I am currently undertaking a small scale research project as part of a college project I was wondering if you would be willing to be interviewed, either through email, or phone as part of that research. The interview itself is very short with 10 or so questions.
The title of my research project is The Role of Communication in developing successful apps. The aim of my research is to discover why some apps are successful focussing on the contribution of effective communication between stakeholders. I will begin by looking at areas such as first mover advantage, marketing, and capabilities before concentrating solely on the role of communication.
I wont disclose any information about any of you. It is totally anonymous :good:
I know this is very forward as a first post on this forum, but I am having trouble getting suitable participants.
Many thanks Bodie

I'm looking a freelance Android developer to help me out with a project.
I am an author of World War One and also have past published books.
But now with latest technology, I am now seeking a silent (Partner) on a profit share of return, to make an App for the WWI & WWII Memorials.
It is much like an existing concept now on App, like Camper Contacts, which gives you an actual location of a memorial, GPS of the site and a small outline.
Google Play Store have shown high interest in my initial concept, but making this (App) is way beyond my skills.
If you can make? or want to quote me a price to make, or want to form a profit share for the development, then please make contact.
ONLY Genuine interested need apply, I am 1nuine and require the same for others.
Thank you
Colin.

I got an email just now and was wondering if anyone else got it. Here is the email message without the link to the survey.Dear whom it may concern,
First of all I would like to apologize for my sudden email about the survey.
I am sincerely sorry for this action.
But as a PhD Student, I was not able to put aside my curiosity on developer communities and due this curiosity I am sending this email.
Also I would like to clarify how I got access to your email addresses.
The email addresses were retrieved from XDA’s user profile.
No would like to stress out that I have no other sources than XDA user profile to retrieve your email addresses.
I will send only one email concerning the survey.
So this will be the first and last time I will be using the email.
I am writing on behalf of the KAIST Graduate school of business to ask for your help with an research project.
As part of a larger research program I wish to conduct a survey about XDA users / developers and ask about their lead user attributes.
The concept “Lead User” was created by Professor Eric. von Hippel of MIT (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lead_user ), to identify individuals that possess future needs, and also benefits significantly from solutions obtained.
Several research findings provide evidence that lead users are important sources of innovation, and several important innovations have been created by the users themselves. NOT manufacturers.
Therefore I would like to invite you to my short survey regarding individual “Lead Userness” created by von Hippel.
The survey will take about 5 minutes in total to complete.
Your survey results will be completely confidential, data will be only used for academic purposes only.

Nice to meet you. We are Stanford Marketing Group, currently conducting a research on individual developers and their familiarity with Ads API. The goal of our research is to find ways for corporations to offer better resources for you, developers, so that they can work with you and you can get the support you want! The survey will take about 4 minutes.
