OK, so I've been using Android Kitchen (URL provided) to modify other ROMS (not CM6 cuz the kitchen is not compatible) to add my own apps and whatnot. So I flash nightly about ever couple of days or so, and hate having to flash the core CM zip and then gapps then copy over my apps, and do mods that I like, etc.
Now you can do all of that in one shot here's how.
In this example, I will demonstrate adding Gapps, change density of LCD, and add my own apps to /system/app (note, this might prevent market from auto update on your apps).
1. Download nightly zip
2. Extract it using your favorite zip program
3. You should get a directory (if not unzip it into a directory) of CM6.
To change LCD Density:
4. go into /system/ folder and open build.prop and look for "ro.sf.lcd_density" and change the value to some'n you like. I have mine at 170 instead of 240 (default)
5. Save the file and do a chmod 755 system/build.prop
Note: I'm not sure if step 5 matters but I thought I would put it back to original state when it was found in the archive.
To Add Gapps:
6. Download Gapps zip file
7. Extract to a directory other than the ROM directory
8. Go into system folder and copy over all the respective files in the folders into CM6 corresponding folder. For example: Gapps => /system/app/Vending.apk then you will copy that apk into /CM6_extracted_folder/app/ and so on so forth.
To add your own apps:
9. Simply add all apks into /CM6_extracted_folder/app/
10. Do a chmod -R 755 /CM6_extracted_folder/app/
Note: same note as in step #5.
Putting it all together:
11. Now create an zip archive with your favorite zip app
12. Add all the contents of /CM6_extracted_folder/ into the archive. NOT the /CM6_extracted_folder/ folder itself but everything underneath it.
13. IMPORTANT: DO NOT set any compression rate, just add it as normal rate (default in most app). I tried it with diff. compression rate and recovery flash have hard time reading it.
After all of that you should have the following folder structure in your archive:
boot.img
META-INF
system
If you don't see it like that then redo ur archive.
Now you can transfer the file over to sdcard and flash it all in one sweep.
If you really want to get fancy, you can write script to automate all of this.

Things you'll need :- 1. Auto sign tool2. update-binary for FIT3. update-script(If you don't know how to make, then use the one provided in the zip file. It can be used to copy files in the system folder to the /system/ of the phone)
DOWNLOAD LINK :- w w w . multiupload .c o m / K2QQNT3W2N
NOTE :- Make sure you make a backup of the files you are flashing. For backup you can refer to the docs and download "deodexed update.zip" for your respective ROM !!
Lets get started :-1. Make a new folder on the desktop and rename it as "TEST"2. Make this structure of folders in the TEST folder
------META-INF>>>>COM>>>>GOOGLE>>>>ANDROID
TEST-----
------SYSTEM3. Now add whatever you want to flash Eg. You want to flash /app/systemUI.apk and /framework/framework-res.apk
Sol. 1. Create two folders named "app" and "framework" within "TEST>>>SYSTEM" 2. Put your files in the respective folders.
4. Now put "update-script" and "update-binary" in "meta-inf>com>google>android". (Provided in REPLICA in zip file !! ENJOY )
5. Now select the "META-INF" and "SYSTEM" folder together and compress it and make a file named "update.zip".
6. Put the update.zip in the "Auto-Sign" folder and run the" Sign.bat". Press any key to continue..
7. Now you'll get a "signed_update.zip" in the same folder !!
8. Flash it via RECOVERY....
the file was deleted...
Hello Guys,This is an updated guide for creating an update.zip for your rom.I know that there are a few guides out there but i think my guide is a bit simpler and straight forward.
Step 1:
Download AutoUpdateCreator_V1.1
Step 2:Extract file and click on "CreateUpdateZip.exe"
Step 3: You can either drag your created zip file or press ENTER (If you did not compress your rom yet)
Step 4:Now drag & drop your ROM Folder in the program
**NOTE** Structure of ROM folder should be as follows:
ROM FOLDER(Containing)
---System
---Data
Note: If you get an error it means that your ROM Structure is incorrect!!)
Step 5:Now that everything is done, zip is signed go to GENERATED ZIPS in autoupdatecreator folder.
Step 6:Copy your update-script in your generated zip file at /META-INF/COM/GOOGLE/ANDROID/
(Do NOT replace Update-binary file!)
Other Notes:
(Update Script must be created, there are templates available)
(Editing Update Script with normal windows text editor will cause Status 6 Error)
(Adding an incorrect or non existing file in update-script will also give you a Status 6 Error)
Cheers
Thanx for work.means now i can convert .tar files into zip?and can flash from cell

MPORTANT:
1) you need a rooted device ( don't know how to root core, just google it or follow instructions below)
2) a root explorer (attached here, very good one)
3) if you have cwm things will be easy
4) busy box (download busy box installer and install busy box. And run mount system R/W script)
5) backup of your rom before executing any anything
6) a helathy and peace ful mind
Instructions:
So you have every necessary thing mentioned above let's begin with work
A) For .qmg boot animations
1) download any .qmg extension file from the link
(https://m.app.box.com/view_shared/w...achment.php?attachmentid=2164433&d=1375631419)
2) rename the file to bootsamsung.qmg
3) open root explorer and navigate to System> media and paste the renamed file
4) long press on the file bootsamsung.qmg (if you are using root explorer attached here) select prrmission and set it to -rw-r-r
(For newbie just tick all 3 checkboxes in first coloum and first check box of second column or best way is to see the permission of other file )
5) reboot and enjoy
6) before altering backup your orignal bootsamsung.qmg file
B) to change shut down amimation
1) download .qmg format file
2) rename it to shutdown.qmg
3) open root explorer and navigate to System> media> video> shutdown
4) paste renamed file and set permissions mentioned above
C) changing boot sound
1) select any .mp3 file (preferably small size and it should be for 15 -20 seconds)
2) just rename the file to PowerOn.ogg be careful for capitalization of P and O while renaming
(Renaming is very easy using root explorer)
3) open root explorer and navigate to System > media > audio> ui
4) paste renamed file here and set permissions as mentioned above
D) for .zip boot animation file
1) download bootanimation.zip file (one attached here)
2) paste the file to System > media and paste the file and set right permission
3) download the enable.zip attachment and decompress it you will find a file named bootanimation
4) paste the file to System > bin and set permissions to -rwxr-xr-x (or just see the permissions of file above that and give same permission)
Now your bootanimation.zip file is active and bootsamsung.qmg will stop working
5) backup orignal bootanimation file from system> bin. So that if you want bootsamsung.qmg to work again just paste back orignal file and give right permissions. This will stop bootanimation.zip
E) if you have CWM
Just reboot to revovery, wipe cache, install
enable_custom_bootanimation.zip, mount system and reboot
F) using the root explorer ( it has name file manager)
For making it root explorer just go to settings of file manager. Tick root explorer tick box and give superuser permession and the tick mount system as writable
2) for setting permisdion or renaming just long press on file
3) beaware that you need to sprcify file format in this explorer while rename
For example if you want to rename example.mp3 to song.mp3 rename exactly as song.mp3 just renaming the file to song will mot do.
For changing .mp3 to .ogg just put a .ogg after file name. Example song.mp3 -- rename as song.ogg
4) while pasting files to system override the previous files
G) HOW TO ROOT
1) JUST download framaroot from link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2164433&d=1375631419
2) install framaroot. Open it select install SuperSU
3) select GANDALF press ok and reboot
4) open supersu and update superuser binary if prompted.
This is my first post to xda.
don't flash enable.zip or boitaimation.zip only flashable file is enable_custom_bootanimation.zip

TWRP Flashable Zip - Sample
About
This is a sample zip i.e Empty, with this you can move anything (for say: apps, fonts, boot anim, libs/hals, build.prop etc) to your system partition easily.
How-to?
Extract the zip
Now copy-paste the stuff you want to flash
normally compress the zip again
Go to TWRP
Flash and Reboot.
Hit thanks and Enjoy xD
Download
Attached below - click click
Notes
For anything you want to flash/move to system: You will have to first make a folder inside the system folder for ex
You want to push a lib in lib64 folder for that you need to create a folder as 'lib64' inside the system folder
so the path will be : (flashable zip)/system/lib64/(your file)
Lets say :-
For Apps:
(flashable zip)/system/app/(your app)
For Fonts:
(flashable zip)/system/fonts/
For Boot anim:
(flashable zip)/system/media/(bootanimation.zip)
PS : Sorry for Typos if any.

Now is the important part. Install Winrar Then open the .apk by right clicking the file -> open with -> WinRar. Now you can look around the .apk file. Find a file inside the .apk you wish to edit. (In my case I'm going to navigate to res -> mipmap-hdpi -> ic_launcher_settings.png). Just drag the file from the .apk and edit to your liking.
NOTE: It is recommended never to completely take everything out of the .apk and then put it all back in. Just do one file at a time.
Then when your finished, select the old file in the .apk and press the delete button. Now drag in the new edited file into where you found it. Easy!
have fun
