Hi. I just bought an Xperia X10 mini pro phone with Android 1.6.
I'm new with Android OS and I have a few questions:
- is it possible to upgrade the current OS to Android 2.1 or 2.2 and how?
- should I upgrade it, will it then get locked on my vendor?
Thanx in advance for your answers

I have Lollipop 5.0.2 on both my Z3 phone and Z2 tablet. Just today, 5/5/15, I`m showing a notification for another small update however before I install it I want to be sure it will not break root. Anyone have any information regarding the new update? Thanks.
It did not break root on my Z3 atleast. Everything working as before the update.
Best regards

Hello, and welcome to XDA! There is a rooting thread for the Z3 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056. Do make sure that your device version corresponds exactly to the ones featured there.
Good luck!
