nvm, i figured it out, i just had to update a different DREAIMG.nbh file
I've been trying to upgrade my phone to Froyo with CM6 for ages. All other methods failed so I bought a new SD card, created a Goldcard, and most stuff seemed to be working.
But now after I've flashed the CM ROM it just hangs at the splash screen. I saw the bit saying it might take 5 minutes to load the first time, but this took more than 20 minutes and still no joy.
Here's the Firmware information from my fastboot screen:

For my recovery I'm using RA-sapphire-v1.7.0H.
I tried flashing 'update-cm-6.0.0-DS-signed.zip' (from wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_version#MagicCM6) and 'CM6-FroyoRedux-2.0-32b.zip' (from forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723520). In both cases I manage to flash the ROM fine - it says it's been updated, but then when I try to start the phone again it hangs at the splash screen.
What am I doing wrong?
hi there, did you ever find a fix for this?
i have... SAPPHIRE 32B
SPL/hboot version: 1.33.0013d.
Radio version: 2.22.27.08.
Main software version: 1.89.179.1.
cid: vodap022.
cpld: 10.
product: sapphire.
mid: sapp10000.
security: on.
build-mode: ship.
still hanging on vodafone splash screen?
My threads gone all quiet??
No I'm afraid I just decided that the phone must be bricked, and I bought another one. And I intend to sell the old one on ebay for spare parts, but haven't got round to it.
-- Edit --
Oh no, wait. This post was probably from way before I bricked my HTC Magic.
Have you tried booting into fastboot mode? Does that work? Because if you get there you can flash a new ROM from the SD card just by putting a file on the card with the correct filename. I don't have time to find links right now I'm afraid. You get to fastboot by holding back + power on. Or volume down + power on. Or menu + power on. Or something. Try a few combinations. Or look it up.
Ok so when I try to factory restore it, it just cycles between the boot up tmobile my touch4g screen and the green arrow phone screen.
recovery does not work.
and I have tried restoring it using PD15IMG.zip but each time it says mainversion is to old update failed.
what do?
I am short on time and I am about to get off work, and will try to fix it when I come into work tomorrow.

You're still s-on so the root process didn't complete. Your best bet is to go to the IRC in the aahk thread. They should be able to get you back to normal.
This issue is covered in the manual. You need fix your USB connections and try again
hey
can you please give me a link to it then? i really want to at least get back to factory but it won't work through HBOOT menu.
a step by step guide would be amazing i just need help getting it back to were my phone will work and then i'm not messing with rooting till i do more homework on it.
I have a guide in the general section called"stuck in hboot/whitescreen" . Its stickied right on top.
I would recommend for.you the last section, of flashing an ruu.
hey i'm still at loss on what to do? i have an adapter to read SD on computer but i don't know what to put on the SD, how to name the file, or how to do any of the rest and i have been looking and trying different methods but i have no idea and it's kinda frustrating
Did you read the guide? I thought I did a good job of doing a step by step. Anywhoozle. Download the ruu.exe . You'll want the gb att one(2.47.xxx). Boot your phone into hboot and select fastboot. Connect phone and run ruu

Hi All,
Hoping the community might have some pointers on reviving a HTC Velocity 4G, it is carrier branded (Telstra) if that makes a difference.

When powered on normally, the phone presents the green HTC logo on a white background and stays there. I can hold Vol-Down and power to get to the menu, select Fastboot and connect via a PC so there is some life there. The phone has only ever been stock, in my attempts to bring it back to life the bootloader was first unlocked after the fault appeared.
I have tried two separate Telstra RUU without sucess, as the software on the phone is newer
I've tried to flash Cyanogenmod ROM and other ROMs but failed, invalid signature.
I've tried to S-OFF using JuopunutBear S-OFF Public Beta but the process tries a reboot and the phone hangs at the logo screen
I wanted to try PH39IMG.zip via a SD card, but I couldn't find a link to a known compatible file, the links I found were now dead. I didn't want to try other non-Telstra PH39IMG files in case I made things worse.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks, Ken
