DownloadManager from Redsea Software has been removed from the Market. I have the other software from that developer but it requires DownloadManager to work fully.
I spent an hour and a half scouring the Internet last night trying to find it and all I've come across are broken links.
If anyone could upload the .apk for DownloadManager from Redsea Software I'd be really appreciative.
I realize I probably posted this in the wrong section. Would a moderator please move it to Android Development and Hacking/Android Apps and Games?
In General, About XDA, there is a sticky for requests to mods. They will help you no prob.

Thanks for moving this
I find some cool Android download manager but i don't know these are from Redsea Software or any other. However, you may try these top 3 download managers for Android.

My Android Portal is a site I built to help out the android community. There are no ads and I don't sell anything. It's 100% paid for by me. The purpose of the site is to make it easier to find anything you're looking for that is Android related. I'm not trying to steer anyone away from this site, just attempting to make the search easier. The site contains links to tools you will need, guides on how to do various things, and numerous links to damn near everything. So, if you are having trouble finding what you looking for go check out my site. And yes I do link back to XDA, you just end up going where you need to be instead of going through thread after thread.

Interesting, good luck with it.
Hello Android users and devs!
First of all I want to apologize for posting in the General Discussion, but I do not have enough posts to do it in the Development Section.
Also I am not aware whether this has been already discussed or is it forbidden (I didn't found such restrictions in the rules)
Anyway, since I got my Desire S this forum is the primary source of information for me, as well as for all the other visitors around.
And especially when it comes to custom rom files there are troubles with dead links, crappy file sharing sites with stupid limitations, etc.
So I think it will be much more convenient for everyone (devs and users) to use the torrent system via magnet link (combined with QR scan maybe) for all the files that are posted around here. The download speed will be much better and all that have downloaded the file once will contribute by seeding it to the others. And of course via the appropriate client the files can be downloaded directly to the SD Card (this is of course possible now through the phone web browser, but a lot of steps are required - waiting, human security check forms, etc.).
Looking forward to your comments.

I'd suggest that you post this question within this the XDA forum in the chance that one of the mods will answer as this relates to rules and policy and isn't something that a member can answer.
Thank you for your reply! I agree on the policy matter, but my general idea was to start a discussion on this topic. In my opinion the torrent system is much more friendly when it comes to file sharing and I was curious is there people around that agree on that, especially the regular users like me and also the developers that are posting files all the time. One of the advantages as well is that on single torrent there can be multiple files attached.
So what do you think?
Sounds like a great idea

I totally agree with you, but unfortunately if the people here at XDA don't then its a wasted discussion.
Ok, there is the new thread. Let's see what will be the verdict
Hello,
I did some research before posting (Google and here and what I found is either outdated or not working currently). But, still, I apologize if I missed a similar thread or one that is exactly what I'm looking for.
So I'm looking for either instructions on how to develop a MIUI V4 theme (I'd probably use Illustrator and Photoshop for graphics)
OR
A full graphical development program. I did find one http://miuithe.me/ but I get a "database" error message when trying to load up the website. Does anyone know if that site has been down for a while? Or, is this something that should be fixed soon because I would like to check the program out soon.
I pulled the link from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1563780 which was originally posted "25th March 2012" so I'm assuming that this program is still relevant in MIUI theming it may just be that the website hosting the download and all information is down.
In conclusion if anyone has information I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance!

Ok so I made a thread in the Android development and hacking Q&A, help and troubleshooting section but couldn't get a response. So I came back home to my g2x family to see if any of the developer-minded people can help me out. Basically all I am trying to do is theme (change the background) an application that I downloaded from the market. I decompiled, swapped png's, recompiled, signed, and pushed it to my phone. This application requires connection to an online server in order to function. My new background shows up when the application opens into the loading/connecting screen but as soon as it goes into the main UI, after it connecting to the server, it goes back to the original background. Is there anyway I can make my image changes "stick" AFTER it loads onto the server?

Thanks!
I think from what i've read in the blacked out app threads if the app has web content those parts can't be themed since they aren't in the app itself. That's my noobish 2 cents.
That is the answer I was expecting =(. Twitch, you're anything but a newb get outta here man lol. I"M a newb!
Hey there,
I'd like to know if anyone out there tried to use the new Samsung tablet UI on other devices. If so, how did the experience go? I have a feeling that it wouldn't work if I just took the APK out of a system dump and pushed it to my device (like it wouldn't work for the stock launchers of most devices out there, their full functions are usually buried somewhat deep in the system, like on the framework or even deeper sh*t the manufacturer decides), but I think it's worth asking.
Plus, is there a specific forum for app/ports/whatever-like-this requests? I see there is this Q&A board and the apps board, plus device-specific app requests threads over various forums, but I really don't know where would an app request with no specific device in mind would go. If there is such forum already, I'd like to know (and have this thread moved there, if possible), because I couldn't find it easily.
Thanks in advance for any help in any of the matters.
