[Resolved] [Q] HTC Viva Opal & WPA2-PSK WiFi Connection - General Questions and Answers

Hi Q & A team!
I have configured my wifi security to be WPA2-PSK(WiFi encrypted networks) on my router and I want the security to be that way...
I am asking regarding HTC Opal Viva connecting to WPA-PSK2 networks.
I used to use Evolution 2 which allowed me to access the WPA2-PSK network.
Recently, I've upgraded my ROM to Evolution 2.5A but unfortunately My HTC Opal Viva cannot connect to WPA2-PSK WiFi networks anymore..
I have tried asking in the ROM thread but I have yet to receive any feedback.
I also tried searching...
I hope you guys can help me with this problem.
Thanks

Internet Sharing - Wifi router to Touch Bluetooth to Artemis u

Hi Folks,
i am trying to get internet to my Artemis ( Tmobile version without wifi ). My Tmobile touch has internet access via wifi. I was thinking to start internet sharing using bluetooth to the artemis, but I cannot find any internet sharing in it. Do you guys have any ideas how to proceed ?
Thanks for any input.
Vladimir
internet sharing on WM doesn't support sharing wifi to bluetooth connections, unfortunately. the best alternative, if you can at all use it, will be found in www.wmwifirouter.com
Thanks for your input. I was wondering if the windows mobiles 6 are not same. I have upgraded HTC artemis ( without wifi ) to 6.0. It has the internet sharing icon ( and bluetooth pan ). However, the newer htc touch ( t-mobile ) also with win 6.0 does not have that. Is the touch is incapable of such thing? It has the bluetooth too.
it's all about having the internet sharing application installed or cooked into the rom you're using.
btw, your artemis, touch, or any other device, even having the internet sharing app, can only use bluetooth to supply a connection rather than use a connection.

you can follow this thread to have the internet sharing app on your touch as well.

DS and L2TP/IPsec VPN connection

Hello
Is anyone using VPN L2TP/IPsec PSK connection on his/her Desire S with stock HTC ROM with latest OTA updates, please?
If I define the connection with all required parameters and try to connect to my home VPN gateway, my DS gets completely frozen... Only possibility is to remove and insert battery (dangerous I know, but also power+vol buttons did not help).
In logs on VPN gateway I see that connection has been successfully initiated but anyway the phone gets frozen... :-(
VPN connections works fine from PC with Win7 and also from HTC with Windows Mobile OS. I tried also from another Android phone (ZTE Blade) Android 2.2 version and that phone just reboots during connection... terrible. Searching forums on internet I see I'm not the only to have such issues, I saw also users with SGS2 and other phones reporting reboots/freezing issues with VPN...
Any positive experience with VPNs among DS users?
thanks
Fero

I have flashed MildWild Oxygen ROM to my HTC Desire. Since then WLAN does not connect to ANY WLAN anymore? It stops when trying to get an IP address.
I happens with any kind of encryption (even with none). The MAC addresses have been given to the routers.
Any advice?
Thanks.

[Completed] [Q] wifi problem with zopo zp999

Hi everybody
I bought a Zopo ZP999 2 weeks ago and globally i'm very satisfied with it. The only problem is that when I connect it with my wifi network after 15 seconds i'm still connected but without debt. My smartphone run under Android 4.4.2 and I'm connected with the protocole WPA AES.
I just want to say that at my work every works perfectly on the wifi network. I tried to change the security protocol at home and nothing change. I also tried another router wifi with 3 differents protocols and same results.
Is somebody have a solution for this problem ?
Thanks a lot
Jeff
So if you're saying you have no issues with wifi at work but at home, you need to contact your home isp and trouble shoot with them.
Thank you
