Hey Guys!
Ok, I have a Samsung SCH-i760 with WM6.1 and SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 installed. I was wondering if it was possible to change the look of the status bar on top? I can't stand the blah look anymore! I know it's gotta be possible, because in a lot of the apps I have on there it changes looks. For instance S2P Music Player changes it to look like the iPhone. Does anyone know of a cab or something? If not, would anyone be interested in creating one? Please help!

Why not just try "Search"? With keywords like WM6.5, taskbar, themes, wvga... you might get upon interesting ones.

I installed the black taskbar, but the icons didn't change. The taskbar is black now, but i like your icons too

ady_uaic - I am looking at the screenshot on the link with interest - esp the task bar icons - can you please advise where those have come from ? Am I right in thinking is Wisbar Advance (or similar) or is there another app somewhere to achieve that look ?

can you get the taskbar that is similar to the espresso theme working on the sense 2.5
I've seen a variety of screenshots of HD2s with alternate status icons (like the ones shown in this post's screenshots: forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4871358). I've searched and searched and I can't find out how to customize these from the standard, simple, ugly white stock ones. Any tips appreciated!

You can either continue to search for somebody that has done it and released the files. Or you can start looking into modding the manila files yourself to what you want. The files are not unique to the Leo any WinMo 6.5 notification icons will work.
Thanks for the info. I'm brand new to Windows Mobile and the HD2 so I'm not sure I'm up for trying to make my own mods yet. I'm trying to learn from what others have done and then hopefully be able to give back later.
So, are these things typically referred to as 'notification icons'? I found some custom packages under that name, but they all seemed to be the big icons for the programs, not the little status icons. I couldn't tell though whether those packages would include both the big icons and the small status icons or not. Any idea?

To get these icons first you need to install Maxmanilla. search the thread for maxmanilla and after that you can choose your icons for notifications.
Notification Icons
Install max manilla and then you can change the default notification by the one I have attached or to any icon you want. Search for the icons on net. A few icons are attached which I use.

I've seen some screenshots here (like in the like I posted above) where these little icons are very nice, rich, colorful, almost 3D looking. Those are the ones I'm trying to find. Does MaxManilla have those too?

Ah Sorry, I thought you are talking about notification icons. The icons which you are referring are part of taskbar. first you need to check your windows version If you are still on the stock rom or installed a coocked rom 6.5 then search for taskbar 6.5. If you are on 6.5.x then search for taskbar 6.5.x
A lot of customization links are included in the below thread. just search for taskbar for your version.

Awesome! That's what I was looking for. I was searching for 'status icons' since that's how HTC refers to them in the manual. Didn't think that was called the taskbar.

I love my HD2 and I wouldn't change it to anything else. But there's one thing that drives me crazy when I look at the homescreen. It's the Sense 2.5 default slider icons.
Does anyone know where can I find the original slider icons (icons+slider background) from TouchFlo3D from Blackstone or any other VGA/WVGA device? I'm trying to find it, but all I have is some modified versions. I'd really love to have good old TF3D slider... Please, help me with that or at least tell me what to enter in the search engine (I've tried slider / icon / iconset / default / manila / stock etc. in every possible combination - I get tousands of threads and posts and no answer).
I'm sure, that the original PNG files for the icons are somewhere there, but I simply can't manage to look through all these thousands of posts that i find and the search doesn't help at all.
If someone provides me with the link to these icons I will make a package with only a slider using HDWall and put it here for other users like me trying to find it...
Or maybe there are some ready manila files to put straight to the /windows folder to overwrite the default Sense 2.5 icons? If anyone seen that, please, provide the link.

I opened up the GTX theme and have taken all the slider files from there...
Normally it should cover everything...

I now use the DINIK taskbar which is awsome, but I installed S2U2, and it's got this iPhone-like taskbar.
I know, I know, there are much iPhone haters.
But still, I just want the taskbar, I'm only wondering if it's by far possible..
S2U2 has it in it's program. The only reason I ask for it, is because it's small, white and clean.
For me it doesn't even have to be iPhone like, if anyone knows a taskbar in white, which is small and with signal strenght, hour, volume and battery in it, please post the link. And yes, I'm not turning my phone into an iPhone, I currently use SPB mobile shell, so it might look a bit like android too, I'm just trying to combine so I get a neat display. thanks
PS: only a taskbar, no skin, nothing else.

I've been searching for a way to remove the taskbar (status icons etc..) without much success. The hard part is that I only want it hidden when sense is active.
Does anyone know of a way to do this?
