i have HTC HD and after installing the adndroid 2.2 and hitting the adroid button from the programs it starts loading and stoped stating :
waiting for SD card
i formated the SD (FAT 32) but it did not work
i tried another SD card but i received the same message.
please advise how i can resolve this problem.

I have a HTC touch pro 2 (tmobile) and the Micro SD disappears from file explorer every time the device powers off (standby) and I turn it on again. This is solved by reinserting the SD card (Sandisk SD HC 8 GB Class 6) or soft resetting but these are temporary solutions. I have searched allll of the internets and have found no working solution. Things tried so far:
change reg values

I am really desperate to solve this issuse because reinserting sd card requires me taking off my case. Please, please please help me. I have tried everything. The SD card works when I plug into PC, just when I put it into my TP2 it plays up If you need any aditional info please dont hesitate

i had installed wp7 using 4gb card and continued the sd partition method ....... when i try to install android which i had downloaded from the post([JAN 29.2]Copes AOSP SD HD2 GB232/CM7 A2SD [kernel:warrenb's hastarin853+]) the screen freezes at the setup wizard .....
i redid the wp7 installation and did sd partition
but yet the same result ........
please, do help me to sort this problem out.....

Hi everyone!
I am very new to this forum as well as any deep knowledge of Android OS.I have a problem with my Htc Magic phone. It doesn't read sd cards anymore; every sd card (new or used) I put in the phone it says the same message (while my pc can read them using a card reader) "SD card blank or has unsupported filesystem". I tried to format the SD card both with pc and phone, with no results.
I had already taken the following steps :-
1) Formatted the card using PC & Phone
2) Formatted the card using SD Formatter v3.0
3) Reseated the SD card after pulling it out,pushing it back in and rebooting
4) Reverted back to Android 1.6 after an official Android 2.2 update
5) Run Anti-virus check on the whole mobile using Dr.Web android anti-virus app.
6) Physically opened up phone to check all the connectors are intact, which are
indeed intact and packed the phone again.
All these steps taken but nothing, the problem still persists.Is this some kind of hardware failure or a unknown software glitch.Many people are facing this issue but no proper resolution to this problem.
I would also like to add that while reverting my phone from Android 2.2 to 1.6, the phone was able to read image file "sappimg" from the sd card in recovery mode, but after that when the phone booted the same error message is coming up.
Guys please help me out on this if U have some solution as I am clueless now.

hi all i have a SE w8 and i have a 8GB apacer class 10 micro SD card ..and lately a warning keeps popping out saying my sd card is damaged and called me to format it and so i did but after that it's not resolved ...so i click format again and again with no luck , out of ideas i reflash my w8 to stock 2.1 but the problem is still there!! i tried my sis's SD card and is readable for a few minutes then the warning appeared again , itried my old 2GB sd card and the same thing happens! so i reflash again for like 6 times and the nightmare is finally over ..but i am sure it will come back so i did not put anything to my phone yet , i encoutered this problem bvefore when i was partritioning my sd card (i failed) i just format and it's done ..a few weeks ago this problem did occur and i just reboot my phone and all is done ..so imma just wonering is this a hardware or software problem ?is there a solution?

Hi everyone,
My Sensation XE is running stock ROM, no root whatsoever.
& it has been repeatedly having "SD card removed expectedly" issue.
When the issue appeared, the phone couldnt read the SD card. I've swapped a new card & I still get the same problem.
All I could do is to turn the phone off, remove the card, re-insert the card, turn the phone back on.
Any advice please?

Same here with my sensation XE.When it gets heated after prolong use especially on games, it gives me this same error message on sd card unmounts unexpectedly
I have the same problem with my HTC Sensation XE phone.
I have already done all its updates - it has SENSE 3.6 and runs on Android 4.0.3.
It has never been rooted, it runs on the original HTC software.
I am using an 16GB SD card on it - major brand, I believe it is SanDisc.
The problem always appears when I try to update an app that is installed on the SD card, or when I try to record a video, or when I try anything with an app that starts using the SD card.
It was doing it rarely before, and now it does it twice a day.
It is very annoying.
The only thing that fixes this is to restart the phone 2 times in a row, as by first restart the SD card is still invisible.
Anyone has any idea how to fix this problem?

Have you tried removing the SD card and putting it back?
I had this issue for a day before. I removed and inserted it back, did a full wipe and it was fixed.

no nothing happened .. i am getting this issue with 8gb sd card .. while phone working fine with 2gb sd card
