Looking for a Call Spammer (like WinMo) - Android Apps and Games

I used to use an app for Windows Mobile that would spam somebody with calls, but I haven't been able to find something like this for Android. Is this because of some limitation in Android? I might want to try developing such an application if it doesn't exist.
Edit: The Winmo app was ZM Dialer

..

There is one for Nokia, but I still couldn't find one for android

Push to Talk For ANDROID!

TiKL for Android is a Push to Talk app that uses Voip. Just found this today on the market and have been playing around with it with some friends. Has great potential! I cant post links yet, (if someone could help me out and post one) just do a search for TiKL in the market.
Great app love it has g great potential. Love waking my wife up in the mornings with it. Needs a contacts widget so all you have to so is click on their person to chirp them

Ok
someone please explain to me the usefulness of push to talk. I really never got it, and seriously want to understand how it is used and why it's different than calling someone? And I'm not being sarcastic. REALLY I AM NOT!
Is it just a "doesn't cost minutes" thing? Just a real world scenario where you would use this instead of calling would be great.
We run UPS and Generator tests at my job and there are like 5 of us that need to stay in constant contact with each other while the tests are going on. Some of us are on the first floor of the building, some are on the fourth floor and its way easier to just push to talk rather than dialing every time.

i have had this app for about 2 weeks now and i must say i like it alot..great potential and yet easy to use..i can see this app being around for quite some time with the amount of downloads and 4-5 star ratings from tons of users that have downloaded so far...
two things it needs
1. widget
2. some type of contact list instead of the pop down menu
thanks OP!!!!!!!!!
any way for me and my buddy to communicate with push to talk? he is on WM and IM on android.
Not at the moment. TiKL is only for android.
great app but kills my battery!
this is a nice app, and i dont want to scare anyone away from it but one time a friend of mine was still transmitting to me long after he stopped pressing the button and had put his phone down with the screen off. He wasent able to stop transmitting until after using a task kill

Can I really use LINE (Naver) to make free international phone calls?

Hello, I came across an app called LINE from Naver. Can I really make free international phone calls to both cell phone users and home phone users? What is the catch? I read that I need to register using my phone number. Thanks.
I like to know also.

i don't know much about this but sometimes back i have heard about VOIP i think with it you can call anywhere for free, but actually i am not sure but she was telling me something like that.
As long as a person has LINE installed on either an Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, Mac or PC then you can call/message them. Does not apply to land-line/home phones.

My only beef on Android OS

Until now, I still don't understand why Android doesn't have a built-in features for missed calls/sms and reject list to auto decline unwanted calls. My old Galaxy S Fascinate has the reject list feature but not in my Galaxy Nexus.
And I used to use Missed Call Reminder but it doesn't work with Jelly Bean. Sigh! JB is awesome but these simple, yet crucial, features are either missing or hard to find ones that work.
Especially the missed call/SMS features, this is a no brainer feature that even a standard cell phone has it. IOS has it, why Android can't just have it built-in. I just don't get it.
Thoughts anyone?
Ken
Pretty much everyone I know uses the LED notification light for missed calls and texts, since that's what it was made to do.
I personally don't get calls I don't want, but if you like to post your number online and not pay your bills, there are many, many apps available to block calls for you. Or hell, MIUI has it built in. Take your pick.
So what was the problem again?

I don't know it for sure. but my guess is Apple probably has it patented? From what I understand Google has to deliberately workaround many design challenges so that Android doesn't violate Apple's patents
Apple just filed another lawsuit against Samsung trying to get 22 more phones banned for patent violations. Sigh.

there is any app for almost everything
Some Roms offer that feature.
Try EXTREME CALL BLOCKER from the market. It's not free but works like I needed it to.

yeah, you could be right. If that's true, then this is yet another ridiculous patent that got passed. Prior to smartphones, every cell phones have these basic features. Sigh.
I understand the Galaxy Nexus has led indicator but I don't usually stare at my phone all day. So I'm used to hearing a reminder tone of any missed call or text. I guess I just have to wait until developers get up to speed with Jelly Bean.
Find an app for it.

Hey buddy read my orig. post, I've tried already. Example, I used to use Missed Call Reminder but like most other apps that are similar, it doesn't work with Jelly Bean. The LED part works, but no tone. Feel free to educate me with ones that works with tone notification.
As per the reject call feature, I end up using the contact list method and send them to voicemail. Not 100% whether this method will cost me some minor air time or not but these solicited calls will hang up by itself, as most of these calls use an auto-dialer. It will only transfer to a live agent if the dialer detects a real human voice, as suppose to a voicemail recording. Not as good as just decline the call completely but it will do for now.
Have you tried Mr. Number on the Play Store? I use it.

Yes I have but after I read the terms and condition, I don't feel comfortable using it. This app will take all your contacts and store them into their server. Even the paid version does this too. It seems like a very powerful app but I'm not willing to sacrifice my personal information for this feature. I've looked at others and they work similar way. All I want is a similar app that identifies the phone of incoming call and compare it to a local rejected list of numbers. If it matches, then just decline the call. I'm not a developer but I can't imagine that this would be very tough.

I think the only way it stores your contacts is if you use the caller id, which I don't use.

Android is pure, other vendors ( HTC, Samsung and etc.) throw their own little twist on Android. Anything Nexus is pure Google Android.

I've heard both sides make that argument. I'm Android through & through, but apple makes a compelling ecosystem. People always say "It just works..." but at what cost? There are apps for everything in both IOS & Android worlds, but as far as I'm concerned, there's less big brother restricting what I can do with my android. Sure, there's some more work at times, but it's completely worth the effort not to be stuck with someone else deciding what apps I can install, and how I have to use my phone.

I know I feel stuck when I get a phone with carrier branded apps that I can't remove. Do you see a difference between these two practices? It seems to me if one wants full control of their phone, one must jailbreak or root. Do you agree or disagree?

Improvements towards messaging app bbm/imessages

So as much as I love android there is one thing that I kinda of envy when it comes to blackberrys and Iphones and and that would be bbm/imessages. Now im well aware there are apps out there like gtalk or chaton which acts like imessages but I personally would like to see this built into the messaging app itself. I am no developer or anything but it seems that imessages works on the device when it is linked towards the email used for the app store so would it not be easy for google to implement this into their os? I mean on the start up of each android device it does ask you for your gmail password so I was just thinking that this just may be a really nice feature to come out with key lime pie or something. Does anyone else feel this way?
Is this any different from Google Talk? Instant Messaging tied to the Gmail account, rather than the phone number. It's just not as immensely popular.

Well thats the thing. GTalk is perfect but for example all of my friends who own android products havent even heard of it. Im just thinking if google linked GTalk to a phone number then it could be good.
I agree. This would be amazing.
Yes that would be awesome

So I guess a better question is what are the odds of this actually being implemented into the next update?
I have to admit that I do miss bbm from when I used blackberry's. But besides that mild feeling of exclusivity I don't really think its much different thn just texting

Ya i hear ya. I guess the only reason I feel something like Imessages would be helpful is because if we are in places with almost no service but there is wifi it would be pretty amazing. Then again i would be scared for samsung or google to implement this because the last thing we need is another apple lawsuit haha

1 in 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.
if google would make it part of the steup wizard and allow images/sounds to be transferred over gtalk, it would be amazing.

Is the srate this app is in affecting your phone modding?

With the widely recognised 10 cut off its certainly affected me, as has my favourites not showing. By the time I've got to them and found something new, or someone I want to help... Aghhhhhh bye! Start again. I could live with it at first but it's getting in the way now as I've no LT, etc. After all its a paid app.
How's it affecting YOU, and your day to day flashing? Has it stopped during downloads?
This is not " having a go" at anyone.
When the new app came out I was so happy! At last a well designed working app, after years of rubbish then it stopped working properly after a few weeks. What's more galling it's run by people who should be experts!! We paid to show support and we NEED a working app.
Have your say...
From the wonders of mobile telephony.
Sorry, I've read the whole post but I can't figure out what we're talking about. Could you elaborate please?
