I thinked my phone is totally Bricked! - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

SO i just finished transferring a file to my sd card via usb i went to turn off usb and something happened and i got the "damaged SD card". I tried to format but to no avail. Also noticed that phone storage said 0.00mb! that feels very bad. I went to reboot and got stuck bootlooping. tried to flash rom and get
Copying files...
E:Cant chown/mod /data/app
(operation not permitted)
E:Failure at line 9:set_perm_recursive xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Installation aborted
Pretty sure what happened was with any drive thats interrupted while active it breaks the drive. including the internal memory in the phone
Please help!!
HTC Incredible

1. This belongs in the Incredible General forum
2. Pull the card and try it in a pc. Reformat if the fat tables are corrupt.
3. If you can get into clockwork recovery then it's not bricked. Plenty of threads on what to do. Had the phone stuck in a bootloader loop myself after trying to change the boot animation. Make sure to clean out the caches before flashing and just don't worry as much.

This is what I meant when I said to mount /system - your USB not being recognized should not influence this at all. Sorry I wasn't clear on that (and apologies if you did in fact make sure under mounts and storage in CWM that to the left of /system it said "unmount" before flashing and the issue was not resolved).
I'm in Andriod system recovery <3e>
all i see is
rebbot systen now
apply update from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe chche partication
below in RED
is saying E: failed to mount / chache (Invalid argument)
E:ca't mount /chache /recovery/log
Thanks

Ah - you don't have CWM then. Well, I suppose a remaining option would be to definitely remove the sdcard before you go - but to go to Verizon and feign ignorance. Given the recent OTA you could always try to blame it on that. The file I linked you will not work in the stock recovery. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Ok went into CMW but i don't see
unmount
All it says is
recovery-update.zip
backup/
download/
i treid all and i get installation aborted.

Just for the hell of it, take your sd card and plug into computer to see if the card is not corrupted then do factory reset, see if you can see your sd card. What you showed us is not cwm.

the good news is that the phone appears to be back to stock now (but with no ROM), as that is the stock recovery screen, not our CWM.
here's what I would say when bringing the phone back into VZW: i got the notification that there was some update, I tried to install it, and my phone froze. i then tried to perform a factory reset, and now I'm stuck on this screen.
but certainly remove your SDcard before you go.
also, you could try doing the wipe data/factory reset again to see what happens, but i don't think it will yield any different results.
are you 100% certain that the USB port does not work? have you tried rebooting your computer to see if it recognizes it again? that has happened to me on more than one occassion (even with apple products - shhhh... don't tell anyone that I've also got an iPhone, iPod Touch, iPod, and iPod Nano in my home).
Yes i tries the usb for the past 3 months to no avail on different PC and ;laptop.
I just formatted the sdcard.
If i take phone to V Don't i need a SD card for the phone to work ??
Wont they say hey where the SD card ?

well if you already formatted your sd card then you can leave it in there. If they give you a replacement, they are going to take your old sd card and put back into the new phone.
Just remember to tell them the ota killed your phone..

[Q] omni 4.4 help stingray

I am not new to ROM's I have dabbled here and there with my phones and the xoom. I followed the directions to a t for the Omni 4.4.2. I did the first part for putting bigPart TWRP on my xoom. I have the recovery on there and I can find my SD card with the rom and other files on there needed but it will not load after I install everything. The internal storage still shows at 0. I get the Omni bootloader and then a message from google pops up saying encryption unsuccessful and I need to perform a factory reset. When I try that it just brings me back to recovery. I don't know what I did wrong but the only thing that works is recovery. It's like nothing at all is on the internal storage of the xoom. I have tried to copy the files from my sd card over to internal and install, same thing. When I go back to check the files I copied to internal they are gone. The files I have on the sd card are there but it won't load the files on the internal storage to set up android on there. I can't even go back to an old restore cause I was using cwm recovery and the those restore files aren't recognized. I'm at a loss, any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't even get my computer to see so I can push the files over to it and I am pretty rusty with ADB to try and set that up.
I just tried to push the original twrp 2630 through adb and it flashed, I tried to reboot into recovery and it just staid at the twrp screen. Ughhh I'm getting so frustrated cause I had the xoom working perfectly on JB before I started messing around. Any help would be great, Even getting me back to stock and I can take it from there.

trying to give as much info as I can. I got the original twrp 2630 running, flash twrp big part, followed next step to to wipe everything except sdcard, this is what I got:
Updating partition details...
E:unable to mount '/system'
E:unable to mount '/cache'
E:failed to wipe dalvik
updating partition details...
E:unable to mount '/system'
E:unable to mount '/cache'

Accidentally formatted SDcard0, unable to mount or reformat sdcard0 or sdcard1 now!

I was attempting to clean up my SDCard1 when I accidentally formatted SDcard0. Now it refuses to mount and refuses to format.
I was on CarbonRom 4.4.4.
When I try to mount it says:
"Error mounting /storage/sdcard0/"
When I try to format it says:
"Could not format /storage/sdcard0"
Now it suddenly will no longer let me mount scard1 I have no idea what to do now!
I am at a complete loss, I believe it was formatted as exfat as I thought I was doing the external SDCard1. I am currently in CWM-based Recover v6.0.5.0 and have no idea what to do.
About the only thing I can do is choose "Install zip from sideload" and it seems to pop stuff up on my computer.
I just hope the phone is salvageable.
Any help would be appreciated.
UPDATE: Well, now the phone died and when I try to turn it on it gets the icon with the phone, the exclamation symbol, and the computer. I can't even get it into download mode. I might be out of luck now.
UPDATE2: Well I just said "Screw it" and plugged in the USB with that logo, odin detected it, and I unbricked back to GB. It rebooted and I am now in the setup screen, so I hope I am home free.
UPDATE3: I finally got it back to KitKat and it seems to be working fine.

Error Mounting XT1032

So, I wanted to install a custom ROM, but somewhere along the way something went wrong and I got stuck in a bootloop, I've been reading up on some threads and I followed some steps that were supposed to fix it, but I feel like I'm in even more trouble now (Well, my phone is still alive so I still have hope but yeah..)
Anyways, I'm using Philz custom recovery now, I tried to do a wipe to install a new or stock ROM, at first it said the wipe was succesful, so I tried installing the ROM, but during the install I kept getting:
E: Error mounting /data
It did say the installation was succesful, but after I rebooted it kept trying to wipe eventhough I did not ask for this.
Got another mount error and said Wipe Failed.
Now when I try to sideload stock ROM I get errors like:
Formatting Cache
Formatting /sd-exxt
E: Uknown volume for path /sd-ex
(I also don't know why it's doing that since this phone has no SD card) I got the Falcon edition with the internal storage. Also when my computer recognizes my phone and I want to open the phone folder, there is no longer an Internal Storage folder.
Anyways after those errors it says Data Wipe Complete, Wiping System, Now flash new ROM
But nothing flashes properly it seems due to the mounting error. I've looked for solution, but I can only seem to find threads that involve Samsung
and when I find a solution video it has something to do with either taking your battery out of your phone (which you can't do with this phone) or something
with your SD card (which this phone doesn't have).
So yeah, I'm running out of ideas here and any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers.

The phone has a virtual SD card.
I had a similar issue. Try flashing TWRP recovery and go to wipe > format data (THIS WILL DELETE ALL DATA) then reboot recovery. Worth a shot if you're not able to use your phone. You can copy over SD card contents to a computer first via TWRP by mounting MTP, or use USB OTG..

Verify hardware failure of internal memory

I am wanting to get some opinions on if this sounds like the internal memory has failed or if there may just be something wrong with the format and partitions.
I have an old galaxy s3 that failed a few months ago. It restarted and would attempt to enter recovery mode but gave errors unable to mount storage, system, etc.
I was able to flash twrp and cwm recoveries. I did cwm after twrp to see if they showed the same problems. Twrp did show the internal memory with 0mb. I've also tried using several commands
through adb to attempt to access the internal memory with no success.
If anyone can think of anything else to try I'd appreciate it or if you think the memory has failed I would appreciate your opinion.
Also this phone was having issues where it would reboot and say something about the memory being corrupt and to reformat it, on additional reboot it would start as normal.
