My Chome to Phone is no longer working after root. I searched around and couldnt find an answer to whether it is something with root that messes up the app or what. Is anyone else having this problem. And is there maybe a fix that I couldnt find with the search?
Im on Fresh 3.2 with King #9 Kernel if that makes a difference.
uninstall, clear dalvik, re-install, open and run through setup, then see if it works (if you have not done already). happened to me, had to uninstall and reinstall a few times to get it to work (and somewhere in there tried a different browser which re-initialized the account on the PC side of things, which seemed to have something to do with it).

+1, Had the same problems last weekend, uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it
Ok ill try reinstalling a couple more times. Then Ill try clearing the cache. Thanx for the help

did you try a different browser, or re-installing the plugin (if using firefox) to get it to redo the google account association?
I have the same problem, tried different chrome and firefox. Reflashed a different rom. Installed, uninstalled on both ends, linked unlinked. Even tried linkpush app. Nothing. Running AuraxTSense right now, happened after I installed Lambros. Wiped Dalvik. When I click the push link it says sent to phone, but nothing pops up. Tried with both a website and a map. Currently running Dolphin HD.
Any ideas, searched everywhere.
A new version of Chrome to Phone was released onto the market place this afternoon so give that a try also!

how i got it working again
i had this problem and was really pissed that it stopped working.
i have 2 google accounts and when i chose to use the other account, the program asked again for permissions, once granted, the links started to come through again!

What rom are you using? Not had that before. Seems something may be wrong with accessing your internal space- assuming that is where the bookmarks are going.
So far, I have had problems with Tapatalk, but wiping data for the app in Titanium fixed it.
Zpad 2.2... I've tried the wipe in titanium. The odd thing is, no matter how i uninstall or how many times, everytime I reinstall; it always starts by asking if I want to start a new session or restore from last. Like there is still residue there, not fully uninstalling?

I don't think it's gtab issue either as it's works for weeks with no issues. Didnt know for the 'more experienced' with dolphin is there may have been something else that needed to be cleared or another way to remove any residue in an uninstall that I may have missed to get a better 'cleaner' install
I am having the same issue with dolphinHD and force closes. It happens when I use the search hard key.
I installed a ROM and the market app is black and says " The application Market (process com.adroid.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
Any ideas?

This is WHY they have minimum post settings.
I spent a week reading about the bolt, how to root it, etc., etc. Before doing anything. Read, and then read some more before tinkering around with it. Use nandroid backup before making changes.

I know there is some issues with market on the mr2 radio as far as the way the dev of your Rom needed to set it up so it would allow downloading of certain protected apps but sounds like you are taking right steps to try and get back to a functioning market

I have had the same issues and this fixed it.
I posted a topic about this about a week ago after installing MR2. There is an issue with Google recognizing and updating your info that is in some way related to the 4G SIM.
I kid you not....this is how to fix it...... It has happened to me twice the last week as I got an AE.
1. Wait. No matter what I did, it seemed to never "Come back" until about 48 hrs.
2. Clear the Market cache and data
3. Stop the market service
4. Sing into and out of Google talk like you are on OCD.
Pissed the second day I had this happened, I was sitting at a bar listening to some girl go on and on about something so I started signing in and out of Google talk like 14 - 16 times....... Opened the market...no problem!
For "Must have apps, go to the online market place via your computer and push them to your phone. That always worked for me no matter what. Good luck!
May have been answered before but searching didn't bring anything up for me. Basically I want to clear the data backed up on my Google account regarding Android (WiFi, Market apps, Settings, etc) so I can start again.
Anyone know how to do it?
OK, managed to find somewhere that if you go into your Privacy settings and uncheck the backup option it says it'll delete everything. Is this correct?

Quick edit: Turning off backup DOES delete settings relating to the phone but NOT the Market. Must be a separate backup which I can't find!
EDIT: OK, sign into your Google Dashboard and you can see what's backed up and when but you CANNOT delete it. Why the hell not?!?!

Bloody well hope not! I've emailed Google so we'll see what comes of it but surely if you delete an app it should NOT come back the next time!
On a related note, anyone know why some apps I install are NOT listed under 'My Apps'? I'm guessing it's linked to my account somehow but, again, it's annoying!
Erm depends if they where downloaded from Google it self or if sourced from some where else they won't show up I should know

Menu/more/market doctor and it will fix broken links to Google market

Randomly enough, it seems to have worked anyway! It said I may have to 'download any app' to get it up to scratch and, seeing as Superuser needing updating, I did it. It now shows all Market apps in My Apps!
Yh I did it I was playing around and now I have like 20 updates but can't update them.as there ermmmm not from Google

I'm just glad to have it sorted, was doing my nut in! At least now everything is cleared and setup from scratch so hopefully won't have to complain again. Still think Google should have the option
After I flashed the recently released gingerbread leak for the droid charge (ep4p) through Odin, I haven't been able to download or update anything from the android market. It gives me the error "[application name]" could not be downloaded due to an error. (-101) I've tried basically everything I could google/search on forums and nothing has worked. I also have flashed the new GummyCharged and Humble 5. I've tried;
Force closing/wiping data for Market, Download Manager, and Google Services Framework
Factory Resetting the phone
Wiping cache/dalvik cache
Reverting back to EP3HA 2.3.5 (which I was originally on and the market worked just fine)
"Fixing" my phone indicated by imnuts
I have noticed that associating a different google account to my phone enabled me to download apps again, but this is not helpful at all since all my contacts and purchases are associated with my original google account that I've been using. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated with this issue. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I tried installing apps from the android market on my computer, which works just fine. Only when I try to download the app on my phone does it give me the error.

What were you running in the first place with your contacts etc?

You might have to edit a file in the build.prop.

I was originally on this build, flashed to EP4P, and then reverted back to it.

Thanks for trying :/ I really hope someone knows a solution to this. It's been driving me up the wall
did you clear the market app data/cache from application option in phone settings after you installed the new market? try clearing those and if possible unlink your google account from any google apps and clear those apps data/cache in settings as well then log in to all of them again and try downloading from the market
I had a similar problem where it did this on the deodexed/debloated EP4D.
Market always crashed right before download started.
I tried numerous things, but ended up Odining the ROM again. I started up the Market, signed in, let it do its thing. I recall it updated the Market.
I then built up from there with no issues.
I've had some annoying-ass problems with the Market before on different ROMs/kernels, tried all kinds of stuff, and just re-flashed to end the problem once and for all.
Have you tried to odin back to ee4 and accept the OTA for EP4? if it still has issues when bone stock the there is obviously some other underlying issue .

After being frustrated for many hours about this I decided to set the problem aside and come back to it at a later time. After a few hours of letting my phone sit, I tried to download something for the hell of it and for some reason my market was functioning perfectly normal again. I don't understand why or how it happened, but it's like it never happened. To anyone trying to find a solution to this same problem, I can only hope the same happens to you as well. I hope this works. I called google to see what's up. Let's see what they can do. First level support didn't really know what to do.
I don't know if this is still true, but in the past people had market problems if google talk wasn't installed.

If you look at the logcat, you will see that there was an unexpted error there.
That HTTP error code 509 signals a bandwidth overage; to be more precise, the server will refuse the google account because you downloaded too much in a 24 hour window. This isnt just a google problem, i believe it is an Apache problem in general.
It is my first day with the phone and i have been downloading like crazy from it.

I've had the problem for days now and didn't download much of anything before it happened...
Galaxy Nexus 4.0.1 ECL53F AR HD 1.3.3 stock kernel
I had the same issue on my Galaxy Nexus after flashing a custom rom. This is what I did to fix it.
Go to market.android.com and install an app from there to your phone.
However, if you are getting a 509 Error Code in logcat which is what I am experiencing right now, then you need to just wait until the bandwidth subsides.
I hope someone maybe able to help, I'm using OP6 9.0.3 rooted. The download progress arrow used to work but now any downloads do not show in progress, I only get the arrow to show completed. I can't remember changing any settings. I have swift installer so uninstalled that to test but doesn't seem to be the problem. I think it happened after updating kiwi browser but I tried a download with chrome and its the same issue. I'm baffled, hope someone can shed some light on it

I have chrome installed but hide it from launcher. I use Kiwi all the time. I think maybe coincidentally this happened after updating Kiwi.
I have since tried downloading with Chrome but same issue persists.
Edit: was such a bloody annoying bug that I factory reset, now it works fine again. Just don't know why it happened in the first place!

ohh ok, as long as its sorted, I use kiwi and opera, had that bug, i re-installed the ROM without wiping anything got it sorted, but in my personal opinion its something to do with the permissions of download manager, and i keep all permissions ticked on both browsers. cheers.

Cheers for response, appreciate it. Yeah I have all permissions set correctly. It just vanished one day for no apparent reason. If happens again I'll just dirty flash rom.
