Editing/Removing Bottom Bar

Hi, please be gentle with me as I'm new here. I posted this on the HTC Mega forum, as that's my phone, but I thought I'd ask it on the Windows general forum as well. Here's what I posted:
"I'm trying to set up my Touch 2 so that it looks and feels exactly how I want it, and I'm nearly there. The only issue I have is the bottom bar. On the home screen it currently has "Phone" and "Contacts" as its default, and I'd love to either change it or (preferably) remove the bottom bar completely. I trawled through the user guide from htc.com and I've tried using the Search here to no avail so I just thought I'd ask. Any clues?"
My home screen looks like the attached - I'm using Easy Today Launcher, and johan kranzcmar's wonderful task bar (thanks johan!), along with a Pure Black theme.
Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated

[Q] Help Request: Simplism ported for Dx?

So, I'm new to the forums (Hi), but I've been messing around with my phone well before i registered (rooted, deo'd, custom notification bar, ect). I'd like to see if anyone here has the ability to either help me with a project, or just to point me in the right direction. What I'd like to do, is port the lockscreen, notification bar, and (if possible) call answer screen from the Simplisim theme for the HTC Desire to the droid X. Simplism can be found in the Desire subform here, I just can't link to it yet...
I'm not sure where to start - I also posted in that thread. I'm currently working on the notification bar (The easy part ). Anyone have any ideas? ^_^

Im game to help, i wont be able to work on it till sunday though, but where do you want me to start. Or what do you need me to teach you to do

Well, I'm already working on the statusbar up top... icons and looks and whatnot. I'll probably get to editing the XML and fonts soon. The REAL issue, at least for me, is how to get that sexy lockscreen and/or call answer screen on the Dx. Any ideas?

[REQUEST] Super combo, all-in-one theme...

First off, let me just say that this forum rocks. Compared to other forums, this one has the best and most talented folks!
Here's what I'm trying to do... As I browse through all of these wonderful themes and customizations, I'd like to take bits & pieces from each and make my own custom theme.
I'm running stock sense and using LauncherPro Plus. I really just want to add the following elements:
Glowing circle battery icon
50% shade notifications
Darkstar custom font
Hide location icon
Custom status bar icon colors (see attached)
yellow clock
yellow 3g signal
blue bluetooth icon
red mute/silent mode
green wi-fi signal
Then, have all of this in one, easy, neat update.zip file. Is this possible? I've read posts about using MetaMorph, but I don't think you can customize these pieces individually, correct?

I think Pimp**** ran into some problems with his new theme. Not sure when he'll have time for this now. :-(

I would love to see this as well. Anyone making progress? I'll test or help where i can.

I'm glad there's sooo much interest for these status bar icons! I can't believe no one has done this yet. The stock icons are so "blah". I'm even surprised when browsing all of the custom ROM's out there!! A lot of black, white & gray.... no one likes to use color?!? LOL

The change I want is on the black bar on the bottom of the notification pulldown. It sort of "stretches" in landscape mode. I mentioned it in the original thread, but I don't wanna be a **** and keep bugging the author (nice guy though ftw). Pretty sure it has something to do with it being a 9.png (those seem to be a pain in the ass)
Could anyone out there either take the White Notification version and fix it, or tell me how to do it? Again, I don't wanna be rude and bug the author with something I mentioned months ago, but the theme is perfect aside from this one thing.

[PROTIP lol] Annoyed by ICS keyboard switcher?

I've read some people don't like the new notification icon for keyboard switching. I don't have a way to get rid of that icon, but I just discovered you don't need to use it. Long hold on the space bar and you will get a pop up for quick changing the keyboard!
I'm running the latest (IIRC) version of Clean Rom Developer Edition. Sorry if this doesn't work on other ICS ROMs.
