[IDEA][REQ] Notification Bar Temp & Batt - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

Hi everyone,
I've been on a search for a mod that would do this but I've come up emptyhanded on my search.
The thing I've been looking the most for is a way to include the temperature in the notification bar.
I really dislike cluttering my home screen with widgets and temp would only use 3-4 characters max. Nothing fancy, just text. Like in the attached image which I photoshopped so the basic concept would be understood. I know you could probably do it with an app but I want the temp to stick to the right of the bar.
The left side of the bar left strictly for notifications.
Does anyone know if it is possible? Is there a mod/app that does this already? Please enlighten me.
P.S. Anyone know how to get a purely text battery icon on the notification bar like on the attached image? Much appreciated.

How to get the Clock on the Top Bar?

Is it possible to get the Clock to show on the top bar while in the home screen as it was in PC2003? WM5 has replaced the clock with a battery icon which isnt very informative as its only a 2 stage indicator.
Thanks
This is actually a change new to AKU2 - pre-AKU2 there was no battery icon there. Please try this thread:

It doesn't contain the solution, but it's a pre-existing thread on the subject
Well, until someone comes up with a 'natural' solution, you can try my today plug-in:

Its not perfect, but it will put the clock not your task bar.
Also, there's nice program called Wisbar, which lets you do just about anything you want with your taskbar:

i'm looking for somtehing like this: on the very bottom of the picture, the 4 buttons.
thanks
thats actually a battery status theme.
it's rather popular, so simply searching "batterystatus theme" should get you the right thread within 3 or so pages

Statusbar_background trasparency???

Is possible transform statusbar_background in trasparency?? Sorri for my English!!!
Not by just making the png transparent... I tried that but it turned the statusbar all black
Not without framework modifications because the way it is currently implemented means that the client (app) currently running doesn't draw below the status bar.
So, even if you make it transparent somehow there is nothing below it.
so is there any oportunity to modify framework in this way?
i realy would like to have transparent status bar
ive always thought that the notification bar should be taken away
This subject is discussed at length in the Themes section of the forum.

reading is fundamental, also guess what this forum has handy little search feature located at the top right corner!!!
had to get rid of the evil post count lol
Nope. at least it hasnt been done yet... mebbe someday
You know, I've always wanted to know if there are any changes anyone has made to that aspect of the framework... I would love a thinner bar at the top.
mine was transparent on the HERO rom that i had, i forgot which rom it was, i think it was jac 7.6.something.. it was kind transparent but it was tinted black with darker checker boards. i'm talkign about the notification bar when you scroll it down that whole page
They are talking about making the status bar transparent, and it hasnt been done because it causes errors, or at the very least, it just returns as a solid color. There is a thread discussing the problems with this and the launcher background being transparent. And as much as you dont want to sift through all those posts, what makes you think I want to find it for you? Dont be so lazy.
i thought it was easily done, the only problem being that the wallpaper stops at the status bar, hence it being all black. or am i mistaken?

I believe I tried it once, and it was all black. There is nothing underneath it but black screen. You are not mistaken.

Both Battery and Clock on Title bar

I have seen pictures of ROMs with both the Battery and Clock on the title bar, but I cannot figure out how to do this. I searched and found a program that kind of does it, but it was just text and honestly looked pretty ghetto. Is there any way to have the default battery icon and clock on the title bar at the same time? Thanks for the help.
Dunno what you mean by "Getto", but Battclock can do this. Infact it can display 3 stacked updates using only one "footprint" in the top bar.
Have a look here: http://touchlockpro.sourceforge.net/BattClock.html
Is there no way to have it with the default icons/text, rather than just an overlay with no icons?

**Request** Morph for Notification Overlay Icon

Hi. I searched but couldn't find anything. So, requesting that someone create a morph for the Nexus Notification Overlay icon ic_notification_overlay.9.png, in /system/framework/framework-res.apk.
This is the reddish orange overlay icon for notifications to tell you how many you have. I took the stock one which is 24x24 and reduced it to 20x20 so that we might actually see what icon is behind the big red blob notification with a number.
I am not a morph maker or I'd do it myself. However, I did edit the framework-res.apk from my phone with the new icon and push it. As you can see it looks a lot better.
New .png attached.
Thanks.
edited. Didnte realize the count is per-app.
I dont like this red dot either ..
Well, I'm either not doing a good job of explaining it or everyone's just not into it. In case I'm not doing a good job...it is the exact same red circle as stock, just made smaller.
When you get a notification in the status bar that shows a number of how many new you have, there are 3 layers. The icon for the app, Tweetcaster in this case, then on top of that the red circle, then on top of that is the written number of new messages/tweets/etc.
With the circle at stock size, it completely covers the icon of the app that has the new updates. So, you'd have to pull down the status bar to know what the red circle with number is for. See first upload, "+" and Tweetcaster are covered. All I've done is reduce the size of the red circle so that the app icon, the bottom layer, is partially visible, in order to be able to tell what the alerts are for at just a glance.
It might not even be worth it now because I had to change the size of the circle to 24x20 to make triple digit numbers of alerts look good.
....Or like I wrote, no one cares, which is cool. No biggy. Thought I'd share.
cool I got it.
Made a morph without the red dot myself
Thanks for clearing that up. Heres the morph.
Thanks, guys, for fulfilling the request and editing the posts about how ugly I made it. i get the confusion though. Looks much more orange on the computer than it does on the phone
