[EC05 Modem] From DI18 ONLY. Flash with CW

Here is the EC05 Modem in .zip format. Load onto your SD card and flash with ClockWork..... This is for DI18......
I flashed this while on rooted DI18 and it updated the modem fine. It appears to ONLY work if your on DI18. Some Smarter will have to step in to fix that.....

This OTA release appears to be DI18 to EC05 ONLY.... Which makes me wonder what Sprint intends to do for those on EB13.........

I used odin to go back to DI18 and then used the update.zip to go to EC05. Why is everyone saying it's the vanilla launcher? I have touchwiz...

My bad, posted in the wrong thread...In one of the other threads, they were saying that EC05 didn't have touchwiz and it was the vanilla launcher. But that is just when you choose Sprint ID...sorry about that!

The EB13 might get gingerbread
But im on EC05 now so bring on the roms for it!!!!!!

if im running Bonsai 4.0.0 (or MnightROM 5.0) , should i still grab the update once its out for eb13? i used your procedure and got the ec05 modem running already. just confused about if i need this update or not

It's the same thing. Just flashable if your on DI18. Thats all. If you already have it then you don't need to do it again.

Well, I need a dj20 baseband I didnt know what I was doing and flashed ec01 and now my internet doesnt work.

Unfortunately, DJ20 was never made available to us. So there is no way to get the radio back. Your best option it's to flash EB11.
My one question is, why would you flash a 2.2 radio to a 2.1 ROM?

Well, since the links were removed from xda and I was told to not repost them, I don't think that would be a good idea. But if you go to the irc room like it was suggested previously, you can get help there.

Can this just be installed via CWM on top of Serendepidity or any other Gingerbread ROM with little risk?

Forgive me for being a noob (I'm learning) but how come our phone does not have one solid/official CWM? Pretty much every ROM changes CWM. I come from an HTC phone which didn't matter whether or not you flashed 1 or 100 ROMS; CWM wouldn't change.

u mean like to flash stuff? cuz samsung and att doesn't want people knowing how to make their phone better and not have to purchase a new one every 6 months XD lol

Extracting the ICS update .exe file

What did you all use to extract the files from the exe that contains the leak? I have tried Universal Extractor, 7-zip, and winrar to no avail...

You should wait for a flashable rom if you think you you extract files from an exe with winrar.

nothing is extracted its just flashed in download mode via odin provided by the leaker and with a usb cable on a i727 not i727R

i dont fault paul at all.....he was running blind when he built it. now he has unlock, maybe we can get a proper CWM.
i completely borked by cm build environment a while ago....now i have to resync everything
