Works like a charm.. This was obviously designed with Hummingbird in mind though, as it is slightly jerky on my Nexus One..

Yeah you are right, I think it was just jerky at the startup, but its smooth as ever. Btw, OP can you get hold of the 'microbes' lwp by any chance??

No, it needs to replace /system/apps/LiveWallpapers.apk I'm afraid.
You don't need to flash via recovery though, I used ADB to put it in place.
Where did you find it out of interest?

I dont think it works for evo.. just keeps saying copy failed

Heres a modded version. Changed the package name from com.android.wallpaper to com.android.wallpap23
After you install this you will see some doubles, but the new Nexus one will also be there
Signed so you can install as it as a normal /data/app apk. (no root)
Still needs froyo/2.2/sdk8, didnt change that.
Note: Would have removed the older live wallpapers and named it differently if apktool worked on it...maybe later.
To uninstall:
either: adb remove com.android.wallpap23
or: try to uninstall "Android Live Wallpapers" (Settings->Apps->...), only the user-app can be removed the default system app will fail to uninstall

This is the package for HTC Plurk + odex from the HTC Desire HD Taiwanese Asian RUU.
However, no matter how I push it into /system/app and such, it doesn't seem to run.
Here I am calling out for efforts to hack it and put it in our ROMs.

Have you tried to change permissions after from system/app using root explorer? They should change to r/w, r, r

My friend said that it have not been de-odexed. Anyone have the right tools for the job to de-odex it?

Alright, got it working. (not quite though).
There's some graphical bugs, could it be ironed out? How's the deodexing process like, was the compression level too much or something?
THE GOOD NEWS IS .. Friendstream works! The plurk app managed to integrate into friendstream. However, the Plurk widget failed, and it will cause HTC Sense to crash.
The plurk app looks something like that - Clearly flawed app there.

I am not too sure, I do not need to downgrade my ROM in order to S-Off, so I dont think its 1.72.
Does that help?

Your more then welcome to use my scripts until you learn, just replace the apk with the new one. I usually use signpk.

I'm running the coredroid 4.9 rom and I get an error message. I know u said it would only work on standard rom. Figured I'd ask if you could tell me how to apply it.

Not sure but I don't think its the same method to use this froyo based lockscreen on gingerbread roms.

There are a few problems with this the update scripts from froyo are quite different from those for ginger bread.
The second problem is that the apk is from a non-themed rom, so you would loose the custom slider .
it is possible though.

I have assembled some mods based on Clean Rom 2.x but they should work on most ROMs with 1.85.502.3 base. Just download, boot into recovery, MAKE A COPY of your original file(s), wipe cache/dalvik cache and flash.
I'm am not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone! But will take credit when someone states how "COOL" the UI is!!!

I added the 4x4 mod to CleanROM 2.4.5 which was just released!

I love it!!
One question though... will it work with other roms? I know you said its for cleanrom 2.x, however it works flawlessly with cleanrom 3.0. I would like to know if it'd work with king cobra ROM but I'm worried it might mess something up if I try.
