i have seen many running the fixed NHL mobile app meant for verizone on the evo. everything for the most part works great, but what i really need it for is to watch the nfl redzone channel on sundays. whenever watching the redzone it works fine for awhile, then i always get a spinning verizon symbol and the phone completely locks up. the only way to get the phone working correctly is to remove the battery.
does this happen to anyone else? has anyone figured out how to get this working correctly?
no issues with it all, try this one

If you are on 4g turn it off the app doesn't recognize the signal. It only works on 3g and wifi. Hope that helped.

I can't ever get audio streams of games. I end up just watching games on my desktop via p2p.

I don't know if this has been discussed yet and I might be in the wrong section but something strange happened this morning. I logged in my xm account with the app and usually it works only on wifi because 3g kept giving me a trying to get data connection or something. Anyways its working with 3g now so maybe they finally fixed it on there servers.

I guess I am the only one that noticed this today

The Sirius XM app. Can't get it from the market for some reason...
http://www.siriusxm.com/android/indexd.html
So, I really enjoy this app! Gotta have Ellis mate! But, I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. It doesn't matter if it's on wifi or 3g, the problem still happens. The song will be playing fine and then it either fast forwards or rewinds about 30 seconds and then gets stuck in a loop (playing about 30 seconds of the song) until I change the station. Any ideas or thoughts?

That has happened to me before, but hasn't happened in a while.
It happened to me last night but I noticed that my 3g data works then it stops for a while until I pause it and unpause it

For those of you looking for the app, it is only available directly from the SiriusXM website. Same goes for Sirius Canada and XM Canada apps - have to download it directly from their sites.

Yeah that happens on Android 2.2. I've contacted Sirius about the issue and thats what they said. I listen to Opie and Anthony while I'm at work and when I run 2.2 I get a 30 second loop, so I went back to 2.1 and works fine. Sirius says they are working on it....but it took over a year for Sirius to come to Android so I imagine it'll be a year until they fix the issue.
It still doesn't play over 3g for me.

Yes. Aren't you? That might be the issue then.
I can't even log in to the app. Just says "sorry, try again!"
Can login to the website just fine, but the app is a no go
Looks like they're working on a Froyo update, according to http://www.sirius.com/android

if you have a sirius internet radio subscription, which i'm assuming you all do if you're using the official sirius/xm app, and are having issues with the official app and/or hate the limited content of the official app.....get your hands on WunderRadio from the Market. Yes, its a bit expensive and the UI isn't as good as the official app. But, ALL the content of the desktop browser version of Sirius Radio is available to you. Works on wifi/3g/nog/whatever.
...and Baba-Booey to y'all!

Sweet, man! Just got it and it's been streaming Sirius over 3g for half an hour with no issues.
It always worked over 3G for me, since the day it was released. Not sure why you had problems.
Found this in the EPIC 4G forum:

Works great for me, you just have to read the directions properly.

I tried listening to a game this sunday and did not get an audio stream. Anyone else?
Just a heads-up...there are also a few sites that regularly run feeds of all the NFL games. Since they use Flash video, guess what phone plays them perfectly I got to watch the Ravens (lose) on the way home from the shore this past Sunday. It was nice.
Which sites do you use?

Well, while I don't claim to be innocent of watching unlicensed streams every now and then, I'm not gonna go posting them here Seriously I found one good site after a single Google search and it has had all of the games so far. Basically just links to different people streaming their capture card input on any one of the popular live streaming sites. It's silly that they make it so hard to watch games when it's obviously no replacement for a real HD channel but then again charging out the ass is the hallmark of professional sports so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Gotta sell those overpriced Sunday Ticket packages somehow...

Very true and I'm fine with that but I don't always feel like doing all kinds of hacks to get a Verizon app authorized on my phone when I could just bookmark a page. To each his own I guess.
this works for menial tasks like seeing scores, but streaming crashes my phone running baked snack after awhile. trying to watch redzone on sunday after awhile the program crashes and the only way to get things back to normal is to pull the battery.
I've been trying to run it in 4G but it doesn't log in at all. But as far as running in 3G I can watch view and do anything without any issues. Kinda sucks but I love having the app again.

gotcha, I do that with most stuff, actually like the LIVE TV app just streams to "one of those web pages", so in that sense the app is pretty much useless, just bookmark the pages. I just miss that NFL app on my Sprint phone!!!!!!!!!!!
how could you let verizon outbid you on THIS ONE sprint
Awesome, I was bummed when Sprint launched that piece of crap update to their NFL app; looked like a kids toy. I just got my Evo purring and this app was on my wish list. Thanks for posting!

I actually like the new sprint football app... they really can't do much more than what they have done with it since they lost the rights to the nfl games.
I also love the NFL app... I just know it is temporary and will have to be redone all the time =| I did actually watch my skinz beat the boys on my phone from start to finish without any issues other than hitting deadspots for a signal..was great!
This app works great. Occasionally cuts out here and there, but not bad for the price!
I was bummed to see that Sprint lost the sponsorship to Verizon, glad this works.
So is there any charges or other terms not mentioned as far as paying for this app monthly or is it completely free?

I've downloaded it but am at work and can't watch anything right now. Can't wait to try this out later and catch up on the 2nd episode of Game of Thrones!!!
FYI - If you are on Time Warner, you cannot use this app. It is not supported yet.
But I know they said it was supposed to be available around May 5th.
works great with Comcast
Works great on DirecTV.. this is the kind of thing 4G was made for..
Works great on COX, this app freaking rocks. HBO is the ****! I've been using 3G and have no issues!! Every episode of the sopranos from the pilot to the last episode of the last season!!
Working great on Fios as well..
great app hope to see more free alternatives to netflix like this.
No go for cablevision. Bummer.
I can't download it
For some reason, it says that my TB is incompatible with this App, anyone else having that issue?

Nope up and running on mine, downloaded and installed just fine from the Market earlier today.
Does anyone have the app running? Can someone dl it and see if it will let you register? Mine is having problems.
i had the trial running for a day or 2. then it asked me to activate it. since im a comcast user, it wouldnt let me. i think if youre using verizon fios, or regular internet, you can activate it. i think i will borrow my buddy's log-in info for his fios to activate my watch-espn.
just a side note, there are way better sites for watching sports, now that we have flash player on the Tbolt.
Everything works fine for me, I have Verizon FiOS. Streams live, good sound, good quality.
Like what?

atdhe.fm - my favorite. lots of everything
stopstream.tv - this one plays more of the popular games
espn3.com - the espn official online site. works good, but not a great selection.
rojadirecta.es - this one is kinda tricky, cant scroll on the phone, but can tether and then watch it on the laptop.
there is a few more. i just cant remember right now. got to dig through my bookmarks
veetle.com is another one. they have a mobile version of the site as well.
Hey, I just came over from ATT to Verizon but I kept with the sgs3 however I'm trying to use my HBO go app to watch HBO and it won't let me choose time warner as a provided... it keeps giving me an error but I was just watching HBO go on my ATT sgs3 like 30 mins ago. I have uninstalled reinstalled rebooted...anyone have any ideas? Please, thank you.

I've never used HBO GO, but just installed and was able to choose Time Warner Cable as my provider. Switched to my actual provider and signed in without a hitch.
Sorry, I can't seem to replicate that issue here - but, it does actually seem to allow Time Warner logins on Verizon phones.
I did all this while connected to WiFi, if that makes a difference.

The app is not working too well with Verizon, it's kind of working today, but not the next day, very frustrating. We just have to wait until they fixed the stupid app.
Well thank you both very much for the response I guess I'll just keep trying.

Is this problem only happening on the Verizon network, then? Have you tried watching/registering over WiFi as a test?
I just checked and HBO GO has Settings -> Preferences with an option on how to connect for Video Playback, for example. The default for me said "Wi-Fi Only" and it went back to that setting even after I told it to also use the phone network last night. Hm . . .
EDIT: Just set the Video Playback value to also use the phone network (which they list as "3G", even though my connection is 4G) and it played back "X-Men: First Class" without a problem.

Okay, this is interesting. I would never think that carriers would have an impact on an app working on the same devices, but it seems to be the case. When I first got my device, stock unrooted, hbo go would not work, opening the app up it would say not compatible with device, but yet I was allowed to download from the play store!? You tell me?
Now running custom roms with all vzw crap frozen, it works just fine. And YES, Time Warner Cable is an option.
So it breaks my f***ing heart to yet again give a big old FU to Verizon and their borderline Apple antics. Wtf vzw, we pay you well to bend us over any time you can. And I said I'd never grow up to be a Whore, thanks Verizon....

That's really weird, as I was testing after seeing this thread and HBO GO installed from the Play store fine, configured with my (non-Time Warner provider) fine and streamed fine. I'm pure stock, having rooted and unrooted a few times for specific needs.
Maybe HBO GO has since been unblocked by Verizon since the OTA, assuming it was blocked before?

Strange thing is I got it working. All I did was make my friends vzw phone a not spot and then connected to it. The all then allowed me to login and now that I'm already logged in I can use the network to actually watch the shows now... did the same thing to get watchespn working...very strange.
