Well, go figure. I didn't know when the expiration date would hit, and sure enough, today is the day (9/18). If it makes you guys mad, imagine the frustration of the guy who spent dozens of hours relearning photoshop, learning hex color code, finding the tracer hex offset, learning how to properly edit and un-sign an apk file, learning to sign an apk file, re-relearning photoshop to make things look nicer, then re-re-relearning photoshop to make things look even nicer, then re-re-re-relearning photoshop to discover "Actions" that can automate the theming task, then creating five new keyboards, only to find that they've all expired!!!
Well, no regrets, that's my motto... That, and "Everybody Wang-Chung Tonight." At least I now can run Photoshop in my sleep, and maybe my skins I have made will easily port to a new version of Swype+Mic.
Thanks for the compliments and feedback, fellas. I'll take down the APKs to avoid confusion. The project will be on hold until noted otherwise.

It isn't "all black" but it was quick and easy for today. Hopefully that will get you by.
I plan on doing more themes later, as the hard work is done now (photoshop layers ftw).

And I would love a red one with mic. Also does this require me to have a beta test license? I currently use one which does not require a beta license - the droiddoes themed one but some others I have tried say beta trial has expired or something like that.

So I couldn't find any hvga morphs for swype since mostly all of them are now for the wvga resolution screens. I converted this one over from one that Sneaky_Zekey made over @ DroidForums.net.
Update: Black keys with blue glow added, red is next
This does work with the newest beta, aka 2.4.x. This is not an APK

Found a nifty program to scale the pngs from your original theme. Had to look at the resolutions from a hvga and scale accordingly. Still cant figure out why the green swype button in portrait is offset like in my screenshot.

this looks great. I actually tried to do this myself for my Hero, (not a metamorph - just renaming, resizing and dropping the png's into the apk and resigning it), and it worked well enough, but not only was my swype button offset, but my go and sym buttons were at the very bottom of the screen as well, half cut off.
I think part of the issue with the Swype key is that it does not have the same proportions as the HVGA one. The HVGA size is 28x20, I think.
I've attached a few of the resized and renamed pngs from the version I tried to port. Hopefully if you have time you could package them into a morph of the blue version for me with the other files needed (swypelogoicon.png, etc.)

how did you get the tracer to change, every time i try it kills swype function
To change the tracer I just went into the lib folder. Then the armeabi folder, then opened the libSwypeCore.so file using HxD Hex Editor. I only changed the values loacted at 557D8 - 557DB.
I'm about to post my Swype.apk in just a sec, I wanted to remove the Sin Hero off the keyboards so people won't have to be stuck with it on theres.

as I said be4, i dont use morphs, i think u can just stick the changed libswypecore.so in, but I'm not sure. If you need help theming the libswypecore.so (or have no idea what im talking about) pm me.

I recommend uninstalling your current version of Swype, then installing this one. You may lose your dictionary, but it's the only way I think it'll work.

If you backup data with titanium backup before uninstalling, then uninstall the old one, install the new one, and restore data, you'll have all of your dictionary still there.
So I am not a big fan of the stock Droid X lockscreen, however I do like the regular Vanilla Lockscreen. Over on XDA I found some dark vanilla lockscreen sliders and decided to mod them for my Droid X.
As of right now I haven’t added a vibrate icon with the right slider. Sliding from right to left will either turn sound on, or turn on vibrate mode. Also they are only supported in portrait mode.
Also I am not responsible for any and all damage this may do to your phone/device, neither is wjddesigns.com.
Also please bear in mind I am not a themer or a dev, just sharing something.I use for my own personal device.

Yeah, this is pretty slick. I love the mod but unfortunately, whether I try to flash this before or after a theme (like you said in the OP) I lose part of the theme (or statusbar mod) I'm running. They (framework mods) seem to overwrite each other.
Very cool mod though.

You should upload the lockscreen buttons as a metamorph theme... that way, it will only replace the lockscreen on a persons Droid X, no matter what theme they have.

Right now my own vanilla mix....but in the pics I was using galaxy s with grey bar.
amazing. i applied the metamorph, and there is now almost 0 lag when unlocking. seems almost impossible that the stock images were causing the lag before. placebo effect, perhaps?

Instructions on Metamorph:
Download Metamorph (Market app)
Open Metamorph and Start Checks
Choose "Unzip/Extract new theme"
Navigate to where you downloaded the Metamorph theme. (There is an arrow button at the bottom right that will take you to the root of your sdcard)
Choose the .zip and select "Apply all!"
The phone will reboot and you will be forced to enjoy your new lockscreen
just noticed when taking the X off of the car dock that the stock sliders are still there in landscape. just thought you'd like to be aware.

Lmao...yeah it reverts to stock while in landscape...which really only happens when using cardock...
These were made by me. I had to actually kinda make them (Even though HTC made them), the lock, and several other things I had to manually put on the image, but I think it turned out nice. I'm excited that you liked them. I was going to package them up, but I had no idea if the leaked framework apk would work on stock. Again awesome work, and thanks.

Hey guys I don't know about you but I really like the basic GB theme that has come out on Kejar's and Drods roms...BUT...that ORANGE had to go...so it went in favor of the awesome green. I also edited and changed all the stock Android widgets to match the current YouTube so it keeps everything uniform but with the "new stock" look(decompiled, optimized and recompiled )...I would first and foremost like to thank Kejar and Drod as they are currently developing my favorite roms. Secondly the XDA community as a whole specifically Dr. Coverdale(for his awesome tutorial on draw9patch and editing .9 pngs), Stericson (for the freaking awesome Metamorph and NinjaMorph and all his tutorials)well to be honest the list is long and prestigious so again a big thanks to XDA as a whole.

Here is my "personal preference" Metamorph...This changes the tabs on the dialer and removes the lines from under the numbers on the dialer and incall phone pad it also removes the green button press. Also this will add the round smileys to framework-res, Mms and Talk. I also changed the music widget and icon images. This will likely be the last mods on this theme as I am(and I'm sure alot of us are.) awaiting the drop of Liberty rom and the next Rubix but if interest in this theme is maintained I will port it to support Kejar/Jrummy and Drod's next developments...screen shots below...

Here's the themed LP by Benny879 you must have the plus version to use the widgets. Also included in the zip is a set of GB icons by Fab from his ApeX rom. (A very good rom for those looking for a compromise between aosp/blur.) Also a dock that I resized and edited from a com.htc.resources.apk(I included the blank icon for the launcher.) Here's a screenie of the widgets incase you missed it in the op.
Here is a battery percentage mod requested by one of our members...

Attached is a metamorph theme for this mod...
1. Download Metamorph from Market (free version available)
2. Download attached theme
3. Place zip in "Android Themes" folder this will be automatically generated by Metamorph
4. Unzip extract new
5. apply all and reboot

thanks! one thing this theme is missing is battery %. other than that just needs a few more icons and it would be perfect. i will def be using this for a while. thanks

Yeah I was looking at battery percentages but the battery is kind of small and verticle making it a bit difficult...but I may have a solution come tomorrow. What other icons would you like?

market mainly. other than that facebook, tapatalk and pandora :-D that would cover everything I need.

I really like GJ the way it was with the gingerbread look. Well I thought I did till I found this theme. This gave the rom the finishing touches I was looking for and I feel should have been included to make it perfect in both form and function. There are two versions now. One is the stand alone keyboard which doesn't replace your current keyboard.
The second version is flashable and it includes VOICE SEARCH! This one will replace your current keyboard. It is tested on Gingerbread and Froyo.
You can manually backup your keyboard apk via adb if you are confident what you are doing or I recommend a complete nandroid backup to make your life easier

The Facebook mod is really excellent but the (orange keyboard) is really funky. It's squashed down at the bottom of the screen (like the bottom 1/8) in landscape & the portrait is even worse as besides being squashed it also use the same layout as the landscape.

It's because the settings are not meant for milestone, extract your keyboard for me and attach it here so I can see what settings you have, I have a nexus one so can't predict

I' using a flashable Gingerbread keyboard I got somewhere here on XDA. I've been playing with trying to change the letters to orange but haven't figured out what need to be changed yet. This is my first android phone & there is a lot to learn. BTW your theming guides have been really helpful too.
