Hello,
I JUST upgraded to MR2 from verizon on my touch pro 2. My main concern is that it does not show the missed calls on the home screen anymore. I have to go to notifications to click on missed calls to see them.
When i was looking around i saw this thread:
ww.wmexperts.com/tags/touch-pro-2
(sorry i had to take the w out of www to be able to get the link above to post)
and it shows a picture of my phone, with the MR2 upgrade WITH the missed calls showing!
What am i doing wrong? How do i get my missed calls to show back up on the screen.
as a side note, it also shows calendar items, my phone also does not show calendar items. It seems to me that my first row of quick links is up too high (that is where the missing calls and calendar show up on the picture for MR2)

Recently I bought a HTC HD2. Very nice phone and stuff, but some questions, wich I can't find in the instruction manual.
- In Contacts it display's the last name in front of the first name, can I switch it around?
- When I receive an sms, my phone only vibrates 3 times but doesn't give sound. But when I get an incoming phonecall it does give sound. What the?
- Is it possible to automatically make the phone turn on bluetooth when I put it in a charching dock? (and turn off again when I get it out the dock again)
- When I get a message, I click on "Messages" and then the message turns up wich I last read, not the message I last received, so I have to scroll up each time.
Sorry for my bad english and maybe some things can't on a HTC (last phone was an iPhone and this things were possible on my iPhone).
Well let me try and help you with this.
1) Yes, it is possible. Try this: http://shubaroo.com/index.php?module=contact
many people say it worked for them - I did not try it yet
2) To put a ring and turn on or off the vibration when you receive an sms you just need to go to the preferences (the last icon in Manila) / the 3rd option (sound and screen) / go down to rings and click on the 3rd option (sounds and notifications (reminders, new messages, etc.) / than you choose the 2nd option (new messages, but you click on the name and not on the on/off - keep it ON) / than you can choose the ring from the list and if you want it or not to vibrate from on the top.
3) I have no idea, I never thought of this, but there might be an application that could do it, I just don't know any.
4) When I am in Manila and I want to go to the 1st message, then I just scroll left or right and then back to the message icon, and it starts from the beginning.
I hope this helped you a bit, and maybe someone else can fill in the blanks.
I flashed the ROM yesterday and noticed a couple of things.
When I went to People and did a contact search by name, the result came up with a black screen. I hit menu and I could edit the contact and the all the information would come up. I could dial from that point on.
Also, I had a call come in and the screen was blank with no contact info or incoming call on the screen.
Lastly, went to change the Theme on ADW Launcher, and when I switched Themes, a bunch of apps were opened and I had to back out or close everything. The web browser was one app that opened, and I had to hit the power button off, then back on, as hitting the back arrow would not close the app.
I had the odd call thing happen today as well. First and only time it has happened. The phone rang, or appeared to, yet when I went to grab the call there was no screen notification of any call and no way to answer it. To top is off, the phone app never showed either a missed call or a left voice mail. Made me wonder if instead of a call, it was a random triggering of my ringtone with no call behind it.
There are a few quirks that Im finding out.
Most annoyingly is that the phone does not have my contact number or cell number.
is there a way to fix this as Ive read its the SIM that needs to be identified and I guess flashing the ROM erased my identity to the Inspire when I did this?
I cannot use TiKL or people do not have my number appear on their phone if I call them....
I have posted here but recieved no answer. I figured my question belongs here anyway, so I won't bump the other thread.
I am trying to use Hangouts as my default SMS app (It is also currently the only SMS app installed on my device) because I do like it. However I noticed that sometimes I don't get any notification when I recieve a text message, no vibration, nor sound nor notification in the status bar. As a result, I miss quite a lot of texts. Notice that I do recieve those texts, if I check the app they are there, text bold to indicate they are not yet read. I just don't get the notification. Also, most of the time I do get the notifications without a problem. So to be clear, this is about some SMS's, not about all.
As far as I know this happens when I recieve the message very shortly after I put down my phone (my routine: send text, press 'backbutton' once to get in the hangouts overview, and then I press power to shut of the screen and put the phone down.) If I get a message let's say within half a minute of me turning of the screen I won't have a clue I recieved the message until I go look in hangouts to check. This happens often when someone is quick to respond to my own message, but could maybe be happening with other messages I recieve in that time. I don't think this happens to messages I recieve when the screen has been off for a time, but I can't say that with certainty.
I have a HTC One S currently running CM11, but I had this problem on stock ROM too. However never with the HTC stock messaging app.
I have found similar problems here on the forums, but no satifying answers. I hope someone has a solution?

When I view my list of text messages conversations they're not showing in the correct order. And the text that appears in the preview box before you open the conversation isn't showing the most recent text. When I click on individual conversations all of the messages are there and correct.. When I get a new message it will be at the top, then I respond and back out, and it'll get pushed back to March or sometimes just a few days! So for some reason just when I view all my conversations it's not remembering I've been talking to people, just annoying to have to scroll back a month to text someone you talk to daily.. Is this happening to anyone else?
Time and date of the phone correct?

Yes, and I haven't changed the time and date for anything.
I'm getting similar thing on my Huawei P10.
When I look at my list of sms messages the last message sent is not at the top of the list. I have to scroll down through a few days of threads and then the 'latest' thread appears.
So what happens is I either send or receive a text. It shows at top of list. If I come out of messages and go to another app and then go back into messages that text that was just sent is no longer at the top, it is moved down about 20 thread down.
It's really annoying. Somebody texts me, the message is at top. I answer it then switch to other app. The other person sends me another text and when I go back into messenger it's not at top anymore it away down the list and its takes a lot of scrolling to get to it.
The individual texts within any thread are in the right order withing the thread. It's the thread that moves down below others of older date.
And the thread doesn't move to the bottom of the list just down about 20. The threads above it are in correct order except they should be below the latest ones, and the threads below the latest ones which are pushed down are also in order.
So everything really old is in order.
Very recent threads are pushed down about 20 places.
The 20 places are in correct order, except they are above the most recent.
It's quite hard to explain but it's very weird and very annoying.
If I send a text and get no response the text stays at the top until another unconnected text is sent or is received. It's only when a thread is created that the threads goes out of kilter
Have checked all dates/times/zones are auto to network
Can you force setting the date and time manually on the phone? Does this happen with other SMS apps?
Hello guys,
So my colleague's phone has an GS7 with Android 7.0 that has an odd feature (?), we're deliverers so we call a lot of people, none is saved in our contacts so no way to know their names without asking them, but his phone actually displayed the first name of some incoming calls, out of the blue, as if the network was connected to same database (white pages). So I was wondering what was doing that, how it was doing it, and if it's actually my theory that it's pulling the name out of the white pages of my country?
Also, if you can't answer any of the above, please tell me if that's also a feature on your phone, whichever it is.
Open the phone/dialer app and click on the three dots in the top right corner and go to settings. Check the option 'identify unsaved numbers'. Make sure it is switched off.
