Same reason why i'm searching for themes i just installed cm6 and the snap kernel

he has a couple which one are you specifically talking about. In general from my understanding if it says works with aosp or cm6 or says "this is an aosp theme" then itll work

WOW! I was JUST thinking about making a thread like this lol. To me the flavoured ice themes seem to be the most polished, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=738691 <--- Check them out here

thx for the link to themes i didnt know about the samsung epic theme i think i might reflash cm6 & snap kernel for that theme (currently using fresh)
didnt know about the flavored ice themes either kudos

only problem im having is how do u install the themes lol

Flash them like you flash the rom. I do a wipe between themes and reflash rom then the theme

you flash them. not sure if you need a full wipe but def cache and dalvik. if it's a large file size, that means the ROM is cooked in so do a full wipe.
here's another set of themes.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=738691
OP, can you update your first post with all of these themes and titles please? then this can be a central location for all themes that work on CM6. thanks!

I installed it from recovery and went to flash new zip and when it booted up. It crashed the phone so i had to reinstall cm6 and the kernel. I didn't wipe though...was that the problem?

awesome. this will prob be my ROM of choice until a few more things are worked out of the MIUI ROM
btw, had a prob flashing the Galaxy S theme. the status bar clock color was black and i kept getting FC's on gmail. so, i'm doing a full wipe, re-flashing CM6, then the theme, booting up, then going back to recovery and flashing gapps (which i'm also about to mod that because there are some apps in there not needed *cough* amazon mp3 *cough*)
edit: also, when i get home i will dig a lot deeper in the themes sub forum to find more because i know they exist. they're just buried. hence why this thread is a great idea
edit2: yeah that worked with the Galaxy S theme. regarding the clock color, that's actually a setting in CM6. loving the Galaxy S theme though. no more FC's
edit3: figured out why i got FC's before. Galaxy S theme adds in some gapps so i was basically installing them a second time.

Nice, the only problem i have is which ever theme i install. I get the roaming triangle =/

This technically doesn't belong here, because it's more than a theme, the rom is included. But it's a themed version of Cyanogen.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=784598

If you use theme porter you can take pretty much any theme and get it to work for whatever rom you're running. Some elements may be missing but i've been getting DINC and N1 themes on my CM6 nightlies for awhile now.
Put the appropriate files in the folders, do the port, then stuff the new files back in to the rom you're gonna flash and flash it. Might need to use clockwork to sign it though since when you modify the rom's zip you probably break the signature and RA won't flash unsigned roms, at least not when i was using it.

Just make sure that if you plan on flashing one of these themes, that you make a nandroid backup before you flash it. Just in case something goes wrong or if you don't like it, you can nandroid back.

I use mattedblue version 1 not a fan of the new one and I also have faded adw theme installed.

ALOYSIUS THEME FOR DAMAGE CONTROL 3.2.3 and FRESH 1.0.0!!!!
____________________________________________
I have created a new Aloysius Theme for those who have updated their Damage Control ROM or FRESH ROM with the latest OTA RUU release. This flashable theme is for Damage Control 3.2.3 and Fresh 1.0.0- so you can just flash this theme right over the top of your current Fresh ROM or Damage ROM....without wiping or loosing your current content and screen setup
This version of Aloysius is slightly different with a slew of newer, more updated taskbar icons....and two new "colorized" applications and color menus, and no more "ear" icon where the battery icon was
1) World Clock
2) Vanilla Clock (for those who like the vanilla lockscreen and would appreciate an alarm clock that shut off in the morning )
If there is a ROM you would like me to create an Aloysius theme for....please let me know and I will do my best to get it up for you

Actually that's a link to his Aloysius ROM based on Fresh. That doesn't give you the ability to Flash his theme onto Fresh's ROM like this thread lets you do with Damage's ROM.
I think that's what the other person was asking.
Is this possible Konikub? Can we get a theme flash for Fresh? Thanks.
How do you get the black dialer because mine is still white

Flashed your theme but mine's still a white dialer? Maybe because I didn't wipe? I was coming from Fresh .3...so that's why I didn't wipe.

I flashed the ClearLockBar if I flash this one will it erase the ClearLockBar? & how bout the ClearTaskBar? Could I have all 3 & do I havta wipe after installing each one?
New update to the damage rom anything need to be updated with this? I really wish you put this together with your clear taskbar and lockscreen as a one shot install package instead of three because each one seems to break the other in one spot or another

[Theme] DarkSmoothie for aospMod ROM (not CM)

Just a quick little theme I made. I will be adding to it when I can. Some future plans are themed ADW and LauncherPro. You should have no trouble flashing this theme. I have flashed it all different sort of ways. Just remember to ALWAYS nandroid and wipe dalvik cache before flashing. Here are some screen shots and you can take it from there.
Some other name suggestions were Dark Yogurt and Dark Freeze. So, those suggestions combined with the fact that I blended a couple of items from 2 other themes and the smooth look (IMO) comes out as DarkSmoothie
Credits:
gomorrah for his blackmod theme - used bits and pieces
signal23 for his XTG theme - used bits and pieces

This theme is designed for aospMod (best ROM IMO)!!!! If anyone wants it for another rom they will need to either do all the grunt work themselves or use ASimmons theme injector. ASimmons would be able to correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe the theme injector will do the xml and smali edits I have done.
This is awesome. I wanted to do one like this as well but I don't know how to change the font color. So I just ported a white one.

yes that is correct, can't port those with the theme injector. Although there is a way to do it, it would be a nightmare to manage even the xml edits. The smali edit would be impossible.
You could possible be able to port colors, but man I've gone through it thinking about how much it would take and wouldn't be easy. What would be sweeter is if you could do it on the fly extract the colors.xml (i think) and then let the alter the color values and insert it back (hmmmmm).

Just thought I would note, this theme looks very nice even if you don't use Sense. I use Launcher Pro Plus and still love the transitions and such. Very nice job. Thanks for sharing. Only thing I miss is in the power control in notification bar lost the ability to turn off data.

First, I want to thank you for this awesome theme.
Second, I tried this theme with AzraelX and SynergyRom3.2 and it is fully working without issues.

loving the theme but only thing I kind of dislike is the blue-overkill... I like the variety of colors like when you open menus and drag down the taskbar, but there's just too much blue. I prefer some icons like gmail to stay red and markeplace icon to stay green so it'd be easier to tell which is which..

sweet i cant wait. only reason i haven't flashed a theme is because they update the rom every night. but i cant wait for an rc so i can flash yours.
Would you guys like me to make the status bar icons (voicemail, text, e-mail, etc) blue or would you prefer me to leave them stock?
You could make them blue I'm with the Guy who asked about the theme working with the theme Chooser within cm7. I think that would make it so much easier to apply the theme.
very noob questions (not familiar with htc, very familiar with moto), but is there a way to flash an AOSP rom (CM7) and still install some of the htc widgets (friendstream, etc)? I also like the htc lockscreen better, and even rosie. I'd love to add them to this theme if possible.

you can have something similar...its carbonite fusion v4...it has sense which is what you're looking for but it doesn't look the same. the answer to youre question, no, this is a senseless rom.

thanks for the response. i know this is a senseless rom, though. my question was, will installing htc widgets (friendstream.apk, for example) work on an AOSP rom or will i get installation errors/force closes?
i guess i could just try it for myself but i was hoping someone else could tell me the answer

No they will not work because you need Rosie which is HTC. Stick around though, anyone who has used my carbonite fusion rom will be in for a treat over the next few days. I am working on some things that will be very similar.

what if I installed rosie.apk as well on an AOSP rom? or would not that work either? I'm guessing no, bc rosie probably needs/has other system files associated with it in order to work
Exactly. Have you tried Launcher Pro Plus? It has a friendstream-like widget. I will be working on theming that as well.

looking forward to seeing your work man!
yea, it's a good widget too. and the calendar widget looks similar to HTC's as well. but i used to get some bad lag/redraws with launcher pro plus on my original droid. prob won't be the case with the Inc. though. I'll go that route when I make the switch to an AOSP rom

I will update the nightlys as I can. For those that are using RC3 I have one for that. I also have an apk for people who like to use the theme chooser app.. If there is anything you would like themed just comment in the thread or send me a PM and I will work on it.

There are two ways to install my theme.
1. Carbonite.apk must be installed through astro file manager or like file manager, once installed it must be applied through the theme chooser app.
2. Pick a theme appropriate to the version of CM7 you are running (RC or Nightly) This must be flashed through recovery just like the Rom and must be flashed after flashing the Rom.
If you are having trouble you might need to wipe dalvik cache.

this looks really nice, any way u could change the keyboard a little? maybe change the smile face in the bottom right and make it the enter/next line key, and the pop up word choices blue?
thanks!
That Blue is hot. Great Job!

awesome, thanks man. im so damn sick of hitting that smiley button.
yea theme looks pretty sik! testing now.
Sweet theme, and the .apk install is awesome, no reboot required!
this is a noob question, but I dont have a clue how to do it coming from launcherpro, but how do I change the stock dock that came with CM7 to your carbon dock?
I like this theme. But the 4g icon is still green not blue. Just a note. If the latest version had fixed this I am sorry. I am downloading it now.

Difficulties with install
I've tried many different ways of doing this theme install after putting CM7 RC4 on from the ROM manager.
first i dl'd the carbonite apk then went to file explorer unzipped to folder on sd and then ran the carbonite.apk ... and the app installs but no difference in look or theme.
second i uninstalled carbonite then installed the cm7 rc4 supersonic then tried running the carbonite.apk thinking that it references that folder... no luck
third tried running the framework apk from the supersonic folder and no luck "Application not installed"
Perhaps i need to install your rom for this to work? Any chance i can get a step by step on which apk to install and where i'm going wrong here. I even tried running the zip from sd card on startup but only some of the theme changed and not all so i wiped and now have a fresh version of the cm7 RC4 from the ROM manager desperately seeking assistance.

After much consideration I have decided not to make flashable themes anymore. The apk for the T-mobile theme engine will be used from now on. It has been a concern by some people how this will affect the lock screen theme as well as other things. I will include a metamorph theme to apply to fix this too.
The advantage to using this method is that I can include things like inclusive skins for paid apps such as Fancy Widgets, Launcher Pro Plus.
The other advantage is that from now on if you update CM7 you do not have to wait for me to update the theme since you already have it, the only extra effort on your part is to re-apply the MM theme.
I hope this will be good foe everyone. At this time I have a few issues I am trying to work out. The main one being the dialer. The theme engine doesn't like to resize the images so it looks bad. My proposition is to add a poll for now to get your ideas. Please vote HERE so I can know what you would like best. For now try the apk and let me know what you think.
