Hello All I just did the one click odin to Froyo and as I was getting to put my apps on my phone, I was unable to redownload ESPN Fantasy Football, when I search for it I cannot locate it and when I try a bar code scan still no luck..... Was this the update or was it app taken down anybody know?
Update. When I go to the ESPN Mobile webpage and click on the link that says to download "Fantasy Football application for Android 2.2 click here to download" When I click the market pops up and says "The requested Item could not be found" My buddy has a Android phone with 2.2 and he can search and find the application... what do you think the reason for this is????
The same thing is happening on my phone running the leaked Froyo on the Captivate.

Hi all, I just say that on the NESN home page there is an app for android. When i Try and download it, it tells me it cant find the app. Tried appbrain, and tried to google the apk with no luck. I'm a big New England Sports Fan and would realy like to try this new app. If some one has it and could send me the apk file that would be fantastic. Thanks

I went here on PC and found:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/beta/
Supported devices lists the Captivate.
I tried the QR Code or typing in http://Firefox.com/m/beta
both take me to: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/m/beta
and show "Download for Android" "free beta version"
When I click it my phone says:
"Not found" "The requested item could not be found."
(I think its actually giving me that message from the market)
By holding down on the link for a second and pressing open in new window I see the URL is:
market://details?id=org.mozilla.firefox
So then I go to the market and search for Firefox and Firefox Mobile and Fennec.
However all I find is "Firefox" by Appvision for $1.99 - seems like a fake...
Did AT&T and Samsung remove it from the market?
Is there some other way I can legally get the apk and side load it or something?
Side note before you guys tell me that I don't want to download it.
I want it so I can test my website in it - not because I think it will be better than the built in browser.
It works for me. I am, though, running a custom ROM, Perception, so that might have something to do with it. If you have root, download Market Access from the market, and change your carrier to T-Mobile. Then try again to see if it takes you to the download.
You can download the app here and then install it. You'll have to enable sideloading.

Hi
I updated my Galaxy S to android 2.2.1 yesterday using Kies (I live in Finland and we got it already). After the update, I haven't been able to find some apps in the market. The two apps in particular are the official Wolfram Alpha app (paid for already) and Digital Clock Widget by Maize.
I tried searching for them on the market and I also tried to scan their barcodes linking to the market pages, but no help. The barcode link gave me the "Not found" error.
The barcodes:
products.wolframalpha.com/android/
androidmaize.blogspot.com/2009/05/digital-clock-widget.html (old, wonder if still working)
Sorry about the links not being complete, I haven't posted enough so the forum doesn't let me post full addresses.
Is it a problem with android updates? That some apps take a while to update their market profile for new versions or something? I did a factory reset after updating. Can someone please verify that at least these apps are visible right now on the market?
I apologize for bein a noob in adavance...
Obviously I can't see all of the apps that some other phones can see in the market because they don't "support" gingerbread yet.
My question is:
Is there a way to be able to see and download those apps?
Thanks!
i can see all the apps without doing any changes. but you can try "Eris Market Fix"
requires root, not sure if it works on Nexus S or 2.3.X
A app not "supporting" Gingerbread doesn't mean you can't see it. I haven't had a problem with any incompatibility with any apps.
What are the apps you can't see?
Try searching for "reseplaneraren" (swedish, a red icon with a white tram should show up if your device is compatible).
It shows up for all my friends (froyo) but not for me.
When I go to the market on my computer and try to install it, it says my device isn't compatible.

No, not stockholm subway maps, you should see the gothenburg bus travel interface, but you probably don't because of the above-mentioned reason.
Try searching for the same thing on a froyo device.
You can also try the same thing for "SEB" (Swedish bank). Should show up as a green icon with the letters SEB in white.
My point is this: Some of the apps that showed up on my froyo device don't show up on my nexus (neither stock nor rooted). These apps show up on the web browser market but are "incompatible with my device".
I'm guessing the developers need to update their app using the latest Gingerbread SDK, or perhaps edit a string to say 2.3 (probably doesn't have anything to do with the hardware, since these apps don't use anything that is "hardware dependent").
For a small country like Sweden I'll bet it's more common that these local apps don't get updated as often as the ones you have, and that's why you haven't noticed it before.
I'd like to know if there is a file on my phone that can be changed to be able to view all of the apps in the market, or if there is another fix.
Hi All,
Since I'm a rookie, please pardon me that I'm not allowed to post/reply in the development section, so I have to report my issue about the custome ROM "Prime" here. If anyone is kind to repost my report to the proper thread I'd be appreciated (I can't still join the discussion until my post number reaches 10 though).
I just updated to 2.1.1 last week and all goes well. Only that yesterday I had a chance to open the updated Market (the newest one for Honeycomb, sorry not sure about the version no.), however when choosing a couple of apps, like ThinkFree Office Viewer or Kingsoft Office, the Market app would FC immediately after I press the "Install" button.
Also, the app link in my Folder Organizer to Market is also broken. There is a toast message "Error launching the activity". So I searched the Market for "Market" and found an old version of Market. After installing it, I now have two versions of Market"s" together, but with the old one I still cannot install any app.
Could anyone using the ROM share your experience with the new Market app? Thanks!
I get the same error when I try launching the market, with Prime 2.1.1. Error while launching activity.

Hi Beako, for me, it seems that the launching problem has been fixed, because now again the "Market" icon appears in Folder Organizer and Market can be launched successfully. I wonder if it's because Google has updated the Market version, since Prime remains the same.
I'll try to download the apps which failed to load previously and report back
i had a few apps stalling out on the download step... I just waited a few hours, tried again and it worked fine.
