Hi there,
Before we begin, I know that there's a lot of attention at the moment for text-based clocks, etc. I use apps like TAJM, and appreciate what they bring to the Android community.
I'm a designer by trade, and really wanted to create something that would look nice on my homescreen...so I designed the following mock-ups:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
All of the above is my own artwork, including the launcher pro docks and icons. However, it's just the clock that I want to bring to the table....here is what I'm thinking:
I'd like to see some kind of 'info' clock, with many customiseable options that the user that choose...so that they could personalise it the way they want it. The could have something like:
Large text-based clock with smaller battery stats underneath.
Numerical clock with battery stats.
Larger battery stats with small text or numerical clock underneath.
Large text-based clock with google calender events underneath (scraped from your synced calendar!)
...plus many, many other options.
What I'm looking for is a great, fast coder who can help me with this. I would carry out all the design work, be able to pass the Photoshop PSD files to you, and you carry out the code.
I am thinking that, initially, we create a small app which would be free. However, as the number of options grow, we COULD charge a small amount then splits the proceeds 50/50. I've not thought this thing through yet...but we can talk!
So, can anyone help? I want it to look GOOD, and I want it to be functional.
If you can help, either PM me here or grab me on [email protected]
Thanks
Mike
Cant help but Ill bump because this looks amazing.
Looks great
I'd also like for a coder to appear for this project.
Wish it were me but I have no idea. Just would like this on my Epic
I actually has something similar in mind for a widget. Since I have to rewrite Tajm (it's crap at the moment) I hade plans to make a more complete widget containing BattStatt, Tajm and a weather (in text like battstatt and tajm) and maybe something else.
Though it wasn't as pretty as yours in my head
Well, how about getting something together....I can come up with some nice design ideas for TAJM and you could implement them?
I'm really not looking to out-do anyone...and whatever works well for the community has to be a good thing, right?

Hi, I've just spent 20 minutes searching here and have struggled to find a good and large set of folder icons.
Anyone know a good source - I use JWMD Icon changer, which is great - but, I'd like some consistent folder icons for organising my ever increasing set of apps.
Thanks for any links ...

How about these? They look great!
Thanks - I must admit for my taste these are "over-engineered" - I was really looking for some folder like icons with masses of "sub-icons" for the themes. These brief case ones are really nice. For me, there is just not enough of them to go for a full conversion.
My simple (childish perhaps) wish is a single consistent set of folder icons for the many different types of apps.

I have all of those Icons, Highly recomend them they really set the look of the UI off, gives it a nice 3D look, More importantly break's the trend of iphone inspired icons...
take this source
http://www.iconspedia.com
it is free and can download icons in high resolution png format and use it easly

I collect the watches and love them to death. Would sure love to have an awesome clock widget on my phone that matches my wrist. I found one in an HD2 thread but it is for CHT and I don't think that works on my phone running Myn's 2.2. Here is a pic of what I am looking for. Maybe this is already out there, otherwise I would be willing to cough up a ransom for something like this too.

I would want one like the top row with the black dials
No PAM fans out there?

Where did you get the images of the dials? I've got a Black Seal Automatic that I wouldn't mind seeing in a widget. I'm looking to get into Android development and this might start me down that route.
Here is the thread I found the image in.
◆◆◆ [Clocks for CHT] ◆◆◆ Lume up your Home Tab
It is set up for Cookies Home Tab for the HD2.....never heard of Cookies Home Tab....but doubt it can work on the Evo.....

I would ask in the thread you found the attached image for the base .psd file used to make the clock faces. It should be just a matter of getting the hands on there as well (maybe include a picture of your watch for reference or again ask the original dev for his .psd files for those as well) which probably wouldn't be too hard to do. If you get all of that try asking iamthebigcheeze if he could throw it together for you. Like I said with all the right image files already created it really shouldn't be hard to throw together a flashable for this clock.
On a related note, I'm a watch lover too but I'm a Tag Heuer fan
Thanks. I will put in a request on that thread an PM the developer for that stuff. I will let you know what happens.
BTW....fixed the link in the above post too
I havn't found a browser that I like 100%. I like Dolphin but I want something a little more clean/simple. Thats why, yesterday, I thought of making my own in photoshop (for now).
Let me know what you think.

So, that would be the main page. The three dots next to the Google logo would be a drop down menu for switching search engines and including others like Wikipedia, Wolfram-Alpha, Yahoo, ect. The icons at the bottom are from left to right: Home, Tabs (like when you do a home screen view on Sense/Launcher Pro/ADW/Go Launcher), Back/Front (Can be used on websites or tabs), Bookmarsk, Options.
The whole thing would also go into full screen mode and the top and bottom navigation bars would be brought up using the menu button (optional).
Again, very simple. At the bottom you have your main operations. Sort by (most viewed, alphabetical, ect.), Edit bookmark names/urls, and batch delete.
This is options menu. Options are seperated into three categories, Display, User and Misc.
I just realized that I forgot the enable/disable toggles (duh).
Anyway, this is pretty much my dream browser more or less. Im still working on some other things in photoshop.
Let me know what you guys think.
By the way, I got most of the icons from here...

I guess I would have to make my own if I actually developed this.
It's nice but i hate apps that doesn't use the native style of Android...why does everyone think that he needs to create an own UI?
Looks clean. I'd give it a try.

I'd definitely use it

Not sure what you mean by that. If I used the native style of Android wouldn't it be just like the stock browser? Therefore, it would be pointless in me making one?
Im by no means a professional UI designer so im probably misunderstanding what you are saying.
I do agree with you about apps that Android doesn't already have stock though.

Lol, yah. Im in love with how the Metro UI looks. Pretty much why im so excited about ICS.
Hey folks,
I am pretty sure many of you have seen this amazing facebook redesign concept and I thought I'd make a new Homescreen UI based on it - I think with the big screen of our galaxy note, it's a cool Idea. However, I am neither really good at photoshop nor at using UCCW and right now the problem I got is, that I am not able to resize the UCCW correctly.

I am using Nova Launcher ATM and no matter what grid size I use or what size I set the UCCW Image, it never goes fullscreen. Maybe it is due to the new update? Any hints are welcome, right now either have to use SSLauncher or as a wallpaper with transparent shortcuts...
Well, I will be uploading my UCCWs here and if any of you is interested in creating some UCCWs based on this redesign (Like a themed calendar, music player etc. etc.) would be cool if you post them here. I am sure there are many better themers than me out here
Greetings
I've got an idea on how to share your theme easily with others. Use buzz launcher, add in your uccw stuffs inside, and share. Other than that its free
I have already used buzz launcher but it is too laggy and unstable in my opinion. I can upload the uccw already but well it doesn't fit to full screen so thats kinda bad atm, I cant get the scaling right ! (and also I want to make it somehow customizable for you guys so I gotta remove my profile pic ofc )
I will upload some more concept stuff tomorrow, watched the DFB Final today and I am pretty exhausted now... if you want to have a glimpse at my work with SS Launcher, you can check it out here, with many tutorials and files already:

Good luck with that mate waiting your work :good: btw where that new facebook with the redesigned UI ?

Here is a ZIP-File with the PNG's, maybe someone manages to resize them correctly for UZIP... but as far as I've seen, many users complained about the new update making widgets too small.
The Icons are from a paid icon pack called "Retrofied" btw, made by screenlicious, check his work out:
http://www.screenlicious.com/shop-2/
Also many free icons! I will continue working on some more tiles, stay tuned...
Greetings
Here's another UCCW, playing around with the Tiles UI...
Fuzzy clock watch-faces, first of such kind for the Sony SmartWatch2!
The watchfaces are actually clocks (not widgets!) and thus work even when the Bluetooth connection is lost. Also, the clocks don't occupy the full screen of your watch, so you can place other widgets on it as well!
Here's a link to the app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eir.watches.fuzzy
And below are two of the watch-faces. Hope you like them!

I hate how each of these rad new clock apps cost money. We need one that has all of them. These are lame. You need epic digital clocks with nice, epic, classy, fun, fonts. Not words with non specefic times

They cost money because they require time, skills and effort to make. If you do them (and I mean all of them, as you say) for free, I guess you'll find many people would be grateful for that.
Until then, the symbolic .99 USD price is a cool enough way to say "thank you" and keep me motivated.
I agree

First off, thank you for your time and effort creating this app for the SW2. I downloaded your app already. With all these new apps taking advantage of the new firmware and manu0466 hack to allow overlapping you guys are doing a great job making this watch what we wanted in the first place.
What I wanted to ask you is if you can add new widgets with smaller size; It looks like the second font is very similar to the default one used by Sony and it is very legible is smaller sizes. Thanks again!
What's that "km/h" widget? I want it!
