Hi,
I'm not sure if this is where i'm supposed to ask for help, buttt, I just rooted my Telus Milestone using TheUnlockr and it has lost its network and won't connect to AT&T no matter what i do. Any help? Thanks!
Did you register it to the network / redo your APN settings?
Did you lose your unlock?
Yep, I tried doing the APN and registered it with the network, no luck. I think I did lose my unlock. I bought it unlocked, so i'm not sure how i have to unlock it again.
I just unrooted it by putting a Telus 2.1 firmware on there using RSD Lite and it connected to AT&T again. Is there a root that will work with the Telus Milestone? Because I really want to put MotoFrenzy on my phone. Thanks.
Did you try to apply a baseband update after the rooted rom u applied? there is a possibility that the Rom u flashed wasnt for the frequencies where u are..

Hi everyone. A bit new to flashing roms but thanks to the very helpful guides I was able to flash the Energy rom onto my phone. I bought an unlocked Verizon Touch Pro 2 with GSM capabilities and I want to run it on the Tmobile network.
After flashing the Energy rom, do I have to change any settings to get my voicemail and texting to work? Will it automatically detect from the SIM? Or should I flash a Tmobile radio onto the phone?

DONT EVER FLASH A T-MOBILE RADIO...you will have a brick....
you will have to use the sim unlocker from htc-unlocks or get it unlocked by verizon global support.

I bought D2G, first, it was locked. I unlocked it via some webside's code which works fine. Now I have unlocked carrier which is perfect, but I still not able to enable data. I'm central europe ussing O2 carrier. I've checked that phone has specification gprs/edge/3g. I've also try to upgrade to ginger but no change. Still not working
Have you at least added the APNs?
Hello Yuno, thanks, I know I miss this setting, but not able to find it . Now it works . Set same as on my old HTC wildfire

I just bought a Samsung Focus unlocked from rogers. I use Telus, and the previous owner of this phone was telus as well
My problem is everything works except the DATA, he did a factory reset on it, would that screw up the unlock and not allow me to get data from Telus? I am an android guy who knows nothing about windows haha. Please help me out!

did you enter the apn values for telus in settings/cellular?
I also had to go into the engineering menu and change the apn too (I'm on telus using a bell LG quantum)
Moved to Q&A
appreciate it! , i found the telus settings for the apn and just had to input them and voila, working like a charm now.
Thanks!
I recently Purchased a Rogers Samsung Galaxy LTE (SGH-1727r)
I want to root/unlock the phone. If I do this, Will I be able to use the phone on the Bell/Telus network?
It is my undrstanding that I would nee to purchase an unlock code from one of the various websites. Would I also need to get an active "pay-as-you-go" SIM card in order to unlock it? Or am I able to make due with the Bell/Telus SIM cards I have from my other phones?
If u root and unlock, yez, u can use this phone with telus and bell.
Purchase an unlock code online and once its sim unlocked, root it and install CWM. You don't necessarily need a custom rom for the rest but if u do I recommend TPC v3 or MHX-Superlite 3.0.
Flash the telus vk1 radio in cwm and you're good to go.
Thanks
Thanks for the quick reply. It can be a little overwhelming at first.
I can confirm this I have my i727r running on the virgin network right now which is run by Bell. Just need to get the unlock code or take it somewhere to get it unlocked.
I rec'd a SM-G920W8 model from my cousin. Its on Fido but I have a Rogers SIM card. I would like to simply unlock the phone and use it on Rogers instead and if possible, update the phone to a newer ROM/Android version but to have it still on Rogers after the fact. The phone has following details:
Android Version: 5.1.1 (stock)
Baseband: G920W8VLU3BOJ7
Im sure there are a guides for this on here, I did find one for a bootloader unlock from Mr. X on here, but I wasnt sure which bootloader file to download and thought I would ask if someone could please point me to the right direction as I simply dont want to brick a phone.
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated by this newbie!
Thanks!
Are you sure it needs to be unlocked? Telus and Koodo phones as well as Bell and Virgin work on either network without unlocking.

You are right!
I just did what you suggested and its working now. I didnt think this was possible as the last Fido phone I had I had to unlock it.
Thanks for the suggestion! Much appreciated. I guess if I wanted to now just install a new ROM or update the Android platform on it, I can do that.
Yes. I'm running stock nougat on mine. It still receives updates ota without issue despite being a telus phone on koodo. I can root it and install a custom Rom anytime but it works fine and I don't want to wipe it right now. Too much important data. Online dating and texting several different girls I need to keep all my texts for future reference lol.
