Is anybody else having problems with windows mobile marketplace on their windows mobile 6.5 devices? I have not been able to access it from my expo.
windows mobile market place problem
Hello, I had the same issue 2 month ago and I was going mad but in the end I found out the solution. Try to re-install the market without using a cab file....you have to use the right url from your handset.....if you can't find it contact me and I will do a search in my stuff. Good luck.....

Hello,
I have recently started using XDA serra which is replacement to XDA Trion that I had earlier. It has windows mobile V6.1 pre-installed and everything works just perfect. I have unlimited internet data plan and am able to browse using Opera and IE.
My problem is that I am unable to connect using Windows Live. When I try logging in I get following errors.
Error Message when trying to login Windows Live:
“Windows Live was unable to establish an internet connection. Please Check your internet settings and make sure that you have access to data services under your billing plan. If you need help please contact your mobile service provider.”
Error Message when trying to login using Windows Live messenger.
“There is a connectivity problem. Make sure you’re in an area with good reception and try again.”
Now since am able to do all browsing etc I am sure the error messages are not correct. I have done my bit of googling and I know there are people who had similar issues but there isn’t a solution that I could find and make it work for me.
I even tried installing the version of messenger provided on this forum somewhere but it did not work.
The windows live version installed on this phone at the mo is: 10.6.0039.1300
Please could someone help me in sorting out this problem.
Thanks and Regards,
Ankit.

SOLVED
I somehow have got this problem solved and have been enjoying windows live for last four days. Last Sunday I was too frustrated and just went to start->Settings->System->Clear Storage.
This brought the phone to factory settings.
I then before installing anything else configured Windows Live.
Then I installed each programme one by one and deliberately left Skype as last two times I had observed that windows live had stopped working only after I installed skype.
Hope this might help some more people.
Cheers,
Ankit.
I used to use the citibank mobile java app on my AT&T HTC Fuze WinMo phone. I would tell citibank I had a Samsung A727, and it would allow me to download the Java app, which worked fine on windows mobile. I believe Citi have upgraded there site recently, and I have also upgraded my Rom.
I now use RRE's WM 6.5 v8.1 Rom, and now when I go to download the Citibank Java App from the link they text me, it tells me I have an unauthorized phone. I figure I can trick it into to downloading by adjusting the User Agent in the registry, but I am not sure what to adjust it to.
Is anyone else using this application, and if so, how did you get it to download.
I hope this is in the right place, and I searched for an answer but found nothing. This is also my fisrt post, after lurking for a long time.
I had this same exact problem. I upgraded to Da-G's 6.5 rom and I couldn't use the Citimobile app. I don't know if it's a 6.5 compatibility issue or a java compatibility issue. You can try downloading another java client to install the app and see if it works. If it doesn't the it's probably not compatible with WM6.5. Either way, you don't have to use that java app anymore... just use PIE and go to www.citi.com and it will take you to the Citibank wap page.
Hi Devs,
I really hope you guys can help me with this one, due to I have no idea whats going wrong:
Since the upgrade to Vista SP 2 I am not able to access my PC any more via remote desktop mobile.
Accessing Vista SP 2 PC through my notebook works well from both, LAN and WAN side.
But as soon as I try to access it via Remote Desktop Mobile on my touch HD or my TG01 I receive a connection error and I have no idea why.
I would be very happy if you could help me to find a solution for that due to I really like to boot my PC from anywhere in the world an access my sweet home desktop.
Thanks and with best Regards

Me neither, do really have to switch to Windows 7 pro to solve this?
Hi all,
I have searched off and on since yesterday regarding my FUZE with a windows mobile 6.5 ROM on it and Internet Explorer 403 error.
I have found others with different devices having similar issues so I thought I would post this. Please don't shoot me if this is a "Should have been obvious thing" but none of the other threads had answers.
I use AT&T as my service provider and could not use IE, only opera to browse the web. MSN didn't work either.
From my Tilt days I recalled the factory rom included a "hidden proxy disabler" CAB.
I searched today and tried this one:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Kaiser/removeHiddenProxy4CWS_0522.cab
It worked! IE can browse now.
I hope this helps someone else out besides me.
Hi, I have had to turn my xda trion back to factory settings and now i cannot use my wi-fi or any of the programs i used before. I have been told this will be fixed by an upgrade in the operating system for the phone. I have searched every where to find windows mobile 6 or 6.5. Does anyone know how to find it? Thanks
