[REQ] HTC Clock + Friendstream - Nexus One Themes and Apps

I had the pleasure of testing a SenseUI based "NXSense" ROM on my N1
Problem is, I had several widgets I really freakin' loved
-the HTC Clock
Beautiful widgets and Weather clock donate are popular recomendations as alternatives but I fail to find them succeeding at one thing: integration. Also, they all cost money which I'm not really okay with considering there should be a way to rip the apk from the SenseUI roms??
The HTC clock thing was using GPS/location to get weather, i hit the date and it opened up calander, i press the time and it brings up my alarm clock and an already inbuilt timer and stop watch. I absolutely loved this.
-Friend Stream
I've used other social network apps.. This one is just so much more simpler. Add accounts, post from widget, done. all networks update. Nothing I've used yet is this well done.
-Activesync Widget for the inbuilt mail app... man that thing was a nice setup. I'm willing to pay for alternatives as this one is work related. My MS Exchange email was so easy to read from this widget

Bingo
Well I think you hit the nail on the head - integration - in fact from my understanding the HTC widgets are very integrated into Sense. And as such there is not a way to port them... something to do with the Framework if I recall reading that somewhere correctly. However Beautiful Widgets does basically the same as the HTC clock but does cost money, and Fancy Widget is identical in look, no idea about functionality. As far as friend stream I know of no alternative, however LauncherPro Plus (also pay) has some widgets that look like it, but of course they are not the app.
However, I am pretty much permanently converted to Sense ROMs and won't be leaving NXSense anytime soon haha

Welp I guess HTC sense rom it is.

launcherpro plus has some sense widgets including on similar to friend stream. it also has facebook twitter calendar bookmarks and people sense widgets too

From my understanding - using friendstream 'n stuff without porting the HTC Sense environment wont work, so either use a sense rom like MicroMods, or live without friendstreem :/

Yup launcher pro plus has it and I love it. Plus I'm using beautiful Widgets for my clock and it does exactly what you say
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

So I bought launcher Pro Plus and ended up flashing to a SENSE UI ROM
I still have a conflict. I just dumped $3 on Launcher Pro Plus, and I'm not exactly happy with its widgets. It doesn't have a FRIEND STREAM widget, it has a FACEBOOK widget :| Not really happy about that
Now when I'm using Launcher Pro Plus, which by the way is way superior as a launcher to any stock launcher, I cannot use any HTC Widgets. Instead they're locked to the HTC Launcher. Very, VERY angry with this.
Is there any way I can get the HTC sense widgets on Launcher Pro? The stock launcher sucks, it lags, its slow, I can't add rows or columns (#1 reason why I like Launcher Pro), and the list goes on.
Someone please help

For Launcher Pro Plus, there is a Twitter Widget, a Facebook Widget, and a Friends Widget which combines the two.
There is no way to use HTC Widgets with a different launcher than the HTC Launcher. Likewise, there is no way to use the Launcher Pro Widgets with a different launcher than Launcher Pro.

Well here's the thing, the HTC Sense Friendstream also has Google Buzz and Flickr Updates in there *pulls hair out* D:
I think I'll stick with the Sense based ROM as I absolutely love the Gallery integration with my Flickr.. but man oh man I really am upset at the lack of those widgets.

HTC Widgets with LauncherPro?

I was told about LauncherPro and loving but the HTC widgets are not in the list while I am using LauncherPro, is there a way I can get the widgets on there?
Thanks,
Josh
Unfortunately the HTC widgets only work with the Sense UI interface and home screen. Once you use a 3rd party home program you lose the ability to add HTC Widgets. I use Helix 2 and find that the usefulness of the program outweighs the need to use HTC specific widgets.
Damn, well thanks Angry.
Does anyone know of any good alternatives to the HTC clock and mail widgets, if there are any good ones, than I will definitely stick with LauncherPro.

Test-driving Beautiful Widgets with Launcher pro. Looking for my weather animations....
I use ADW Launcher, Beautiful Widgets, Agenda Widget, Pure Grid Calendar, Pure Messenger, Pure Music and Visual Bookmarks to replace most of the Sense widgets.

I just modified the Power Widget that's part of this MOD as per the instructions in the thread and it works perfectly and looks better than the Switch Pro widget.

rosie dock to look like launcher pro but keeping htc widgets

ok so my dilema is i love launcher pro cuz of the dock features......but i love sense and rosie because of the scrolable widgets like the htc bookmarks and htc calendar widgest......forgive me if this a noob question and it can be done fairly easy.......can i have both? a launcher pro dock customizable to my liking and not lose the htc widget capabilities?
Nope HTC widgets only work for sense but buy launcherpro plus it has widgets like sense.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Same boat. Launcher pro 3d drawer is sexy. But I love my sense widgets

I had the setup of LauncherPro Plus, and the sense like clock: Fancy widget 1.30 (not in market due to c&d from HTC. Search for it). I had all the goodness of LauncherPro, with LauncherPro Plus' great widgets and the great sense clock
no but i like my friendstream and htc bookmarks and htc calendar widgets
ditch the friendstream... look up pure messenger (and enable the scrollable widgets option in launcher pro) albeit not as 'clean' or fluid...but better than giving up launder pro, imho
bookmarks and calender are located under launcher pro widgets
I think Pure Messenger is better than Friend Stream. And those other widgets you like there are exact replicas in Launcher Pro Plus. And he's creating new ones. Next one is the Friend Stream clone. There will be a news/RSS widget at some point as well. That's the one I want.

lol np i needed a lil bit of pushing myself once i realized. plus that damn scrollable dock is the business!!! htc sense's launcher has always been ugly imo

[Q] MIUI widgets

Guys i'm using MIUI ROM and i'm hesitant to install launcherpro coz i'll loose all the feeling of miui!!!
I need a calendar widget like the one in HTCsense or launcherpro, scrollable, showing full agenda and can switch if possible to calendar month view.
Besides i need a friends widget (Facebook primary and Twitter if possible) like in the one of HTCsense or launcherpro, scrollable, showing status, updates, pics, likes,....
Please guide me
Sorry if this is the wrong section to post, but it doesn't fit too in android general development
10x
Well Launcherpro plus (payed) will give you the widgets or you can get colorize widgets for free.
Schould be almost the same.
Beside that, there are 1 million calender widgets out there, but the one with the most features should be Android Agenda Widget
I agree, I'm Trying to find a nice cal widget like HTC's but nothing really comes close. Is there an APK for that or is it built into HTC?
MIUI Launcher doesn't support scrollable widgets. You will never find one that works on the stock launcher.
Pure calender widget is good.
Completely customisable as well.

[Q] Widgets LauncherPro style

Good morning guys,
Used the launcher and installed MIUI of these days the LauncherPro Plus, and I fell in love with his own widgets, eg Facebook, twitter. You can see all updates in the launcher own without having to be opened by pressing the program or get one by hand and seeing how one of the widgets in the program itself. I would like to leave if there are some widgets that do the same job or if you have way to install these widgets in LauncherPro MIUI?
It would be the perfect combination, the launcher would be perfect for Android.
Thank you.
Excuse my English (google.translate) rsrsrsrsrs
If you mean you're looking for widgets like LP+'s, I'd take a look at Colorize Widgets.
MIUI launcher doesn't support scrollable widgets. You can try Android Pro Widgets though, they have funky but functional workaround.

Looking for clean Facebook and Tweeter widgets

So since Launcher Pro has been abandoned I am looking to replace it. The only thing that stops me are the perfect widgets that come with launcher.....calendar, facebook, and tweeter widgets are the best I have ever used and work 110% (having some problems with launcher itself though)
So did any one use those widgets and found same or better replacement yet ?
ps. I love GoLauncher but their Facebook widget is also dead......
well i was goning to say golauncher ex but you already know, you could give android pro widgets, they are almost clones of the launcher pro widgets
I haven't tried Android pro but I've used "colorize widgets" with success. I believe it's been around for a lot longer too https://market.android.com/details?id=com.snowbee.colorize
thanks. will try Colorize Widget already tried APW and didn't like it much
maybe found a fix today for my constant reboots of launcher pro.....
