[Q] Tasks From Notification Bar - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

Does anyone know if there's a way (option/app/etc) to add the ability to take direct actions from the notification bar?
For example, if my Brother texts "Yeah" I can clear the notifications, or toss single notifications off to the side (not sure if this is a CM6 only thing) but ultimately at some point I have to go into Handcent, and open his thread, to mark that read.
It would be sweet if there was a way that you could take (obviously limited) actions right from the bar (Mark text read, delete a new email in gmail, etc)

If you get LauncherPro Plus, in v0.8.0.0 dock popups were added. Basically, you'd have to have Handcent in your dock, long press on it and change the swipe gesture to be a Popup for Unread SMS. Once you've done this, swiping over the Handcent icon will bring up a Popup with (for example) your brother's text saying "Yeah". Once you press anywhere else on the screen the popup will close and mark the SMS read and clear it from the notification bar. You can read about it here.

[Q] Messages Question

One thing that has bugged me with nodo/pre-nodo is that if you have mutliple unread text messages, and you use the notification bar to jump into one of them, you cant go back to the messages screen without hitting the menu button first, and then the messages tile. Is there a fix for this in Mango?

[Q] Handcent Constant Notification

Love Handcent, however notifications don't seem to work how I would like them to. I close pop up window, clear notification bar, however unread messages pop back up in notification bar and led starts blinking again after screen timesout to off. Only way I get the led to stop blinking is by marking message read, which I don't always want to do, as I might forget. No other sms notifications on in other apps are active.
Anyone know of settings to make it so the led does not re-blink on screen timeout after closing pop up window (preferred method), or clearing notification bar? I like seeing the green line next to sms for later when I get an actual moment to reply.

[Q] App request/idea - Notifications Pop up

Hello Everyone,
I`ve got an idea of an app to read all the notifications from the android status bar and show them in the pop up window (similar to the iphone) with the buttons to dismiss it or open the appropariate app to deal with the occurence.
I find android status bar notifications a bit annoying due to the need to slide the top bar down and press the actual notification to deal with it or dismiss it.
There are pop ups available for texts and missed calls via third party apps and there are similar ones for notifications from gmail, voicemail and facebook possibly, but I don`t want to instal 10 apps to get all notifications as a pop up.
It would be handy to have an app to read the info about all notifications from the status bar and transfer it to a nice pop up window with simple two buttons to dismiss it (mark as read and remove from the status bar) or to go into the proper app to deal with it further.
There is an app called Vibration Notifier which seems to do a bit of the above - read all of the notifications from the status bar and then remind about them in the set intervals by either vibrating or vibrating and sound. The developer of this app did the job by getting the permission (from the user) to go via android`s accessibilty mode. I`d love to see someone going further that road and do the pop up window.
Has anyone seen such an application or maybe anyone willing to write one?
I`ve got no idea how to do the coding / developing stuff - sorry ;-)
Thanks for any replies.
Tommy.

[Q] How to mark a text message as read if I swipe it away in a notification drawer?

Hi everybody,
All I have is the question in the title No more, no less.
I have Samsung Note 3 and this thing looks freakishly inconvenient to me. Once I get the message (SMS), I can swipe it away after being read just in the notification drawer (the one that can be showed by dragging a finger from the top edge down). For the most occurrences this should be ok, as those messages are short enough. But swiping away doesn't mark a message as read, it just removes the notificatoin from both the notification drawer and the status bar. I can see the unread count if I run Messages app.
So the question is
Is there a way to mark a text message as read if I swipe it away in a notification drawer?
I've googled it, but didn't find anything that helped me. I thought of a kind of XPosed module for that, but no luck with my findings.
Do you know how to do that?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Eugene
The thing is, the notification is just displayed on the status bar, when pulling the status bar down just to read the printed content and when swiping away it doesn't actually indicate that you've read the message.
The messaging application isn't merged with the status bar, its just a notification. So in other words you haven't actually ready the "actual' message you've just taken a glimpse at it.
Also like this you've seen the book of a phone and what it looks like. But you haven't seen the content and actual things inside the box.
So nope, I don't think so? If there is then this feature will be interesting as to how it'll work.

Do you mean there is no direct association between the message and the notification that the Messages app has sent to a system? I mean, is it just impossible to identify which message should be touched in a database if we have a respective notification? At least, unless Messages will introduce a way to carry this out...
Its not impossible, and I mean that the system and messaging are two different components. The system just operates everything but the message is produced with an application. Thus it does not merge with the system. But the notifications code is referred to the system so the system knows when there is a message so it'll display the notification, but when you swipe it off, it doesn't change the messaging state all the messages is stored in the application. Which is a completely different component(object).

Apps notifications disappearing

Good evening at all,
I've already tried to do a forum search, but I did not find an answer.
I use Nova Launcher Pro.
I have a problem with notifications. Notifications work in whatsapps and sms, I see them on the top bar.
Instead, in other apps (calendar, inbox by gmail, netatmo security for example) are not seen. They appear quickly on the screen and then disappear.
Can someone help me?
I've already tried to modify the power saving options, but it does not change anything, even by changing the "special access" menu.
Thank you
guiduz
Have you gone into Nova settings and down to Notification badges, tap that and down on the bottom you will see TeslaUnread and enable the apps you want to get notifications from?
Hello, thanks for the answer.
My problem is of not having notification icons in the status bar for applications (for example the notifications of Netatmo, the security camera app ).
I have notification icons only for messaging programs (like whatsapp, sms etc.). For other apps, I have the only notifications that appear on the screen and soon disappear.
Thanks

Please help me!
About phantom vibrations, today I was in front of my pc when I heard a vibration without notification on the phone and I noticed on the PC that I just had an email, so the ghost notification was due to the arrival of the email!
Im having the same issue, I get a vibration, and a quick flash of a notification.
So if my phone is in my pocket, by the time I get it out the notification will be gone.
Text message, whats app and gmail all seem to work
I dont get google voicemail notifications, group me notifications, let go notifications and a few others...help?
