Application issues

Hi guys,
I'm having some issues and woukd like some assistance:
1) I cant view pdf documents so I've tried to download Adobe Reader LE but can't find it anywhere. Any one got a link?
2) Can't play you tube videos even though flash and java are both running in the background. I'm getting the following error message "cannot play the file. The file is either corrupted or the player does not support the format you are trying to play". Any help as to why this is the case? I have used vtap to play videos successfully but can't get youtube to do this.
3) Can anyone recommend a good GPS tracking software (compatible with Google maps) for the vox?
Thanks

^ yes there is something called a HTC Streaming media player that will help watch youtube vids
1) Adobe Reader LE comes with many of the ROMs posted in this forum. Alternatives are also there. One of them being PDF To Go, which is bundled with Documents To Go.
2) Coreplayer (which is the best media player, in my opinion) plays Youtube videos.
3) I am not really into GPS. But I think TomoTom 7 is a good option. In this regard, you may read on the other posts in this forum, by experts.

[REQ] Dailymotion / Megavideo app

Today the main video app for smartphone is Youtube, which exist on Windows Mobile, Android, Symbian...
Recently Dailymotion made an app but only for iPhone OS, what a shame.
I know we can afford the mobile version of the site with almost every recent phones, but it's really not handy, and there is a huge difference between the contents of the full site and the mobile site.
About Megavideo, there is not even mobile site (is there ?).
The part solution is using the browser Skyfire, but, one more time it's not handy (have to zoom on the video frame and video is lagging).
So my question is...
Is it possible to make rights Dailymotion and Megavideo apps, I mean looking like Youtube app.
Thank you for your answers.
no way ? it's a pity...

How do you use this? As soon as I run the app there's a search box, when I run a search no results come back. I'm stuck. I'm using version 0.8.5
Hi !
I have updated my app to work with the new dailymotion website. .Net Compact Framework 3.5 is required. working with 3G/Wifi.
You can download the app here :
http://www.mediafire.com/?jyjyhwkofz2
The app is still in French only. I did not get enough time to work on it.
I will have some time to update it. I will post a Fr/Eng version soon.
Quick how to :
on the first screen you can make your search
When the search is done you automaticly view results, scoll up and down to browse the list.
Click on a picture to view/hide buttons :
-Quality : LQ an HQ. no HD yet
-Play or Download
Double click on the list to see the menu.
The last button allow you to select a different page.
Options :
-By default Tcpmp is selected (in the main memory not in SD Card). You can select any other player. (Tcmp is a bit slow)
-By default videos are downloaded to main memory.
Known bug/tweak :
sometime you can not close the app.
need some tweak to get maximum download speed
thank you so much. worked great on my hd2 with coreplayer.

[Q] Youtube problem

Hi Everyone
I'm new to android. Bought a POV Mobii tablet and got rid as it was pants. I've just bought a Storage Solutions Scroll tablet.
Runs Android 2.1, 256mb, 800mhz dc, 3d graphics
When I select videos through the preinstalled youtube app it says "Cannot display video".
I've rebooted to factory numerous times. I've read that clearing youtube cache can help but cant do that as youtube app is not in the app list (I guess as it's in the ROM).
I get the same on numerous wireless networks so I guess it's not down to that.
Can anyone help please? I've mucked around for hours and not getting anywhere!
Try installing the YouTube app from the market and run it again.

MXQ Android TV Box & Amazon Video

Afternoon all,
Just looking for a bit of advice, I've recently bought a MXQ Android TV Box which I hoped to use on our main tv for Amazon Prime Video. I've installed the apk from the amazon website and logged into my account, I can see all the tv and films on offer although when I click to play the file I get the usual orange circle and then the screen goes black and I get redirected back to the choose a video. Seems to work file on my Samsung Tablet and Justop windows mini pc.
Any tried Amazon videos with one of these recently? Any help would be great.
Cheers
Dave
Looks like the trailers are working fine
I have had similar issues with the recent versions of the Amazon video apps. I began to think they just want their fire TV to dominate the tv. I now use a older version of their app side loaded from my 6 year old Sony goggle tv blue ray player which i never update.. It basically gives the Web site for the interface but at least it works. You might use yor Web browser and save the amazon video page as a bookmark on your desktop.

Tried dolphin, Firefox & Chrome to play the videos with no luck on the website. Same as you now though I found an old apk and installed that which plays the videos from the website. ?
I too have the same problem with Amazon prime video on my MXQ. Did anyone find any solution
Same here
Any news about that, i have the same issue, the app installe dcorectly, but when i run the stream .. it says that the app encounted some error.
@RG GEIGER , @DaveG46
What version of the old apk did you find?
Sorry @neffly27 I've since switched to the fire TV cube which has its own set of limitations but happy so far. Anyway I'm not sure of the version of the app I used on my mx box but it was years ago from the original goggle tv on a Sony DVD player.
