[Q] HTC TD2 Button mapping? - General Questions and Answers

Hey everyone! Im new in smartphone world, so i need your help.
Problem is that I dl-ed a game (tomb raider) and it requires arrow keys to move, but TD2 doesn't have arrow keys. I tought maybe its possible to assign left and right keys on volume buttons and up and down keys on call button and home button.
Except that they should only be like that in games.
So if you know how this can be done, then I would be grateful for your replies.
Thank you!

Can we map button keys through registry?

Just want to know how to map buttons.

why not use the Buttons app to remap the buttons? Start->Settings->Buttons.

Click to collapse
It is very limited, only 4 buttons. You can not remap with it roller buttons - up, down, left, right and middle.
You can use Vito ButtonMapper

or
AE Button+

Sorry, I saw to late that you want to map the buttons through registry. I will dig into the registry to find the keys
I've got an XDA Ignito (Touch Diamond), and it only shows one button (voice speed dial) in the buttons app.
When looking in the registry there is only the key: 40C6, which is the Voice Speed dial, but no other keys.
Is it possible to add a key, and map it to a hardware button, maybe the ones above the phone keys, without using other software like AE Button +?
I have already tried with the keys 40C1-10 and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Any ideas?
Thanks for any replies!
Edit: sorry I just noticed this is in the Polaris forum (was searching for mapping buttons and didnt notice!)

Do you have a Fuze? or another Raphael model? Might need the keyboard fix...
Did you just do a custom ROM flash?

[Q] Button Long Press Mapping

Hey everybody, I've been having some trouble with my Nationite Midnite (Wits A81E).
My hardware buttons (softkeys) for back, menu, and home are broken. I have an app installed that lets me use a touchscreen button for them but the only one that actually works is the home screen button. What I want to try to do is edit the key mappings so that a long press of the functioning volume buttons could be assigned to back and menu. If anyone knows anything about this, please help me! Thanks in advance!

[Q] Question about touch buttons.

I've remapped some of the touch buttons to control buttons in emulators (ex: In a NES emulator, Search is A, Back is B.
The buttons work, however, when I press them they "disable" the screen and vice-versa. I'm thinking this is by design so you don't accidentally press a button while using the screen.
What I'm wondering is, does anyone know of a way to disable this?
I'm also trying to do it for SCUMMVM since many games are hard to play without right click. Right clicking is done by holding down the search button and then tapping the screen. And the Triumph only seems to let you use either the screen or the touch buttons, not both at the same time.
The phone is rooted by the way.
Thanks for any info!
