ive tried betterkeyboard and swipe and both seems to drain the battery a bit much and are not very accurate. is there any themes out there for the standard touch input keyboard? it actually isn't bad at all but i hate the white color.

im testing to see if I have the files pinned down. If I do then I should be able to do a grey but prob not black as I know nothing of code and you ould have to change the color of the actual letters in code.

ok I have the files pinned down but forgot that when i got my new comp that I didnt install the JDK so its going to be a few to get everything set up so that I can get you a signed zip.

im actually testing Noj's white rosie along with a few other people. he is planning on releasing it to the masses along with flipz kitchen so hopefully it wont be too much longer.

sorry I mis-spoke its not just the rosie its actually a complete theme he is working on so the task bar is part of it. but like I said shouldnt be too much longer before it gets released.
The black keyboard works awesomly..
On the first boot I got an fc for Google maps, and it appears to have your custom dictionary!
But no big deal its pretty sweet. This should be in the themes sticky!
Ps. The highlights are blue like from the blue espresso theme. Not a bfd.

not sure why it would FC maps maybe just a coincidence. the dictionary is actually from fresh 1.1 I used the apk from there. thats also why the highlights are blue.
I really need to get a dump of all the stock system apks to build from.
edit: ok after looking at the files again I see the files that need to be changed to get things back to green but I dont have time right now before I go to work. ill go through and get a green version going when I get home tonight for all those that dont like blue.
I like the keyboard, and the blue I think looks good with the black keys......

agreed, id like to be able to flash the old one back. the background color is great but can you make the letters on the keys white or very light grey in color?

You could just unzip fresh or any other 1.5 sense ROM, then push the HTC_IME.apk from within it onto you phone.

Hello all, anyone wanting to test this rom im putting it up so we can
find the fixxes faster. Ive been up all nite modding and themeing it
since i liked how the new ui looked. After testing it looks like i need to get lwp+sense. I got my opengl fix working right away, so they stick in cyan launcher and launcher2. But Htc changed the rosie files in framework so now the old fix for lwp+sense wont work with thenew rosie, and i cant swap it out because it wont work. Heres what i have so far:

After taking all of the comments from last nite into consideration, and staying up all nite to finish, I updated the mod with a new launcher, i modded the helix, made two more fonts for the two ver. KKD_MODv3.2G and KKD_MODv3.2lite I fixed EVERYTHING i had comments on....Also i added 5 fonts in update.zip form for anyone in case they dont like what they see....
Ive fallen into a bad habit where i CANNOT flash a rom w/o modding it to my liking......So this is a beta v. MOD of darch's latest and greatest...I HAD to try it. Made me jump Damage Ship for a sec. Still testing, but afict everything is working nicely. Im touching it up now and ill put up the beta in a bit....This is not a beta to me, but ill wait till i get a little feedback to polish it.

TBH though, I hate the stock white notification bar from AOSP builds.. looks especially goofy to me with roms like this where everything else is themed darker

You could take the rom or theme and put your own fonts in before flashing.

I wasn't bashing anybody and i agree the fonts are pretty bad but the theme otherwise looks good. I just said you guys could always install your own fonts.

Wow those fonts would give me a headache but outside of that great job, always glad to see more roms around the forums! I'll give it a shot.

Me neither, it was my beta and that font looked cool on my pc, in my post up there i explained the whole situation and that YOU WONT GET THIS FONT in giant letters...... Just sick of looking @ stock anything and i like to experiment...Most ppl dont like what i do.I do it for myself, and the ppl that follow what i do, really like my stuff..... Sort of a LOVE HATE deal....

If youd looked into what i do youd see i include the stock font with any of my mods because few ppl like mine, and i explained the pictured font in the op...You should really try one and flash one of my update zip stock fonts.....You shouldnt let font stop you from flashing ANY rom, you might miss something really sweet. I have ppl that hate red but ran my red theme till i up'd somthing new because they appreciate what i do.....Sorry youd let a update.zip for stock font stop you from trying something new...Not really looking for fans anyway, just maybe a few ppl that enjoy my mods as much as i do, and i achieved that goal a LONG time ago, without about 98% of cdma hero not looking twice @ what i do, so im used to it and idrc.

Sorry you dont like my app drawer launcher, i learned how to make glass effects so i made that reflection at the top to accent the taskbar, and made the app drawer launcher indicators green to match the system highlites, and lastly i made the button presses on the swype/android hybrid kb orange to match the search bar highlight...... LOOK CLOSER...It matches and IT IS themed...if i couldnt match colors and shapes thered be no point in themeing..Also, i looked for soooo long to find statusbar_backround, and its not the same part in this rom so i couldnt change it. I really wanted to make it just like the launcher drawer originally... All the ideas are very good, but its much. harder to make them materialze.....its easy to say this stuff after you see it.... but i took the time to MAKE it....Thanks for being honest....im sure you can appreciate my honesty as well...

Nope. I waited till he fixed it before i themed it. Camcorder works now too
7 comments; 1 compliment, 1 person keeping the peace, and 5 complaints......I remember a while ago i talked to damage and he was *****ing us out for ragging on DC and what needed to be [email protected] first i thought he was a ****, but ive slowly come to understand him over time.....he was never a ****, i just had NO IDEA where he was coming from.....Itd be a little more helpful if instead of telling me what you dont like, how bout telling what you do like and put it up for me to use so i can make my stuff more accepted by you......Thats EXACTLY what id do, so i dont think its very far fetched to expect it here on a development site...negativity and complaints are soo easy to put out there, but compliments, constructive criticism, and offering a logical solution dont seem to be the common choice around here.....Sorry if anyone finds this a bit harsh, do not take offense. No I understand, I've tried doing themes but with two kids it's hard to find the time anymore. I've just personally never liked the look of just the white notification bar, I prefer the Sense black style our Hero's came out of the box until we flashed them to hell and back. The launcher looks good and I get where your coming from to match the launcher to the taskbar. Overall it looks good, and unlike a lot of the other ones I like that font alot and want to try it. If anything it looks like it could stand to be smaller, but again, that's more of an Android issue considering the system resizes the base fonts for the different parts of it and the stylized fonts must be larger to give it the style.
Don't mind the complaints, there's always a place for any sort of theme or rom you can come up with. If anything maybe do a screencap with the stock font at the top of the post for comparison (and since you do provide it as well), then do the rest with the font you want to do. I think that would help with the font complaints.

When did thus get fixed ( battery drain ) I flashed the newest update and still have 100% awake time and a massive battery drain

sense sucks(except for some of the widgets) so dont worry about doing anything w/ sense...as much red as we can get for cm6 would be great...i would try to do some stuff w/ the status bar like changing the 3g/wifi icons, the time, also i like that battery icon that was on your other red customization (the circular red one)...just a few suggestions, i will try to think of some more...thanks dude, your stuff is badass!
I'd like to see red or maybe even yellow for the sky raider rom. I actually like sense just don't like how the launcher looks on it. Anything would be appreciated though. Thanks for the themes and keep up the good work

I'm kinda leaning toward theming that Rom... 2.2 with sense is pretty nice, plus I don't see issues with cm6 getting fixed anytime soon. Im so torn between the two roms, cm has trackball wake and customization for long pressing the home button but the new 2.2 rom has internal storage and may have a working camera soon.
I should've put a little more thought into that poll... opinions anyone?
I think you should work on the most functional roms first. That way your time won't go to waste, you'd be theming a Rom that no ones going to be using. Thinking you should really go with sky raider for now.
And I agree about the launcher on sense its the main reason I don't use sense ui. Wait till a real stable cm 6 comes out then make a bada** theme for it.. ill get your kid some nice power rangers if u do!

Definitely Blue/Red for CM 6.
I think as the bugs are worked out over the next couple (few?) weeks, a lot of people will be moving over to Cyanogen.

I'll be getting CM6 as soon as the bugs are worked out and it would be great to have a red theme for that.
+1 to red CM6...Cyanogenmod's gonna be HOTTT!! Verizon made the highlights red, so its only fitting...Dark status bar with a transparent window!
Sorry for my absence, I am finally feeling healthy. Looks like it's gonna be red for CM-6. I'm starting a to-do list on the op so i can prioritize, so if you want any of those custom icons please remind me...

Also, I need three testers who can thoroughly test these cm themes... I need people who have great attention to detail and a lot of time. PM me if you can meet those qualifications.

What are the chances you could package a red themed NexusMod live wallpaper with your red theme? In particular the wallpaper from the droid. That would be sick, and I can't find the damn wallpaper anyway.
Yeah id like neural network too. Or maybe ask koush to port it? He's the one that got the nexus wallpaper working on the Droid months ago, it never loaded until he came along.
My girlfriend would freak if you could make an all purple theme and I told her I would but it wouldn't get done until the next major android update comes out. She saw this thread and begged me to post to ask you. Thanks.

Chances are slim, unless you can get me the source code for it... then i may be able to hack it, but that would take me forever since i have no skills
Of course, if you use CM roms nexus mod is included.

Attached are the downloads.
I have tested the Green and it installed flawless. I did not test the others as the files only had name changes and the xml was modified to match those name changes.
As always Make a backup before applying any ROM or theme. im not responsible for any errors but will help if anything goes wrong.
Download Metamorph from the market (Please try to support the developer buy purchasing the pro version if you can)
I always unzip the files to the /Sdcard/Androidthemes/.
Open metamorph and let it do its checks. Then click on the Pick existing theme. Depending on which file u have downloaded and extracted to androidthemes choose SwypeColor (Of course color would be the color you have downloaded). then click on the SwypeColor.xml The description will popup with the information. Click close then chose apply all. Let it do its magic. When it finishes reboot. When it completes its reboot go to settings>keyboard and language>Check swype and setting swype as input method. When you attempt to use the keyboard it should load.

I left the tracer as the stock cyan blue-ish color thats in it, I didnt really look into changing it.
Honestly I can do any color, would prefer to keep this theme down to like 5 versions right now. So I guess first 5 come first 5 served lol. Yes it has full support for everything the Droid X can utilize.
If you post a link to changing the tracer color Ill look into to. Cant do much at my current location due to work. Also kinda lazy atm but more along the lines of work reason not to tho =þ
Mods: Can the stock Swype.apk be posted? I know the beta cannot but Im not sure about the stock Swype that comes with the DX.

Ok. I have 6 in total cooked up right now. Ill post them when I get home. The 6 are Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Orange, and Grey. I got tired of waiting for requests so I had my girlfriend pick out 5 more colors lol.

Well I did research and found out I can not post a full apk of the Swype app. Ive currently finished researching how to make a metamorph theme and am making a backup and then I will test it out to make sure it installs correctly.
