No tv-out option.
I show the following:

When you finished downloading the ROM, put your phone into Download mode by removing the battery first then put it back it after that press both Volume +/- button and plug in the usb cable. Now on Odin, place the downloaded file into the PDA slot. Then place this file (http://www.mediafire.com/?gjxjcydsazdv6rb) into the PIT slot and check re-partition. And click Start to start the flashing.
Hi all,
I recently got a refurbished i9003 and was looking to get it upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.6 and rooted.
After some help by marshygeek in my thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1822572), I followed his recommendations:

[/COLOR]@skatylup after downloading (Be sure you have kies already) then follow the guide here pal, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133787 just follow carefully. The latona.pit is in XXKPE folder. Its an easy step by step process. Once in XXKPQ, Root it with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351056 download bagaria.tar then flash in odin via PDA. (should be in download mode again.)
After doing above instructions, Go to Recovery mode w/c is volume up + home +power. Then wipe cache and dalvik cache. Then your good to go. Your now rooted and can try different custom roms.

I was so happy as after the phone rebooted I was on gingerbread and rooted.
But I found out that after charging the phone (it was at 100%) via the plug socket or computer, and removing the cable, my phone would turn itself off.
I wouldn't be able to turn in back on unless I connect it to the power source (keep in mind the battery is not empty).
The process of the phone turning off still occurs when I remove the usb/charger.
Any idea what is causing this?
I did do a full system restore via the recovery menu.
If all else fails I will probably revert back to froyo (I hope this is possible) unroot it and take it back to the shop.
Any advice?
Thanks.
i would think the commons cause is the battery gone?? By refurbished do u mean second hand or that u screwed it up n changed everything ?

Refurbished means somone bought the phone and returned it within 7 days unopened.
The battery is on full charge. Definately not gone.
Also to add, the phone now swiches itself off randomly :crying:

The fact that that 'someone' returned it within 7 days would seem highly suspicious.since it's obviously in warranty y don't u visit the service centre??

Can't I just flash it back to stock froyo/i9003?
I'd prefer to do it this way then take it back to the service centre.
If they see that Gingerbread is on a i9003 they might not accept it.

I just installed the cyanogen 10 mod to my blaze and tried it. i went to this file manager that told me to reroot my phone so that I may be able to use it better. I went to odin to reroot it again but i accidentally used the original blaze.pit file on it and when it rebooted it showed me the original samsung starter instead of the cyanogen mod starter. That wasn't the problem, the problem was it never went in to the phones home screen or apps. Instead it continues to show the samsung logo and the flying android over and over again. I tried using the SGH-T769-hitsquad tar file to fix it (i need to mention that i bricked it once before and used this tar file to fix it) but it keeps taking me to the samsung logo. I can't even try to factory restore it because it just starts acting strange when I go to the menu. I can still go into download mode, i've gone searching for a file or anything to help me fix it but i can't find anything. Please, any suggestions?!
Here's a link to stock Tmo Blaze tar's from GB to ICS. ICS is the UVLH5 file. I suggest download that one.. then flash that file through odin.. dont include a Blaze pit file. just PDA file which is the one you'll download.
EDIT:

Did u buy this used from someone? Do u know if it's rooted? If u aren't sure trying downloading an app that requires root and see if it works. Of it doesn't then you're stock

I can definitely test to see if it is rooted, hopefully the chances it has a custom Rom but was then unrooted are slim.

I have tried to see if I can get the ICS update via Kies, but I get the message
your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware vis kies
version: PDA:KE8 / PHONE:KE7 / CSC:KE8 (XXX)
If I type *#1234# in the phone dialer I get
PDA7300XXKE8
PHONE: P7300XXKE7
CSC7300XAKE8
So i am still trying to figure out why I cant update with Keys, if it is because it is on a non Stock Firmware or if it is because I am in the US and it seems to be a UK tab.
Does someone knows if you can run Kies for an Update while in the US on a UK tablet ?
Thanks

If it is on a custom rom then no you cant update that way. Also might have a prob as it will not see an update as your not in the devices default country.
I don't know much about that model of phone, but I think it would be a good idea to wipe and flash a stock image - one that will give you factory recovery (not having it can stop you from getting updates - one possibility). That way you know you are starting clean.

I have already reset the device, but as far as I know (read) resetting the device does not go back to a stock ROM if a custom One was installed, it only goes back to the default of the Custom ROM.

Hmm, I guess you are right. I mixed up 'rooting' and 'custom roms'.
By the way, I suppose custom rom does not even have to be rooted. so 'root checker' might a good, but not 100% accurate check.
Just reflash an other ROM, a stock one perhaps? Or some other one, that suits you better?

This is why I recommend you re-flash stock with factory recovery using a computer, not just the "factory reset" option in the phone.

I would recommend simply finding your stock firmware and flashing it. That should do the trick. Or you can just find another ROM, why disable the goodyness of having a rooter phone by unrooting it?

A new twist has surfaced.
First it appears that KE8 is a samsung firmware so i am on stock
But the twist is that this tablet as a fully functional Phone dialer in the Samsung mini app panel and can place and receive phone calls.
Doing some research I found out normally none of these tablets have phone functionality except some of the early demo models.
So either the previous owner had found a way to add phone capabilities to the stock firmware, or it is one of the early models (after all it is running 3.0.1).
In both cases, I would guess it means that if I update to a more recent stock firmware, I will likely loose phone capabilities.
Does someone know if there is a way to find out if a firmware has phone support?
Is there a way to backup the current firmware in the tablet before flashing a new one so I could go back to it ?
Thanks to all for the answers so far!
Recently, an official android kit kat 4.4.2 update was available for note 10.1 and i've updated it. I found out my "most used" features are all gone and it lags sometimes, it also won't support my old apps (eg. papago), it really sucks very much. I wanted to downgrade back to SAMSUNG STOCK ROM jellybean 4.1.2 so.... can anyone help me? I Really LOVED the jellybean system very much
My device is rooted.
If you have KitKat bootloader, there is no way to downgrade now. If you still have jellybean bootloader, then you can. Get root checker on play store and see what your bootloader version is first. Then if its anything other that the newest (will probably match your baseband in last three digits) you can downgrade.
I believe you can still downgrade even if you have the new bootloader as long as you use Mobile Odin.
If you are going to attempt this, make sure you make a nandroid backup first!

Yeah don't use PC ODIN or you could have an expensive doormat. If I recall, mobile ODIN doesn't flash modems, but unsure about bootloader. Maybe someone else can help there, but DO NOT PC ODIN from 4.4.2 to anything under with the bootloader you have.
You can simply downgrade by using Mobile Odin. I have also done it that way because I don't really like Kitkat at the moment on my tablet.
Mobile Odin doesn't flash bootloader/pit files, but everything else. So, just download your JB Firmware, put it on your tablet, download Mobile Odin from the Play Store, open it and select your Firmware. Done.

Answer: YES.
Comments:
As a senior member, I think it is very obviously that you should know KNOX is a new app and it is only for android 4.3 or higher if i had not mistaken (correct me if it is a mistake). If you liked KNOX alot i think its better not to downgrade it. After downgrading, it will become just as what it originally has.
Want KNOX? update to samsung official update android 4.4 kitkat.
Hate KitKat's "functionless" update? Downgrade.
Thats what i have, to say.
