These 3rd party batteries dont really offer what they say probably its even worse than the stock 1500mAh
alright. if anyone have tested this batt pls feedback
so did you end up buying the mugen 1600mAH battery ? If yes, how did it go ?
Mugen batteries are very good. I used to own one for a samsung PDA i had a while back and was far superior to other 3rd party batteries i tried.
I can't imagine you getting much out of an extra 100mah though? For example if you get 8 hours use from the device you would expect a return of around 8.5 hours with the extra 100mah. Of course this is an approximation but it gives you an idea. Just take the time you normally get from the current battery and divide by 15 then times by 16 and you will get a very rough estimate as to how much will be gained.
Thanks for the info. I bought a third party (not Mugen) 1500mAh battery but the battery life is much shorter than the original battery , so i was just wondering if this Mugen 1600mAh one is really slightly better than my original samsung battery
I got this Mugen 1600mAh battery last week. It works great. To me, it lasts much longer than my original 1500mAh battery (about 3-4 hrs more). I highly recommend it.

Can anyone confirm this to be true?
Check out http://batteryboss.org/
You'll be lucky if a higher mAh battery designed to fit in the standard bay, even ones from branded third parties like Andida or Mugen, will be as good as the OEM.
Avoid the ebay non branded, loads of re-badged rubbish not even close to the printed value.
I have found this on their site and sounds good. Any experience with their batteries?

Capacities were measured down to 3.1V's (well below the point where you phone will no longer power up from the battery)
Stock battery capacity = 1099mAH
Anonymous 1500mAH = 990mAH (Only 843mAH on the second)
Anonymous 1800mAH = 1224mAH
Chichitec 1800mAH = 1386mAH
As a side note, the 1800mAH battery ordered from above had a space under the sticker to fill the battery up to the full form factor of the EVO, so a real 1800mAH battery will probably fair even better.
The discharge graph is attached
Bumping this because I cant believe you put up actual test and number and no one cares to blow this up like the 10 other threads!!.. Id love to know what the 1800 will be at in after a few charges? for 5ish bux its worth it to have an extra hour or two as long as it doesn't surprise you one day and last 2 hrs.
The fact it lasts longer than the stock battery by 20% is already rather nice for just $5.
For Archive Purpose
I will test the 1800 again in a few weeks.
However it is the 1500mAH ones that I worry about with their sporadic discharge pattern.

Have you had a chance to test the mugen 1800?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
How did you test it? I wouldn't mind being able to test a battery I've got coming to me.
I based the design off of this instructable:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Arduino-True-Battery-Capacity-Tester-Li-IonNiMH/
The thing about the design is that you have to calibrate it yourself, just once, because the code used on the arduino wants to know the exact resistance value of your dummy load.
You can google some ways to get a more accurate reading of your load to get truer numbers.
But with the original htc battery testing at 1100mAH's of its 1300maH's after several months of use, I figured mine was accurate enough.
But accuracy aside, it is very consistant. I checked the new battery twice, and it gave the exact same results each time. So all the results are highly accurate when just compairing to each other.
Awesome results ! Any info on the Mugen 1800 ?
I think I have enough batteries at the moment, so i can't justify the Mugen 1800. It was fun testing them all though and knowing exactly which one was the best.
Even I thought those first two 1500mAH batteries gave the "15% better battery life" than stock. So it is nice to take the guess work out of it and know it was all in my head.

Has anyone purchased one of these so-called OEM batteries?
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/OEM-1500mAh-...141606?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item255ecad726
This one claims to be a Desire Z OEM battery rated at 1500mah. Isn't the OEM battery only 1300mah or was there another one that was released?
Also, has anyone any luck with the 3500mah ebay extended batteries? How are the doors and are they at least 2600mah?
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/3500mAh-Exte...863751?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item5642245107
Yeah, I see on T-Mobile's website, the G2 also has 1300mAh. I wouldn't recommend buying a third party battery though, just watch this video about a PSP having a third party battery.
http://www.gametrailers.com/user-movie/psp-explodes-in-pocket/172723
It's a matter of buying a good, name brand battery. 3rd party or OEM doesn't matter if it's a good quality and the listed mAh rating is accurate. You get what you pay for 90% of the time...
eBay is filled with counterfeits, and lots of items marked "OEM" when they aren't OEM. I'd stay away from buying things like batteries and SD memory from eBay, unless you know for fact the seller is offering legit goods.
The pic looks hokey, also. It looks like a stick-on label, instead of the screen printing I've see on HTC OEM batteries. I'd be willing to bet this is a knockoff, misrepresented by seller, etc.
I can vouche for HTCpedia having purchased several extended batteries from there myself
Here's there Desire Z section

I recently purchased the Anker, I believe, 1600mah from amazon. Battery life is better than the OEM.
I would personally stick with the stock 1300mah battery, and UC the cpu to save battery life. Unless your original battery has gone bad and you need to replace it altogether. I'm always weary about 3rd party accessories.

The Incredible S has a 1500mah battery that's the same size. I'm not sure where to get one in Canada though (can anyone enlighten me?).
For that matter, if the Anker is available in Canada I'd be interested in knowing where too.
I have links below that sell Anker Batteries.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=...ndex=aps&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325
http://www.ebay.com/sch/laptopmate_...&_odkw=&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3911.c0.m270.l1313
Based on the price for the battery listed, this may be a little out of your range, but I picked up this one on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004M8RWLG
And it really picked up the slack from the 1300mah OEM battery, and still fits under the stock battery cover
HTH
Battery life on my G2, even when overclocked to 1512Mhz on the stock CM kernel, is pretty good. HTC has been really slacking off with battery life lately *coughDOUBLESHOTcough*.
Well, I've received my Anker 1600mah battery.
Since it doesn't claim the world, I'm thinking it might actually be true (unlike the Seidio or Mugen "1900mah" batteries that end up only 1300mah).
Even if it's just 1300mah, the price is right =)
Can you post any "Better battery stats" logs or verify how much capacity it actually has?
Interestingly enough, I have some records from the tests I've been running this weekend. This battery has been surprisingly decent considering I only expected 1300mah (from the advertised 1600mah) out of it.
Code:
ILWT 285
1.5GHz Performance
Airplane Mode
Minimum brightness
MX Player SW Fast
Stretch Mute
Battery discharged to 89% before recharging back to 100% waiting for the trickle recharge to stop before starting video and unplugging. Device running until 15% warning which is dismissed and then run until device auto shuts off.
Anker - Claimed 1600mah
375minutes
~250ma
1562mah
97.6%
HTC OEM 1300mah (1.5 years old)
274minutes
~250ma
1141mah
87.8%
I also ran another test with slightly different settings (which meant it couldn't be compared) where the average drain was 300ma:
319minutes
~300ma
1595mah
99.7%
The test is as consistent as I could make it since I only have my phone to discharge the battery with.
With that said, I have heard some non-OEM batteries lose their capacities faster than the OEM ones. I plan to do this test again at the 1 year mark.
I haven't tried those "OEM" batteries before but I've heard a lot of good reports on the "MUGEN" ones. Supposedly, if you follow the instructions, it'll function as it's suppose to (meaning it'll last long).

I'd recommend anyone looking for a extended battery to get a EVO Design 4G battery! It fits in our device perfectly at 1520 mah A BIG JUMP from our 1300 mah stock oem batteries.
Most if not all 'after market' batteries die out quicker and don't live up to the battery life that there claiming to. . .
Here's a few tests that were run on all batteries (stock and after market) and HTC's stock batteries performed the best giving the mah and battery life that they claimed to

Fake, any battery above 2000 mah can't be like stock battery. Check Mugen 3200 mah. I have it. When on idle. I 'm getting 1 % down for an hr with mugen battery. Means 100 hrs standby with Edge\3G On ...

Htc desire bravo Jellybean 2000mamp battery problem
Hello I have second hand desire bravo running jellybean, the battery is 2000miliamp but after a full charge and then I turn off phone, the next morning it's down to 84%. Is there any reason for this other than maybe the battery being faulty?
Is there some software that will solve this, I had read something about the kernel of the phone having some effect on this.
As it is a get about a day out of battery.

Thats normal if youre able to get a day of usage of your battery.
I bought a 2500mAh battery on eBay. Same size as stock, but it does not last much longer (~15% longer?) than the stock battery I had. I got the device lasting longer by installing the MildWild (based on Redux2) custom ROM. This ROM gives approximately an 80% increase of battery life (almost an additional day).

Never bought an Anker battery, i cant say too much about it, there are another threads about this battery in this section. But comparing ZL and Anker both have similar results.
I dont Know RavPower.

I got a RAV Power battery for my S4 off of Amazon for 12 EUR and I've been using it for a week, on stock vanilla firmware (but this is another story).
I get out in the morning at 8.30am and I use my S4 in the car for navigation (Waze) and music (TuneIn Radio or Google Play Music) for 1h a day (30 mins in the morning and 30 mins in the evening), then some calls, emails, whatsapp, etc. (no games or exotic stuff) and I usually get back home with a 40% battery around 7pm.
A colleague at work bought a Duracell after market battery for 24.50 EUR and he's not satisfied as the new battery gets very hot during simple use and he have to charge it at least one time during the day.
It has been just a week, but I'm pretty satisfied with this RAV Power battery!
Zerolemon 7500mah user here nothing to complain about.
Music sounds good because it has a gap between the battery and the speaker it actually made the sound better or somewhat amplified because it has space inside the TPU case that comes with it.
Using this 7500mah for close to 2 years now and still gives me 10-12hrs SOT max per day.
I use iPhone charger 1A and charge it only when i sleep, upon waking up its full charge.
after inheriting a S4 im not very happy with battery life, its a replacement off the bay..ie fake..so which one should i go for,,im in the uk so i dont think all the battery makes are available to me easily..cheers

one thing i did notice is when i charge it to 100% gsam is telling me its at 1200mah, weird
If you're in Canada and want a cheap fix, the Source is clearing out some $0.96 CAD battery cases for the S4 (and S3). Lots of trade-offs with using a battery case, but it's the cheapest solution.
