I think it is time to get new PDA!
I have think about HTC HD2 and HTC Desire. Question for thous who have used HD2, Desire or other similar mobile devices.
Of course Desire use Android OS 2.1 but HD2 use Windows Mobile 6.5. I have expirience only on WM because now I have HTC TyTn.
I want now which is moust customizable, which one have the best soft etc..?
I also now what now on HD2 you can do dual boot with WM and Andorid OS. So maybe it is worth to buy HD2. Also if you sugest me to buy other PDA please levae a comment with reason why..

Is it possible to install HTC Sence for Windows Mobile 6.5 on a Dell Axim also running Windows Mobile 6.5? A friend of mine who owns the Dell Axim has seen HTC sence on my HD2 and wondered if it were possible to install it.
Just curious, if it is a daft question just tell me haha, but please take it into consideration first haha

From what I've been able to find, you would need to install SPB mobile shell on the phone, then install this sense-style cab. It's not exactly like your version of sense but it might give your friend the look he wants.

In case you haven't noticed, this is an ANDROID device.
Nobody will even want to reverse-engineer the drivers for WM, let alone a kernel (nk.exe). Who would want to perform such a sacrilege?
good to know so should i but android or windos phone?
i need it for multimedia and fast use
If you want a Windows device, get a HD7. I personally don't see a reason to put Windows mobile on a DHD, Android outclasses WM imo.
Moving thread as in not HDH specific. More like a General question are. Let's go over there.
Hi there,
Is there a possibility in the future that HTC Sensation 4G can run window mobile 6.5? I have been with window mobile probably over 15yrs and I have been collecting lots of apps mainly medical apps from Skyscape. I like HTC sensation specs, but still want to be able to use my window apps. I know Skyscape has medical apps for android and others, but mainly require data plan, which I don't like. What if you are in a region that you can't get data connection and you just want to look up some references. That's the reason why I like stand alone apps. A few other reasons that I like to stick with WM is the Microsoft Voice Command, the best stand alone voice control apps, amazing custom ROMs. Currently; I am suing HD2 with energy ROM. Its amazing nice and smooth, but sometime I find a few hiccups now and then. Imaging this ROM run on HTC Sensation 4G. Any possibilities? Thanks
K
HTC Sensation. Because Android is best
Same question... Waiting for Windows Mobile 6.5.5 on Sensation.
Althrough Android is more smooth than WM, some software in WM is irreplaceable.
But there is no Driver(with sensation) in Windows Mobile.

Read my post here....You're better off with a WinMO 6.5 phone like HD2, if you wanna use that OS though, but you'll eventually get use to android...

Hello, I have been developing android for phones for a while but need to know if there is a way to port Windows Mobile 6.5 to the HTC CHACHA. I ask of this because I want to see the old 6.5 again but on a newer handset. I did like it then and want back now as well.
Please reply soon.

Are you joking? Dont do this s**t, dont put windows wher he shouldnt be.
Windows on phones is the worst mistake that MS do.
I know what you mean dude, but is it possible? I have loads of .cab files to test out on the OS and have been collecting them for years - if they work on the ChaCha I could be on to something.
The OS can be similar of that to the HTC Excalibur or the HTC Snap. It doesn't really matter which - but is it possible on the processor??
Gimme a shout (PM or something) with some other extra info (mainly how do you want the OS) and if there's any chance of taking it off an old HTC phone that I have lying around gathering dust on it. I remember having an .img with 6.5 but it got lost (prolly deleted it).
Hi, thank you for replying Alex C., i need a rom for the ChaCha in the format of the one that used to be on the Samsung Jack (it is a Windows Mobile 6.5 qwerty).
However will the ROM work on the ChaCha processor and will it be stable??
Also, the processor on the Jack is 528MHZ and the ChaCha is 800MHZ will there be a significant speed increase??
If you can get me a ROM that will boot and stable - we could open a Windows Mobile thread.
Also, you said you get something off a HTC phone - will HTC Excalibur be able to work on ChaCha.
Thanks Alex C. Please let me know soon, TechMayhem.
Don't bother wasting your time, you don't have any proprietary files, don't have a bootloader and WM doesn't have support for your phone.
Android phones use dalvik VM to load the java-based Android OS. WM is not java-based and can therefore not be booted by this phone. Only possibility is that you would mix up an WM 6.5 phone with the chacha, but I don't think you will succeed. Ever. You might try just picking up a second hand WM6.5 phone though, I don't think they cost much. And you could always try your .cab's on a emulator on your pc.
Hi every body
I'm new
I'm going to buy a windows mobile, but I don't know what is the best windows mobile phone?
My friends have HD2 and it is very good but it is old.
Do u suggest me to buy win7? Is there application for win7 as win6.5?
Suggest me something works better than HD2 please.
I prefer HTC, what do u think?
Thank u all
Samsung Galaxy S2 ...it is a very fast phone.
Htc evo 3d .
SE Xperia X10 Mini
In this era of iPhone and Android...not many folks out there are buying windows phones....
All the above suggestions are Android devices....
Galaxy S2 being my favourite....
Also nothing can beat iPhone and Android App Market places....
However if you personally prefer Windows Mobile (Version 7 is latest...6.5 is hardly avialable other than on really old devices).....check out the options Windows Mobile 7 Mango has...

I am not a WP7 guy, but I hear the HTC Titan is a great WP7 phone. Don't let these guys try to steer you away from what you want...it's your choice.
grab a Nexus Premium. Go for android !!
Htc g14~我觉得还不错的~
