I'm looking for Samsung Captivate parts followers. I need to replace the back plastic housing on my captivate. I accidentally broke the battery door plastic lock.

Dropped inspire

Wife dropped her inspire tonight. Screen isn't cracked but the outer shell did get scratched badly on the side. Is there any way to dissasemble this phone? Do they make replacement parts?

Ruh roh.
I don't think the phone has been out long enough for parts to be readily available. I say this because it's hard to even source a stock battery or the SIM slot cover.
i've used this company for parts in the past... Desire HD Ace parts and a pricey Desire HD/Inspire4G Battery

[Q] Skyrocket Parts for repairs

I'm trying to find somewhere decent that carrys parts for the skyrocket that isn't stupid expensive, i know these digitizer lcd combos aren't all 180+$
my lcd is fine, so what im wondering if anyone has torn one of these bad boys apart, or if they only make the combos.
Any suggestions for websites that have digitizers for the skyrocket would make my day!
Dropped my phone last night, cracked digitizer...derp
same situation on my old black skyrocket... just a digitizer would be nice
So, has anybody been able to find the outer glass only? I can't order the $200 digitizer+lcd... makes no sense...
Prices have gone down a little, they're at 150 now, Google mengtor

I have also been looking everywhere for just a glass/digitizer as I also cracked my glass from a drop after hours of looking around it seems they are still about $150 at the cheapest...

If you can't find a cheap digitizer, you could maybe part it out on eBay and then just buy a whole phone used.
Does anyone know where I can get a main rear camera for this?
Hey y'all. I dropped my white SR a while back and repaired the screen myself. I used http://www.cellphone-repair-shop.com/samsung-skyrocket-sgh-i727/
They have the best prices on parts that I could find. You can do it all yourself too. Just google instructions for replacing the parts.
To repair the LCD/digitizer, you have to replace the entire front, not just the glass. It's an all in one unit, that's why it's so expensive. I followed these instructions: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1758028-How-To-replace-I727-screen
Yup. The digitizer and its circuitry are attached to the screen (glass) with some wicked adhesive. Its an all-in-one piece that is also glued into the carriage. It comes out from the front. Just replaced mine last night lol.

Really surprised with durability of the gs3

I have found myself continously dropping my gs3 due to its slick plastic cover. I even dropped it out of my car while I was cruising 55mph on the highway and it only scuffed up one edge. However my phone is still in perfect operating condition. What's your guys opinoin/experiences on the durability of this phone?

I drop my all the time but I have a uag case. I have a bad habit of holding it in my mouth if I go to use my hands when I just have used it.

I have a case and rarely dropped my phone. The few times I did dropped it I had a case on the phone so I can only speak on the fact that the case did its job in protecting my phone.
My phone seemed really durable too until it took a small 2 foot fall onto a tile floor. Unfortunately it landed perfectly on the edge where the glass meets the frame and wrecked the screen. The glass was slightly chipped, however, the screen below shattered and became worse over the course of a day until it was solid purple.
I spotted mine once from the seat of my truck and it lasted quite well with the potter box, I haven't deployed it with the extended battery and rubber case yet. With the potter box it survived with no damage

Yea I also have the Otterbox commuter and it is a real good case but it is just to bulky for me.

I don't use it anymore because I have a 4400mah extended battery, and I'm a bit Nevis about dropping the wrap around plastic/rubber cases that I can buy for the extended battery

My friends and I were hanging on the patio roof (2 stories) during a party and he dropped his onto the concrete walkway. It just got scratched on the back cover slightly. Screen was perfect/didn't crack. Still works perfect as if out of the box. If that isn't durability, then I dont know what is. He had a cover but it was just an old regular hard plastic case.
Either luck was on his side or this phone is unbreakable.
So, the Samsung s3 is only durable if the device lands flat on its back? Is that what I'm reading?
my tapatalk signature sucks more than yours
I've dropped mine plenty of times, and there's almost zero damage. I don't use a case either... rather impressed, myself.

I have had mine drop hard on several spots, especially corners and the worst that has happened is the back flying off and a couple of dents

Not exactly, somebody knocked my phone out of my hand and it fell about 4 feet onto concrete. Fell right on the bottom left corner and left a big scuff, but nothing else...luckily. All I use is a screen protector.

i have dropped my phone a few times (most often when drunk), it still works perfectly
All phones can crack, but the polycarb on the S3 makes it more resistant than the all glass iPhone or Nexus 4. I wish people would stop complaining about 'build quality' of Samsung phones - its a common myth for many people and blogs, they think Samsung phones are built well or last.
People kept complaining about the back cover being so flimsy but I liked that I could buy a replacement when I dropped my phone and scratched it and that no one would be able to notice the difference.
Prefer the backcover too
yeah, i prefer the backcover. I feel like the whole aluminum back is overrated, you cant replace the battery!
i have been using my phone naked since november and i havent seen any visible imperfections besides i mean scratch i got yesterday. sucks cause it's in the middle of the screen and distorts the colors.
Mine seems pretty durable, I have never used a case aside from the OEM flip case, and I've dropped it from my car to the cement twice now (always forget its in my lap before I get out) and I only have a couple small scuffs on the edges. When my buddy dropped his iPhone 4 the same way getting out of my car the front and back glass cracked like crazy.
The iPhone may feel more sturdy in the hand, but in reality its as fragile as an infant.
Gone thru 2 cracked screen phones already. Both drops less than 2 ft.

http://diggloving.com/original-battery-door-housing-cover-case-for-lg-nexus-4-e960.html google nexus 4 back housing cover
http://diggloving.com/brand-new-lg-nexus-4-e960-back-cover-glass-lens.html google nexus 4 back glass lens
What are the difference?
Go with neither
Neither is good !!
Go with this one guaranteed and including all the parts of The original !!
Just Unscrew, Replace, Rescrew, DONE !!
Can't insert links !! Just Google This code "ACQ86231201"
I wish somebody would just make a plastic back cover. It would be much more durable.

I agree that you should spend the extra $30 and get a complete unit but to answer your question the first one is the back cover and the second one looks to be just the glass that would sit inside the frame.

Yeah I'm surprised this hasn't come about, though I assume it's because of the complexity inherent in swapping the back.

mid frame

hello can anyone tell me were to find the middle bisel part of the samsung galasxy s4 (sgh-i337m) the plated one i need two pieces,, i have drooped my phone to many times

They don't sell the bezel its self alone. You have to buy a a whole new back.
Ebay would be your best option. Just search "Galaxy S4 Housing".

Isant the metal mid frame part of the back, it comes as one piece
I could be wrong

The 'metal' is attached to the mid-frame. Super easy swap. Remove battery cover, remove a few phillips #0 screws, lift out old mid-frame, replace. Ordered mine for $7 shipped (from China) on ebay.
