hey guys.
i had the clear lockscreen and clear launcher mod by chocmatic i think his name is.
the phone button on the launcher wasn't working so i went to install another clear rosie found here on the forums...it backfired, putting my phone into a boot loop. luckily i still had the install zip from the clear lockscreen/launcher on the sd card, so i booted into recovery, flashed that, and i'm back in the phone. the clear launcher is back (and still with the phone button not working) but now my lockscreen is different.
from what i've seen in threads this is the stock lockscreen (unlock on the left, volume on the right). ive tried flashing back the clear lockscreen, as well as the black lockscreen that I had before...and both times the installation goes fine but when the phone loads it's on the same ugly lockscreen...
what got messed up and how do I revert this?
i really want to go back to the clear lockscreen!
thanks for your help!
nobody? come on i know you guys know this!
EDIT: i did some more reading and the lockscreen i'm seeing is what i believe is called the Vanilla Lockscreen, rather than the HTC Lockscreen.
I pushed the HtcLockScreen.apk file (2.2) from the sticky thread here, it's under /system/app and nothing. i've also flashed two or three different varieties and nothing.
so is there something else in the framework that got messed up? this was after trying to flash a clear rosie made by Konikub that (now) i know was meant for 2.1...
please help out!
EDIT 2: fixed it myself. I adb pushed all the files that the bad flash changed on my phone from the rom zip file and i'm back to stock now...now to flash my clear lock screen
mods feel free to delete the thread!

Thanks to sbrissen for these awesome mods. He whipped them up for us and let me post it for you guys.
If anything bad happens, it's not our fault. Make a backup before you flash.
EB16 Mesmerize Hide Clock
EB16 Mesmerize Hide AM PM
Just in case you get confused, only flash one of these. Hide the whole clock OR hide the AM/PM.
If you like these, stop by sbrissen and give him some love.
When removing either one do the rest of the icons shift over or does it just leave a blank space?

FYI - You make a (nandroid) backup in the Red Clock work recovery screen (under backup/restore from the main menu)
Did you even read your post before you saved that edit?
What about ESKBL? or whatever it's called that extends the back light timeout for the soft keys.

Baked Tator has a post with the ESKBL/No Clock MOD http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=981247
Hi everyone, first post here. Looked around and haven't found an answer to this yet. Phone is EVO 4G
Have flashed this rom multiple times and the rom itself functions well with little to no lag. The problems arise if I do anything in recovery. Tried flashing a kernel (goldenmonkey) and wound up with endless force closes. Did a nandroid restore to a state just before I had flashed the kernel and the force closes continued. Shouldn't the restore have returned everything to the previous state with the stock kernel as that was what I had installed with the rom? That's what always happens with the other rom I have saved on my SD card.
Just a few minutes ago, I reflashed the kingedshooter rom, installed apps, etc. Was planning on trying another kernel, but forgot to put the zip on my SD card. Anyway, I did a nandroid backup (with everything working fine) and as soon as I rebooted the phone, I could not access the settings and the power control widget I had loaded on one of my home screens was gone. I couldn't make phone calls, and would get a force close if I tried to access any settings. Tried to restore to my most recent backup where once again everything was working perfectly and am still having the issues I just described. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.
Anyone that reads this, please disregard the above. Made a nandroid after installing a theme and kept trying to go back to that. Thanks.
Was having some troubles with my phone so I decided to do a factory reset, wiped everything and flashed Synergy 1.3 and Imo Leankernel. I got everything restored with TB and seemed to be going fine. Then I figured out the home button wasn't working. I turned off the screen and tried turning it on using the home button and it works fine, but once I get onto my home screen or in an app it absolutely won't work. I tried long pressing it to see if it will bring up the recent apps--it doesn't. I have no idea where to go from here. I'm new to flashing and I don't know what I could have done to make this happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have the unlocked icon so I don't think I will be able to get Verizon to replace it. Thanks in advance.

first step would be to download the stock odin image from samsung-updates.com and flash that. See if the button works. If it doesn't work, somehow you borked your phone in the wierdest way but hey who knows.
Also flashing this will take away the locked icon.
Other option would be to flash a different rom, like beanstown, or mine, and see what happens. If it doesn't do it there, I would reflash synergy, but after verifying the md5.
Also are you using any sort of launcher (apex, nova, go, etc.), I noticed my home button was a little finicky with them?

I was using Apex at the time, but I also tried Nova and TW to no avail. It was the weirdest thing...so I ended up flashing ParanoidAndroid Hybrid Jellybean ROM and it is working out great for me so far. No issues with the home button, and even if it does happen again, I have the on-screen keys to save me
Alright so I was running ParanoidAndroid for a little bit, but I saw that the new Synergy 1.4 was released. I figured with a clean wipe and install everything would be back to normal. Installed fine, restored everything fine, rebooted just so everything would be working properly and then the problem is back again. Is there any way it would be something that I am restoring onto my phone? I still just have no idea...I downloaded a temp virtual home button so it still functions, but I'm at a loss here. Same issue as last time. My home key will turn on the screen, but then is useless after that.

Oh, also I don't have a PC to run Odin on, so is there any way I could flash the stock image from my phone?
OK so i will start off by saying, I have looked EVERYWHERE for a solution. I have seen a couple that have worked for people but nothing will work for me. Everything was fine and working well until i was trying to show my mother-in-law how to go back and fourth from GO locker home screen to regular TW launcher. I went into my apps to clear my defaults but pushed clear data on accident. it took me to my homesceen and my status bar has disappeared. I have tried soft reset, factory reset backup restore and nothing will work to get my status bar back up. Anyone have any ideas on where to go from here? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

First up, please use the Q&A forum for questions. Hopefully my saying it now spares you some flames later. Second, we'll need some more information before we can really help you out. Have you updated to ICS, or are you still running GB? Are you running a custom ROM, and if so, have you changed or updated recently? Are you rooted? We need to know a little bit more about your setup before we can try to help.
Out of curiosity, have you tried installing a different launcher and seeing what happens?

Yeah I apologize I thought I had clicked on the Q&A, tried to delete thread to repost but couldn't. But yes my current build is SKY-ICS RC7, I am rooted. But no I had not updated it since I had installed the ROM about 2 months ago. I have tried to install and run a different launcher but when I try to install ANY launcher from the market I get a message saying "Launcher" could not be downloaded due to an error. (492)". Any suggestions?
Also, like I had mentioned everything was working fine until went to clear defaults on Go launcher app and ended up pushing clear data instead ( accidentally ). IDK if that helps out any...

I had something similar happen to me after downloading an update to Sky 4.2F6. After installing a battery mod, my status bar and wallpaper went away completely. The only solution I found, unfortunately, was a full wipe, and I think that's what I'd try next in your shoes if playing with the launcher isn't working.

Ok so I went to Apps, privacy, and factory reset. That is the full wipe correct? because with that being done should it still reboot into ICS? That is what it is doing and still no status bar

No, I'm talking back up your apps and data, reboot into recovery, backup your device, wipe user data, format /system, reinstall current/install new ROM, etc. There are lots of threads out there detailing what you'll need and how to do it safely. IIRC, the settings-menu factory reset only wipes user data. It won't solve app or system-related problems.
I think I recall an option hiding the bar somewhere, I'll look for it in a few hours. Meanwhile about your download launcher issue, if your trying to download by wifi try by data and vice versa. If this doesn't help go to setting>application and clear data for play store and service framework.
Go to go launcher settings>screen settings and make sure status bar is marked.

OK well I finally got it working using the Darkside Wipe http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487706 . It was helpful and worked perfectly only downfall is everything is off my phone. But at least I have my status bar back. Thx for yals help
I did get 155 to load properly, but I have another question. I tried to use the AOSP lockscreen, and it locked the phone up on reboot. Had to boot to recovery and nandroid back a saved config. Is the AOSP not an option, or is there something I missed?

Reboot into recovery and wipe the cache and Dalvik cache. Only problem is you'll have to do that every time you reboot your phone. No biggie but still an extra couple of steps in case you reboot.
I think a few users have noted that this or something similar happens when the ripple effect, or other TW effects are still enabled when you switch over to AOSP lockscreen. Try turning those off.
Also, r155 is buggy because Esch rushed it for us. He released an improved r169 last night, which has a lot of common r155 bugs fixed. Here's the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792499
