Besides my own (which I keep in an Otterbox Commuter), I've seen 3 people out in the wild with N1s. 1 used it commando, the other 2 used just the included sleeves.
I'd have thought there'd be more protection out there for our beloved N1s.
I've been using the innocase surface since day one and I just recently moved up to the rugged. It's kinda fugly but i'm confident that this thing could stand up to a tank now!
I value the feel of the Nexus One itself. I used to have a big old case for it but I just use the sleeve now. I think people take for granted how useful, protective, convenient, and less bothersome the sleeve really is.
I found the Otterbox case to be too bulky. I found a clear plastic case at T mobile that snaps on the back and almost makes it look like it's commando but still protects.
The sleeve works but is a hassle to use and keep track of. I used it for about 2 months. You wont know how much trouble it is until you try a phone case.
Next I got a hard rubber case (<$5)... it did not offer much drop-protection and the rubber cracked and chipped off in a month.
Next I got a no-label black gel case (<$5) and its the best I've used so far. Excellent drop-protection. Good grip too compared to the above two.

I've had plenty of all sorts of cases. Another main reason I like the sleeve is that it keeps dirt, lint, dust and any other kind of small particle that may be in your pocket or on your desk that can (and does, somehow) get caught in between the case and the phone. I also use a stealth guard clear wrap on it.

Those offer only scratch protection, the screen protector is useful though. $2.85 shipping
I use a gelish case from Boxwave. I like it because it fits well, isn't too big, and will still slide in/out of a pocket unlike the silicone ones. I'm not using a screen protector because I'm afraid it would make the phone difficult to use. So it's always in my pocket alone facing my leg. Not a single scratch on the screen in six months.
the included neoprene case with the awesome Android logo on it is highly under rated... i'm so glad I stuck with it instead of purchasing a gel case or any other - those cases offer nothing in terms of protecting the nexus one from water damage.
case in point, out at a gig the other night - some bozo who was part of a group i went out with spilled half his beer (at leasy 175ml of liquid) directly all over my nexus one. if it wasn't for the neoprene case, it would have been dead for sure! take the phone out of the case, dry as the desert - the neoprene case was soaked (i squeezed out at least 100ml in beer back into the bozos bottle)
it's also pretty good protection against drops - i've dropped my nexus from a height of over a metre at least three times with no adverse damage
neoprene stock case ftw!

Thats a sleeve, not a case.
It does offer a lot of protection but at the cost of unnecessary extra work. You cant see the LEDs, makes it hard to hear the phone's notification/ringer.
Using a Commuter Otterbox. First sexy case I've seen so far for the Nexus. Had it shipped all the way from the US. I live in Malaysia btw. Lol. Must say, worth every cent. Cuz I dropped my phone once and there's a few scratches. Bleh. Sadness much. The case brings back lots of joy. Lol.

I was wondering... I had my phone without a case for the first month and it still looked perfectly new by the time my case came in. Does anyone else have a case on their phone?
If so, what case do you use? I know there's already a cases thread, but this is different. Thanks!
i use a dhd otterbox defender.its awesome cause i work construction and its saved my phone a few times
I do use a case, but I dont like big bulky cases nor do i like wearing a clip on my belt.
I got one of those cheapy TPU cases on ebay. Gives enough protection from minor bumps and scratches, but I doubt it provides any shock protection like the otterboxs or casemate models.
i use the bodyglove mirage tpu case. i like it, not too bulky. only problem is i noticed that it effects my GPS signal. dosnt stop it completely. but in my house, with the case ON, i cant get a lock better than about 35 feet. with the case OFF, it will drop down to 16 feet. while it dosnt make GPS unusable, it def makes it less accurate. driving, i noticed with the case on, maps will say accurate to 10 meters, if i take the case off, it immediatley drops to 3 meters. meh, i dont honestly use GPS that much, so i figure if i need to i will just take the case off.
I use a case for the peace of mind of not worrying about scratches. Phone is already big enough, so the thinnest possible case is sufficient for me. I use the Case-Mate Barely There in black matte.
Case Mate Tough for me. The one for the Inspire, of course. It's a solid case with a good look to it. Might take a look at it. But no screen protector yet. They are always sold out.

barely there case from case-mate I hate big bulky cases
I use the Platinum Hard Case/Holder. They look and work like the Seidio. Worked well when I had the Captivate.
Just wanted to chime in to say that the metal that the Inspire is made out of seems to be very scratch resistant. I leaned up against a metal cooler's edge at work (The very corner) and my phone was in a belt clip holster. I leaned with about half my body weight before i realized it was right on my phone, and when i backed away i saw a long white mark on the back of my phone and i thought the worst. I rubbed it a little bit with my thumb and it went away immediately, im not quite sure how or why but there was no mark at all!
This is the nicest phone I've owned... Having it wrapped in a DHD Otterbox Defender is great for peace of mind.
Great slim case...

This is the case I use. They were so cheap I bought a bunch. It protects everything really well.
I use the speck case not big not bulky no clip its a hard case and fits like glove.

using a case similar to the barely-there model, purchased from ebay. so far it's holding up well.
I had a case and returned it. Too bulky. Now I have a full body skin on it. Will it protect the phone from a drop? Probably not. Best not to drop it
Odds are I'll sell this phone in a year or two when the next latest and greatest is available.
Thanks everyone for the replies! I just wanna say... I took my phone out of its case for a day (CaseMate Barely There), and my friend drops it while playing a game. There's now a scratch on it (it fell on the floor of a workshop).
Also, regarding a comment I saw about what the phone is made out of; you mentioned that there was a white line on it that made you think it was scratched. Boy, that's happened to me so many times! I always get scared, but I'm surprised at how tough the phone is. But this time the mark is permanent, so don't always depend on the toughness of the phone... I'm putting the case back on right now. Never taking it off again
Again, thanks for the replies. I'm with most of you in saying that the phone is already big enough as it is; that's why I got the Barely There, because I didn't want anything making the phone too much bigger.
Pt Series Case
I work at BB and picked up my Inspire 4G yesterday, so far I've used it in the Pt Series Case from BB. I got it really cheap and it isn't half bad. I will be keeping a case on my Inspire because I ran my Nexus One out of a case for upwards of 6 months, and I dropped while it was in the slip skin and it nicked the top of it. My dad has my N1 now, and is using a Case-Mate tough case. I plan on picking up the DHD version to try out for my Inspire next paycheck!
Oh and the little belt clip is a nice feature!
I've long gotten over the worries of scratching my cases. I can see the use of an otterbox for those who worry about drops, but it's like sweating the first scratch you get on a new car. It's gonna happen. I don't really care about resale of my phone, I usually just pass it down for cheap to a friend in need (who hasn't upgraded in like 2 years) and they are more than happy to accept it as is. I can't imagine the folks with OCD bad enough to pamper their phone so much it never gets any wear. There's no enjoyment in technology that way!
I personally go for a screen protector film and a thin/light back side case that allows for the best access to top/side buttons.
Same here barely there from CM
Protects and not bulky

I used to have an InvisibleShield for my Samsung Captivate, but I didn't like it for many reasons.
One of the reasons was that I'm big into photography. Whatever Zagg used to make the screen protector stick greatly deteriorates the quality of the screen, and it bothered me.
Also, it makes the screen a lot more rubberized than most screen protectors. A lot of people say that the texture bothers them, but I think that's bullcrap... I can see the textured difference, but can't feel it and don't really care. On the other hand, the fact that my screen feels like sticky rubber bothers me.
Anyway, I try to steer clear of Zagg stuff now. I will recommend it though, if that makes sense. It's 100% quality stuff, and does stand up to its claims in protection. But I have my own personal reasons for not wanting to use it myself.
Being the case junkie that I am, I've experienced quite a few cases for my Inspire.
This is just to try to help anyone in deciding what case to get or not get. Also, if anyone is interested I'm selling some of these that I've used only for a day or so, I'll explain later in this post. These are ranked from my least favorite to most favorite. So, lets begin.
6. Speck Candyshell- Although many people are big fans of Speck, I just felt like they produced an clunky, ugly case for the phone. It basically added a second bezel to the Inspire and I really didn't like the look or feel. Although the protection is decent, it is way over priced and the aesthetics just don't do it for me. I actually returned this to the AT&T store the same day I bought it.
5. Seidio Surface II- Probably the most annoying case I've owned. Once I put it on, it took me over two hours to learn the 'trick' to getting it off. Although I like the soft touch finish and the protection is good for a sleek case, the hassle of taking it off and the ugly back camera cutout annoy me.
4. Otterbox Defender- Alas, the Defender. While I can say I felt like my phone was virtually indestructible with this case on, it was just a bit too much. I couldn't fit the phone in my jeans pocket and it would get covered with lint due to the rubber outer case. The screen protector scratched easily and felt strange as well. The protection though is a major selling point and probably a good investment for someone without an insurance policy. Protection good, making my phone a rubbery brick, not so good.
3. Otterbox Commuter- While it is much slimmer than the Defender, the Commuter offers decent protection with a few flaws. I really am not of fan of the plastic backing of the case, it's slippery and feels very fragile to me. Also, the port cover for the usb and headphone jack is annoying to maneuver in place and often times falls out. The case is decent protection and slim, but there are those couple things that bring it down.
2. Trident Aegis- It's protection + good looks + a decent price. The Aegis offers Defender-like protection in a variety of colors in a modern, attractive design. There is basically nothing wrong with this case besides the impossible-to-avoid-bulk and the semi-challenging installation.
1. My favorite case I've used to date: Case-Mate Tough. So far, this is perfection for me. It's sleek, it's protective, it has got a nice grip finish, it's everything without the trade-offs. You can bet that my phone rests in my Tough as I type this. It's the best of every world and it's even a value! I got mine for $16 shipped on eBay.
So, if you're in the market for a case and you stumble upon these, maybe you'll take my opinions into account, or maybe you wont. Thanks for reading.
Thanks for the reviews. I am using the seidio convert and like the defender, it is a bit much. I may have to try the case mate tough.
Again, thanks for the time to review these and the money spent lol.

Haha, I am also an accessory whore, I have about 20 cases for my iPod touch 4th gen(Not that I use it all) and Currently only own about 5 cases for my Inspire and about 20 micro usb cables...
I was looking into getting the otterbox defender, considering I have their case on every device I own besides my Inspire, but your review tempted me to not get it...
Thanks for doing the work for me
otter
only one i've tried was the otterbox commuter and I really like it... but you're right.. the usb cover can be annoying at times
thanks for the reviews though... i might try out the case mate tough soon
I have the s line case from eBay. It is very small which means it prolly isn't the greatest protection but it fits into the pocket perfectly and isn't super gelly and stretchy.
Best part is its 5 dollars and offers nice grippy sides.
Seidio Surface II it is useless when trying to use an screen protector. I have try both clear coat and skinomi and it pulls both from the edges. DO NOT BUY !! I will give a shot to one of the Otterbox.
+1 for the Case Mate Tough Case, have one on my Nexus One and my Inspire, haven't looked back

+1 for the Otterbox commuter. I couldn't agree more with your review on that. I'm still a huge fan of it though....even aside from the annoying rubber piece near the bottom of the device lol.
I have the HTC Inspire Casemate Tough case, and it is AWESOME! It's a bit of a ***** to get the battery out when you have those times, but other than that, I love the dual-layer design, and awesome grip that it provides. Definitely better than the Body Glove case I bought for my Captivate.
I have been using the Casemate tough since I got my phone in the middle of May. I must say that I do like the way it feels. I don't think it is too bulky. Feels just right. Only thing I do not like about the case is the bottom rubber piece on the front side of the phone. It is flimsy and moves!
I just got the Otterbox Commuter and I like how it looks, but the back is too slick for me as well. I like how the bottom piece of the rubber is stopped in place by the plastic hard shell.
To give an idea of what I mean to some, I place my phone in my left pants pocket. Top pointing down. When I go to grab my phone, I tend to pull it by the bottom piece of the case like I used to do with my iPhone. Granted I have been getting accustomed to not doing that with the inspire due to its bigger shape, it is still a little annoying that the little rubber piece on the casemate is like that.
Does anyone have a suggestion on a similiar case?

So if removal was not a factor, would the Seidio be higher in your ratings? Also, do either the Seidio or CM Tough hang up like a silicone cover when you remove them from your pocket?
Thanks for the comparison.

I agree with the OP about the candyshell speck case. It's waaaay to bulky and almost doubles the size of the phone. At first I gungho over it but now I can't stand it lol. I wish phone manafactuers would make the body more tough because the look of this phone is soooo sexy

Cannot agree more! I too have been using this since I got the phone in mid-May and have been liking it so far. The other thing that I do not like is the inside rubbery protection tends to catch a lot of lint when put in the pockets. Other than it, the case is solid with a good look and feel.
i'm waiting on my commuter
i'll post some comments
Have any of you tried the Casemate Pop?
I have two Otterbox defenders and you are right about the lint problem, it drives me nuts but I have to admit that I don't mind the bulk. I came from a 5 year old WM smartphone that was a brick without a case, haha. So I don't mind a bulky phone.
The only reason I got the defender was that it has the plastic hinges for snapping it into adapters, so you can purchase mounts for it and put it in your car with a satisfying "click". That and I decided to opt out of insurance, since adding 6$ a month and a 150$ deductible seemed silly to me.
The phone is extremely slippery without any cover on it and the bottom half of the phone (where the antenna is) will crack or dent with the slightest impact because it is hollow.
The next thing I am going to build is a custom dock for the car, I just wish I didn't have to dismantle the entire dash to add an FM modulator to the antenna line . I have a bad habit of breaking plastic fasteners and rivets.
Thanks for the reviews, ill be avoiding the defender cases because of their size.

I really like the looks and feel of it....But.....
My GPS has def took a hit....Took a LOT longer to get a lock....sometimes it never did....
On the times I couldnt get a lock I took it out of the case and within 5 seconds...Bam...Locked on..
I heard the seidio has no effect on GPS signal...I guess Ill give it a try..
Had the innocase II on my Nexus one with no ill effects..

Just ordered a Defender, should be here in a day or so. Bulk doesn't bother me, I carried my last phone with a projector attached to it. I'm a mechanic and really want the best protection I can get. Know what you mean about those plastic clips.
For an FM modulator, I like the Motorola T505. It clips to your visor and you can use it to stream music and as a speakerphone. It just won't charge or hold your phone. Upload some pics when you get your dock finished though.
If the Sedio wasn't so difficult to remove it would be higher up, although it still scratches easily and allows a lot of dust to build up under the case. I've been soley using the tough since this post and my inspire has taken some nasty spills with no harm done at all. Also, I just took off my screen protector last week and have found using the phone without one is so much better. Anyone else agree?

Case mate barely there for me. I've always liked the minimal amount of casing and have been lucky enough so far to never need anything more. Anything bigger than this case seems too bulky for me. It's a quality case and has a nice matte feel to it.

I'm currently using the Trident Aegis Case, which is getting a little stale - was hoping for something new.
I hear it scratches pretty easily. It's also VERY overpriced. I'm kinda tired of my Aegis too. I've been looking for some nice TPU cases, I'll probably end up going with the G2x Hybrid Case.

Could you point to the "Hybrid Case" you're talking about? I just finished skimming through an older topic about the Speck Case and quickly crossed it off my list lol. After reading about the scratch problem, I know my OCD will get the better of me.
Yes it scratches and scuffs up pretty easy for sure. Definitely very overpriced too, fortunately mine was free. Anyway it's a very sturdy and reliable case. Fits perfectly and the built-in buttons work just fine. Every input is accessible. It looks nice on the phone too. I honestly would have considered paying in full for it if I didn't get it for free.

Never dropped my phone on pavement with the Speck case and the case looks like it was thrown in a blender.
I bought a speck
Worst decision ever. After about a week, the front rubber bezel trim material started peeling off, it scratches quite easily and starts to look like complete ass about a month after owning/using it. Bought it direct from T-Mobile and they wouldn't exchange it within 30 days. I'm very responsible when it comes to taking care of phones, it goes in and out of my pocket. That's all, folks. Would not recommend a Speck case to anyone, unfortunately. I saw them at CES 2012 and it looked like they were catering to the mass iPhone population, and had no useful advice. I have the black with grey trim. Also, you have to use very slim headphone plugs. 1/5 Stars.
Wow... I'm staying far, far, far away from this case then.

I bought one used on ebay cause yea, the cost of new is horrid. I didn't care about minor scuffs/scratches cause i cared more about utility and protection (also the hard shell 2 piece i had was a major pain for when i had to pop the battery), this one is very easy to remove if needed. 40$ new or 7.99 used with free shipping here http://bit.ly/yE1cLQ yea i took it for 8 bucks and am quite pleased. No issue with peeling rubber or any of the likes (even though used)
I dont care if the back is scuffed or scratched a bit cause quite frankly, i dont look at the back side of my phone often, and im not accustomed to placing my phone screen down. power button and volume keys are stiff but still easy to manipulate. if i had bought the case new for 40+$ id rate it a 6/10, but for 8$, Ill give it an 8/10.
I've had the speck hard shell case on my phone since it first came out and I love it! Being a mechanic, I'm not easy on my phones at all lol. But I must say, this has to be the best case I've ever used. Its very strong, and has saved my phone from 6ft drops with ease (oops lol). But from what I've seen, yea the black outer shell scratches but I could care less, it serves its purpose. Keeps my phone safe from falls and whatnot, and also keeps it clean from my dirty hands haha.
i using this case . It make my phone invincible from any dropping .Unfortunately,it scratches easily. I bought mine from ebay ,where have the great deal
I had the tmo speck rubberized case, it was nice for awhile, but since it uses different plugs depending if its in your pocket or on your belt, the pocket plug rubber came off in a month, then after 3 Months the whole rubber backing fell off... not worth the $30 IMO.

I had the black Speck case along with the black/blue Trident Aegis, and frankly, I kinda like the Speck a little more.
I liked that it was slimmer than the Aegis, and easy to take off of needed, decent amount of protection though, the Aegis could clearly protect it loads better. There were scratches sure, but I put Vans stickers or any other of my favorite brands and that minimized it.
But I got mine off of eBay for $20 new, same as the Trident Aegis, and I was happy to have them.

Stay away from those speck candyshell case. They look really nice during the first few weeks of usage, but get scratched up wayyy to easily. After a while (3 months for me) the plastic edges started peeling off, and along came the broken power button cover. Go with Trident Perseus case. The best imo. I have a full body protection for my phone and thats the only case that doesn't mess up the skin cover
Have a couple of these for my phone. They actually work very well and fit nicely. My phone came with one and I decided to buy another. Nice thig is the more you buy the more color combinations you can come up with. Here are a few pictures. To fin just type (Samsung i727 hybrid) into ebay and search through all the different colors. Not bad for under $10

Cool idea mixing n matching. My girl has one of these on her skyrocket. Good case indeed for the price.
I've seen them, but didn't give them too much thought because they seemed "cheap" in the sense of net being very good. Thanks for the real world update! :good:
I have been looking around for a good case, i had the otter box and its a great case but hard to get in and out of your pocket..... does the rubber on this case make it dificult to slide in and out of your pocket?
I recommend everyone take a look at the Ballistic Case line. I haven't found anything with this much protection. Check the Nexus S variant on Amazon for awesome reviews. TPU backing makes sliding in and out of your pocket a breeze.
The rubber corners that go a bit in front of the screen are without a doubt the best protection I've ever come across. No worries at all about any future drops, the extra few mm of bulk are worth it without a doubt.

I havent found any issues at all going in and out of my pocket. Being the skyrocket is very light (compared to my htc vivid) i would think that drops with this case would be more than effective at protecting it. This combined with a good screen guard is pretty good. Once and a while if you take your phone out of your pocket quickly you will notice the rubber on one of the corners might start to come off but it happens very rarely and its easy to pop the phone back in. I never liked the silicone cases but with this having the solid support that wraps around on all 4 sides it works very well. It also protects to hard keys on the sides and both the charging port and headphone jack. I like it better than the speck case i had for my vivid.
I am very anal about what I buy to protect my devices and I am inpressed with these. I will be buying one every payday until I have all the different colors that I want. I think I paid 7.99 with free shipping and had it here in 3 buisness days. Don't get me wrong though if you are very tough on your phone then I would recommend the Otter Box, Speck Candy shell or the Casemate Tough Series. But for most people these are more than satisfactory. Th rubber on the corners are pretty tough like that of the balistic cases. The case is just thick enough to keep the sensitive homekeys on the bottom from touching your face during a call.

I heavily disagree about Ballistic brand cases being easy to take in and out of pockets....my gf has one for her I727 and it's impossible to take in and out of pockets, puraes, etc.
That being said, that case has survived quite a few nasty falls. The protection is the best I've seen.

Perhaps. The in/out of pocket is really a relative opinion unfortunately since some consider any resistance a huge annoyance. I can see the corners being an issue though, especially if you like to keep the phone in front Jean pockets.

To be honest I'm not sure which will fit. I had the otter box and the pt case combo for my inspire and I didn't like either one. Just gets in my way a lot. I like having it in my pocket anyways. Feels safer that way. If you do find one that fits could you please share for other members that like the combo.
They are on Amazon for 7.00 + 3.00 shipping.

Is there a built-in screen protector on any of these cases? Some of the descriptions are unclear, and a built-in would be nice. Having to adhere one to the screen makes my Otterbox Defender unusable, as it would peel the protector off every time.
My mom bought one of these off ebay for her Galaxy S2 and she really liked it. I was considering one for my Skyrocket, but I ended up getting a standard silicone case. I've always had problems with my phone sticking in my pocket. This hybrid case was easier to get in and out of pockets but the rubber parts on the corner did stick a little. After a couple of months, though, I noticed that the plastic part of this hybrid case had cracked in several areas. I'm not sure how it got cracked, because she hasn't dropped the phone or anything. If anyone is interested I can try to post pictures, assuming I can find where she put the damaged case.
I'd definitely be interested in seeing that. I took my Defender off last night (found it was causing some heat issues with ICS) and put a Zagg screen protector on, which more or less rules out the possibility of using the Defender again. I'm torn between one of the other Otterbox cases or a handful of these.
I have this cheapo http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Kicks...423428?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2a1fef9d04
very similar type of design with the built-in kickstand. Personally the rubber hasn't given me any issues.
FYI, you can find virtually all of these cases on Amazon for less (including shipping) than eBay. Just search "i727 hybrid". If you're planning to mix and match, keep an eye on the manufacturers. Mybat and Case-Xpro seem to be the same company (or, at least, identical designs), but Dragoncell, which makes the cases shown in the OP, uses a different size of plastic mesh than Mybat/Case-Xpro do.
I'm going to order one Dragoncell, one Mybat and one Case-Xpro and see how much I like each. I'll post results here. I mean, $25 for 3 cases (incl. shipping) isn't much to complain about.
Looks like at&t is clearing out inventory for the atrix HD which is good news for us: )

Same deal for the red Speck case http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/accessories/cases/sku5390237.html#fbid=hDmTJBTHHgN.
I can confirm that I purchased both cases for $10.60 shipped a week or so ago. They both arrived and are perfect!
How do you like the spec case? I got the otter one, it's nice, but I think it's a little too thick, is the spec one slimmer? Thanks.

The Speck case is a very nice case, I've used these Candyshell cases on a number of phones and have always liked them. I wouldn't say that it's much slimmer than the Otterbox case, but I like the feel of it a lot more. Somehow it feels more solid (likely because it's one piece). Also, the Otterbox has what I find to be a slick back that often slides out of my hand (and makes me, oddly, glad to have that Otterbox on it when it falls to the ground, lol). The Speck case has a nicer back that isn't as slick.
The only issue I tend to worry about with the Speck case is that the cutouts for ports and such tend to include very thin pieces of plastic along the edges. On past phones, I've had these break and render the case no good. So far, the case for this phone seems to be much better on that front. For what it's worth, in the past AT&T has always given me a new case when the one I had broke. For that matter, Speck has as well.

I bought the speck case a while ago and it ended up breaking in multiple spots. It probably wasn't a good idea for me to switch cases so many time so that might have been the problem but the bottom piece of plastic near the speaker broke. And some of the actual plastic shell broke near the top of it as well. I love the case and the red was definitely really appealing to me since it stood out. But since it broke i was struggling to find a case that i like. And so when i saw this on here i jumped on the opportunity to buy it since i already have the defender. I actually love this case. It is about the same thickness as the speck case but i do like my otterboxs. But i do find it annoying how it is so slick it is on the back because it does tend to slip out of my hands. But other than that it is the only complaint
Thank you for posting this! I have been waiting to get a good deal on an Otterbox case since I bought my Atrix 2 back in March.

I've had the same trouble on cases for past phones. No trouble on this one yet, but for 5 bucks why not eh.?

Ya i totally agree with you. It isn't too big of a deal. And considering it is $35 off on a $40 case i jumped on the opportunity. This is by far one of my favorite cases though. It is protective but not too bulky, kind of like the Speck case. Just kind of wish we had the option of picking the all black one, but it is fine.
