (do'nt even know where to start)
Or i could use the volume key to change only media volume instead of ringer/media.
I looked for this on internet and there's a lot of threads of people wanting this, but not even one with a solution...
It can't be made?
No one? Come on people

I want this too
Sent from my HTC Intruder using my brain.
Hello friend.
I had the same problem and today I found the solution. I use Resurrection Remix too.
I had downloaded an app called NOYZE that did the trick.
There's some details, tough. The app isn't in the play store and only expands the panel with pro version activated. So I downloaded it using Blackmart and activated pro using LuckyPatcher.
It overrides the normal volume panel and is very useful.
Check it out if you can.
I have a phone with very customized ROM (Flyme) and I'm trying to find a way to force volume buttons to control Ringtone/Notification volume instead of Media volume.
I know there is a way to perform this, thanks to an Xposed module, but my phone can't be rooted. Can it be done without root and without one of those many volume controlling apps that show a widget or a persistent notification with different profiles? I just need to press hardware buttons to control those volumes.
[If you ask me why I need this is because ROM devs are stupid (at least Flyme devs, but I know Oreo "benefits" from this great feature) and didn't think that Media volume should change only if some Media is playing. If no Media is playing, why someone would need to change Media volume? I thought these are smartphones, not dumbphones and I was expecting to do smart things, like detecting when Media is playing and changing the volume accordingly. I guess I was wrong...]
You can get noyze volume panel that works with accessibility controls, you can fins the app on github or google noyze volume panel (no root required), it has extended panel in options which makes sense for android as even pie has the worse volume controls than kitkat.

Thanks a lot, it works as needed!
I recently reinstalled stock ROM on my G7 Power and found that long pressing the volume key no longer advances to the next music track or podcast in my various apps. It worked just fine before, and I had not rooted my device or installed any app to enable this feature. Looking online seems to suggest this feature is not included in the stock ROM. Any ideas about how I had this feature enabled previously?
NVM - just found it under Moto Actions.
FlashlightAccessibilityService
I provide here this basic app to toggle flashlight from vol up + vol down and/or power + vol up.
It uses a new feature introduced with Android 12 to toggle accessibility services from these key combos.
How to use:
Install the app.
Go to Settings app, then Accessibility, and Advanced settings.
Select your key combo, then go down and select Activate flashlight.
Enjoy!
Requirements:
Since it is an Android 12 exclusive feature, this will only work on One UI 4.
To get a proper cohesion between this app and the quick setting flashlight tile.
You should consider, but it is not mandatory, to give WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission to this app.
Here it is only used to read secure settings but we need the permission as well.
To do that, two choices:
Using ADB :adb shell pm grant com.android.flashlightaccessibilityservice android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGSUsing terminal app (as Termux) :pm grant com.android.flashlightaccessibilityservice android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
Changelog:
v1: Initial release
v1.1 : Drastic size reduction (removed unneeded dependencies + build optimisation)
v1.2 : Proper handling between the key combination and the quick setting torch tile
Love it mate. I used Key Mapper before to remap volume up long press to flashlight but this breaks holding vol up to raise volume and I had to tap it to raise volume. This works quite a lot better.
Shame it still doesn't work screen off tho but I guess that's impossible without root and I wanna keep my Knox + bootloader lock intact due to some software from work needing it.

Thanks!
Same here I leave Key Mapper since it doesn't recognize power button. Thanks Google for this accessibility feature.
Yep as well shame for screen on only. This is not in my hands btw.
In android 12 this can be done without any additional applications. It is enough to enter advanced functions, side key, double-press, open applications, select a flashlight

That worked in 11 as well but me at least wants to keep camera on double press side key. How else should we open the camera quickly lol.

For sure
But this way you can use anything else with double press
I'm with @Sdaro on this. I double tap my power key to turn the flashlight on/off. No external apps needed. Did it on Android 11 and still with 12.
Settings -> Advanced Features -> Side Key -> Turn on Double Press, select Open app then choose an app.

Again no doubt about that.
But this way you can use flashlight and a second quick launch like camera. Even a third one with the other accessibility key combo.
Thanks for sharing.
