Transparent CHT icons matching Laskar V2 transparent theme - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Ever since I found Laskar V2 transparent theme, I haven't used any other. Finally I decided to modify the CHT (and some apps) icons to match my favorite theme.

It doesn't show very well with my wallpaper and in low res but the icons are transparent in the background, and semi-transparent in the black borders. I snatched the design from CHT borders and icons, and used some Metro5 white icons.
I'll post both the icons I made, as well as the templates so you can modify and apply to your own icons, or to the CHT icons I didn't get to make because I don't use.
DOWNLOAD MY ICONS v1.1
PNG Icons inside the Windows folder need to be moved to the Windows folder (over-writes original CHT icons). The rest needs to be set with a program like CSMI.
CHT_no_icon.png is the empty icon. Both xcf files in the Windows folder are the templates for GIMP2 of the CHT icons, I seem to have misplaced the xcf (read as, forgot to save the file) for the app icons templates... Oh well. Just use the CHT_no_icon.png
Links for stuff I use in my phone:
Cookie's Home Tab
Laskar V2 transparent theme
Hero Clock for CHT
B&W Circular Battery icon
WM7 Metro Icons (I snatched some white icons from here)
Custom background by me

Noticed a couple of "bugs". App icons with the inner white border gets too crowded, so I'll be removing it like it was before it looks way better (you can still see the old icon in active sync and RSS in the image I took lol).
CHT icons will retain the inner white border, otherwise they easly get passed by apps, and simply doesn't look as good (the reason I inserted the 2nd border in the first place)
EDIT: Done

wallpaper problems

my goal is following:
have one background in all tabs while softkey-bar stays black (if possible just taskbar should be transparent)
i have tried different things:
1. installed hdwall patch and installed a cab from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629125&highlight=hdwall
the problem is, that just the taskbar and the softkey bar has been changed to the installed wallpaper. the main area at the middle is still the standard background shown on all tabs (grey & black). what am i doing wrong?
i also tried b4all, but there i also have some issues: the wallpaper has a black bar just above the slider. it seems like the wallpaper will not fit correctly!
has anyone a guide how to install a wallpaper on all tabs? clock should stay with solid color (not transparent).
my manilla version is: 2.5.19211 and i have installed the cookie 75 shortcut mod.
today i was able to make a screenshot:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
here you can see the mentioned black bar at bottom after installing b4all!
any idea how to fix it?
u can choose:
so first, install HDwall patch and create a wallpaper with the correct profile selected in HDWall. Before u install the wallpaper set the default wallpaper in manila or delete the reg content HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/AnimatedBackgroundPath
!! Delete only the Content, not the whole String !!
or second, install the right BG4all. Cookie posted the correct version for the different manila versions in the 75quicklinks thread.
PS.: the reg key was the problem in ur first try with HDwall too where the middle part of the wallpaper stayed default black
i just tried what you said, but there is no string value in "AnimatedBackgroundPath". it's empty! I'm using a german rom, but this will not be the problem, isn't it?
i found this at cookies 75 quicklinks thread:
If you have any version of manila except 2.5.19222911, this cab will work for you: BG4all

i installed this but still the same issue.
sorry for pushing my thread, but i'm going nuts with this! if just hdwall OR b4all would make me happy

'Marble' and 'Tiled Effect' (Flip) Clock Homepage 'Mini-Themes' - New 07/05/2010

And now... to complete the set...
A Homepage 'mini-theme' based on all of my 'marble' or 'tiled effect' ('flip' or digital) clocks.
These are basically two variations of my previously released 'glass clock' Homepage mini-themes.
One set is a sort of 'marble' effect. The other a kind of 'tiled' or 'scaled' (as in reptile scales) effect. Anyway, check out the screenshots and make up your own mind what to call them.
Marble...

'Tiled'...
Each of the attached cabs installs one coloured 'marble' or 'tiled effect' 'mini-theme' to your Today/Homepage. The mini-theme consists of the flip clock and the other 'furniture' on the page (i.e. the background for the Weather, the Calendar and the mini-Date/Time bar you see when you scroll down to the quicklinks).
You can install each 'mini-theme' as usual, using the cab files attached in the following posts. Uninstalling is done, as usual, via Settings/Remove Programs. If anything in the previous two sentences doesn't make sense to you, you probably should not install these cabs...!
The 'mini-themes' work on Manila 2.5.1920 because that is what I have on my HD2. I think they should also work on 1921 (but I cannot guarantee it) and I haven't got a clue about other versions.
The original wallpapers are not mine. But they are available on this forum from the usual suspects. I cannot remember who posted which wallpaper, so credit goes to all of them...
I made the 'tiled' or 'scaled' wallpapers myself based on something abumhmmd1 did on another post. So thanks go to him for the inspiration.
Glass Icons, slider etc. are from Jaguaralani and Dinik respectively.
I think that covers it for now. I'll be reserving the next few posts to ensure I have enough space for all the cabs.
If you only want the clocks, you can find them at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=675912.
If you would like to see what the coloured 'glass' mini-themes look like, you can find them at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=677005.
If you are only interested in the coloured 'glass' clocks, you can find them at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=650245.
Feedback is always gratefully received (because I generally get very little!)...
More 'marble effect' mini-themes...
More 'marble effect' mini-themes...
Btw... I would only advise trying the white theme if you know how to change the colour of the Homepage font to black...!
And now for the 'tiled' or 'scaled' effect 'mini-themes'...

I made this (and I am definitely not a photoshop expert as you can see) and this is not glossy unlike Dinik Anastasia icons but it does sort of do the trick for me.
i have switched out many bad icon using CSMI (change start menu icon). works like a charm...
note - i realized that it does matter wherever you store your new icons (meaning you can't switch them and delete the original graphic) and you can't move them around at will. so i just put them all in a folder on my sd card and now no problems.
cheers.

Yep, just save to comp then transfer to phone. You will have to use an icon changer program app like JWMD icon changer, or CSMI (if you search those here on XDA, you will find the cab files with the instructions on how to use them). I use JWMD since it has intuitive UI and is easy to use. Changing icons is a tedious process since you have to do it one icon at a time. Good luck!
thanks.. i think i got it to work.. cheers
i got this one. maybe someone can make white corners transparent. no soft installed right now
Here you go.
hmm now there is a big white frame around.
maybe you can make it like the other two
thx
no white frame
It is a png file, the white background is transparent. And you are welcome.

Kameleon Dark Facebook 1.6.3 - self theming

I'm attempting to make my Kameleon Series apps be more in depth with their theming and this is what I have so far.. I had all of Facebook inverted but my friends list was black on black and I fought it for 4 hours and couldn't get the text white so I had to use theBowers' BnB fb as the base for this one so credit to him.. A few of his icons are included also like the widget arrows..
For anyone wondering what's the point of Kameleon apps, I have 9 themes out and theming every apk/app for each theme takes up a lot of extra time so I started taking all my apks that I edit xmls in and pointed all those lines to primary sytem text colors that I edit in framework-res.. then in framework-res, I point as many xml's to the primary as well so that all I have to do per theme is edit just a couple xmls.. makes it a lot easier.. So, this idea came into play with universal apks/apps like calculator, GB Keyboards, Facebook, GoogleVoice and GoogleQuickSearch so that if a user is on any of my themes (or any theme that changes the primary and secondary text colors) these apks will 'self theme'.. meaning that all the text colors that I have chosen to edit will become the color of the theme.. Now, I'm attempting to make it deeper by having the apps call on system png's also.. So on these 2 Kameleon Facebooks, it's calling on the button sets for the buttons and for the outline headers and notification bar... it's just different, nothing out of the blue spectacular but I like it.. I included 2 versions of this.. 1 is for anyone using any of my themes since the buttons are themed and the other is a universal one that is calling on a new button I made just for the app internally so it's a basic inverted version of my Kameleon Facebook...All the colored version in the screenshots are of the Kameleon Facebook and the 2 with white are what the Universal version will look like.. Enjoy!
*Shows up as Dark Facebook in the app drawer now*
Install instructions:
1. uninstall the stock facebook first.. if you're using a different inverted one then this should install right over it...
2. download the app you want and choose to install it like a normal app

[ICON THEME][TW4.5] Blurry Icon Theme (Based on MotoBlur) [11/23]

Since I like how MotoBlur looks, and TW4.5 is really simple to theme, I made this.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

}
Just put the attached zip on your sdcard, go to the launcher preferences > theme > install theme (Blurry.zip), then choose theme (Blurry.zip), then pick the "restart and save" option from the main menu.
Note: restarting and saving the launcher has caused hotboots for me, I don't know why but it does.
To get the faded white dock background, open up your favorite image editing program and draw a transparent to opaque white gradient towards the bottom of your prefered background, then use Wallpaper Set and Save (from the market) to install it. I have no idea how to permanently set a background for the dock, help is appreciated. Here's the one I'm using in the screenshot:

This was just to hold me over until someone makes a full theme, I'm not a themer and this was all I could conjure up
So I've been doing some research, and I've started porting some theme-related stuff from the Bionic to the Charge. I'll keep you guys updated
hi.
to add a permanent dock picture, just made a dock.png picture and put it in the .zip file.
you also can do "docked" icons by adding dock_ before the names of icons you want to be docked.
For more infos about TW4.5 : : http://www.i900playeraddict.com/android/TW45/
Thanks for your job !
Just an update for how the theme is going; I've ported most of the images from framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from the Bionic. I've also ported the theme from Motoblur to TW3.
What's nearly done:
framework-res.apk (I'll consider this done once I manage to get the status bar themed)
SystemUI.apk
TouchWiz30Launcher.apk
Mms.apk (*note* I decided to use the AOSP app instead of the TW once, personal preference)
TwWallpaperChooser.apk (added Bionic wallpapers)
What's to come:
Phone.apk
Contacts.apk
Email.apk
Browser.apk
More as time progresses...
Here are some screenshots as a teaser
