Database Info

Anyone have overclock widget 3.12?

Looks like it's off the market. Version he has on his dev site doesn't work with hero for some reason but the 3.12v on the market does work with Sprint HTC Hero...
If anyone has it from a apps to sd or a backup copy I'd greatly appreacte it.

I may. I'll check. I like how it shows you the CPU speed on the widget and I love the widget's colors. I kinda wish SetCPU looked like this. But I can get over looks cause the dev for SetCPU is friendly and always updating and answering questions.

Click on your overclock widget and then in the lower right hand corner where it has the question mark just touch that and a new window pops up with Version *.*

I've searched my phone for the APK file, but nothing turns up when I search "overclock" in Astro. Anyone have any ideas what the dev named it?

Just do a search for Genie Widget apk. This is the news widget from the Nexus One.

Or would this widget need to live in /system?
Anyone know if there's a rom or leak out we could pull it from? I believe it would need to be from WVGA device...

Awesome! I'm new to Android (First smartphone here) but that doesn't work. I tried installing with AppInstaller and adjusted my phone settings to install apps not in the market.
No dice. It starts up like it is going to install, then says "Authorization Failed".
Could it be for a different build only?

oh man so so close! I actually get to the point where its about to install, and then I get "Application not Installed" with the yellow exclamation point next to it. It even shows the newspaper icon! A little digging around, and some random posts suggest it has to do with 'application signing'.
Know anything about this?

Yea, you need superuser (root) access.

Hope you don't mind Gimpeh but I posted the apk on a few other sites to see if anyone else can do something with it. If they are able to get it working I will re-post it here most definitly.

Is the apk de-odexed? I.E., when you open the apk, is there a classes.dex in there?

Yep. Can you help? I tried installing via ADB in the SDK, but still no dice. I also tried signing the APK with a debugging key, and again, no dice.

[APP] Adobe Flash Update Ver 10.1.92.10

Adobe updated flash. I attached the apk below and link below is for flashable file. Make sure you remove previous flash and reboot before attempting to install the update. Copy it to your sdcard and install it like you would any other apk file. Enjoy.

No it does not I was using the hacked one and updated to this one and Hulu doesn't work now.

It looks like I have a version 10.1.72.7 installed, but it is installed in /system/app and it wont auto-upgrade from the market. I can use Titanium Backup to un-install it, but it warns me it might mess things up. Am I okay to uninstall this and upgrade to the new 10.1.92.10?
Or am I better running the hacked flash? I'd be interested to see the change log as well to see if I'm better sticking with the hacked one or the newest version.

YOu should be able to remove it with no problem. I had mine in the system app and removed it with root explorer. Like anything else you should backup b4 making any changes.

Yes its only flash guys you can delete and reinstall it all day long with no problems its not going to harm anything. Also guys just nandroid backup if you are worried. If you have any problems deleting you can also go into settings /applications and delete it from there reboot and install the new version from this post

I was wondering, does anyone know how to fix the following swype error:
"The Swype package you installed does not match the screen size"
I dont want to install another swype version for the x10 - so please do not point me to one, i have managed to get my hands on the recent release 2.6.47 which is pretty cool and i want to fix the above error.
Can you help or point me in the right direction?

I have a later version which has a nicer keyboard and keypress sound and would prefer to fix it for the x10 as it complaining about the incorrect screen size.

A new version should be out in a week or two. The old version doesnt work with 2.1.

the latest official beta version works fine for me under 2.1

My Bad Maryland Cookie, I misunderstood I just thought you wanted a working swipe and did not catch that you wanted a particular swipe.

The good: the swype error just only comes at the first usage in portrait mode.
The bad: landscape mode doesn't work, it's only left half.
As it's my first time installing, is this lanscape error common for all Versions ? Whats the difference using x10 or WVGA version ?

not only do you need that specific version but you also need the one with the correct resolution for the x10. This one is probably 800x480 and thats why you get this error. You need the one for the motorola droid which will be designed for 854x480.

Im using version 2.10.52.13753 and the keyboard theme was created using the original images by bilbobrian found on this thread

the versions move quickly. hard to keep up.

How did you do it just replace the keyboard pngs? and then resign the apk? I'm a beta tester for swype by the way.

Err I found it... Hit translate if you are using chrome and then use the blue text 'telecom downloads'

do we just flash this over whatever current ROM we're running? does this wipe out root and re-install stock ROM?
basically, how does this work? i'm excited to upgrade to 2.3, but wanna make sure i don't lose what i'm running right now!

well I dont think it will be flashable, usually test build are just folders and need to be built into a rom. You should probably wait for a dev to post it, if you are not 100% sure what you are doing.

the link description reminded me of the RUU, so i wasn't sure if it was the same process or a ROM in itself. i'll wait it out and keep an eye out for an update. thanks again!
